The experience went well until I noticed the weight on my child's discharge paperwork was completely inaccurate. It was off by 25 pounds. This can be dangerous when providing medication with dosing based on height and weight. The medical assistant may need some definite re-training on taking vitals because she also said my daughter was 6'2 and that clearly was NOT correct. This is the worst urgent care EVER!! I literally stayed here for almost 2 hours waiting for a sports physical for my daughter! When we walked in there was only 1 other person in front of us. I am beyond pissed, now I was a walk in BUT a sports physical takes 2 min, they obviously do not know how to prioritize their time and are very unprofessional and rude!! The front desk associate is overwhelmingly unprofessional. #1 she wears a blanket on her shoulders, this is a professional environment, the front desk is the first line of confidence you have in a facility, and my immediate thought was "oh boy where have i decided to come" , if the facility is cold buy a sweater/jacket #2 Her attitude is short and rude. #3 the phones are never answered #4 the process is not explained and when asked why others that came after me , were called ahead, there was an explanation that they processed others paper work and mine was still being processed , which she was the one who should process the information, I am sure there is much work and I don't know the ins and outs of managing the reception/front desk area but I do feel there was lag, but i can accept if I am wrong. Wouldn't that be good information to provide a patient so they fully understand the process. When I suggested this for the future to improve customer service process I was met with a curt reponse, "that this is the process in every medical facility". Does that matter, this is your facility. Absolutely terrible, they are going to make you wait 2-3 hours even if you are bleeding, I took my brother here while his chin was busted open and bleeding out and this was the closest urgent care to me, not only that. Two unprofessional woman in the front who do not even deserve to work anywhere else are working in the clinic where they need to respect everyone, they have so much attitude even to the children. It's no fun having a sick kid but this place makes it so easy to bring them in. The ease of scheduling online definitely helps and the check in process is smooth. Got here a little early and checked in, they brought us back and the nurse was so so sweet. My baby was coughing and miserable and she took great care of him to get vitals. The NP was also very attentive and kind. We had a breathing treatment and before it was finished they were already checking on us. We were not welcomed when coming in, I had to ask if we needed to fill out paperwork or if they needed our insurance card. Our little one had some breathing issues. The nurse was great. However the doctor said he was concerned about RSV but they were out of tests. So we just needed to try and see the pedi tomorrow. So we paid to be told to just wait until tomorrow. Brought my 10 month old here because she had a high fever going on 2 days, and her pedi's nurse recommended we take her to an urgent care because of how high it was. We walked in, was not greeted at all by the receptionist. Just assumed we were to use the tablet to sign in. I say this because the next parent who came in was greeted and assisted right away. The doctor was amazing. Her patient care deserved 5 stars, but unfortunately the nurses took all of those away. They wanted to do a catheter to check her urine, which is already a hard decision to make for a 10 month old. But we wanted to go ahead and figure out what was wrong with my daughter so we agreed. Two nurses come in, ask me to hold her top half down while they do it. My daughter is screaming at the top of her lungs and I'm trying to console her when one nurse leaves the room and comes back with another pack to do the catheter again. Had I not asked, and had my fiancé not said no, they would've put my daughter through that pain again because they had no clue what they were doing and did the initial catheter incorrectly. Needless to say we left, took her to her pedi the following morning where she got the catheter done correctly by ONE nurse and with far less cries than before. Will not be taking my child for care here ever again. I'll drive to the children's hospital in medical center in Houston should we need after hours care in the future. read more

You could've been upfront regarding fees. I called my insurance company (UMR) prior to coming there and was told that there was not a deductible to be met or fee for Covid testing. I've gone to Signature ER in the past for Covid testing. Nothing out of pocket was paid I took my 16 year to Nightlife and had to pay $100 MD service fee & $150 Covid test. What was the MD fee for? He didn't do anything. The nurse or medical assistant administered the COVID test. This was a rip off in such a horrible time. There were 2 confirmed Covid cases on my son's football team. My son has a pre existing condition-asthma. I have another 5 year old son and 82 year old father in my home. It was important to get him tested immediately. read more

Absolutely no urgency. Horrible wait times. I understand that this is a pediatric urgent care for children and as a curtesy they are also COVID-19 testing adults, but a 2 hour + even after making an appointment and pre-submitting paperwork and providing insurance and co-pay payment is absolutely unacceptable. There is no actual need to make an appointment, as they will make you wait 30 minutes per person that is ahead of you. Even if you are doing rapid testing. This is horrible. I hope I don't have to take another COVID test after this day, but If I do I will NOT come here again. There are way better options for getting tests done. Last night my daughter came in because she was complaining that her ears hurt and she was running a fever. Both nurses told her she had no ear infection but there was something in her ear. They assured us no ear infection. We didn't trust their opinion so we went to her pediatrician this morning. She confirmed it was clearly an ear infection. I will never come here again. Paid a $100 copay to misdiagnosed my daughter. Luckily we didn't believe them and took her in the next morning. It could have gotten a lot worse. read more

Dr. Chu and staff of nurses are first rate, he is very gentle and nice guy that looks after our girls when our pediatrician hours are closed. They are very quick and thorough and make the visit as easy as possible!! We really like this office. Just had the absolute worst experience of my life here. I rushed my daughter in after she sliced her finger open only to be met with two front desk workers asking if I had an appointment. I said no, my daughter may need stiches (as she's standing there with blood dripping down her hand) and the two ladies told me they don't take walk ins. I was shocked- this is an urgent, care!!! HOW DO I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WHEN I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF AN EMERGENCY???? The front desk ladies rudely told me to go the website and make an appointment next time. I even asked if there was somewhere I should take my daughter to get stiches and they replied I don't know this area and that was that. SO RUDE!!! I can't believe they turned us away! The front desk reception staff 4/10-12 are extremely rude and don't even TRY to help. Please inform your COVID testing patients that 1)the email will come from Gene by Gene & take 2-4 days 2) if it has been over 4 days check on the results for your patients, especially those who have called daily looking for results. 3) and /or provide the contact information for Gene by Gene and let them call themselves. I googled then called Gene by Gene and was able to get my son's results instantly. THEY were awesome! The results had been ready and available 2 days!!!!!! I normally have a good experience when I come here but this time there was an issue that came up while we were here waiting after the nurse attended us, it took them up to 40 min to come in and test my daughter and we heard many people come in and out of the building and we where still here waiting and we asked what was taking so long to attend us and they said that they would attend here when it was her turn after we have been waiting 40 min for them to come "attend" us, 5 min later there comes the nurse and does the test on my daughter but in a bothered way and shoves the test down her throat and leaves and doesn't apologize or ask to bring for her water after she finished so I don't recommend coming here rude nurses.Sadly I've never had an issue here but this has been a really bad visit. read more

I was BEYOND disappointed with my most recent trip to this urgent care. Rest assured I will NEVER give this facility, nor any of their other locations my business and I will adamantly advise others to do the same! I was visiting my family in town when my son began to show signs of an ear infection. I googled the area and nearby pediatric urgent cares and found this facility. I decided to drive the 20 minutes from where we were staying due to their seemingly good reviews and their online reservation system. I called as soon as they opened and was told to reserve a spot online prior to coming. I reserved our spot online 10 minutes after the opened and then arrived about 20-30 minutes after they'd opened. During the drive my son fell asleep in the car, and like most moms with sick kids, I wanted to let him sleep as long as possible, so I called the clinic to inquire about our check in. I asked if coming in to wait or waiting for my reservation time at 2:15pm was accurate. I was told by the women who answered the phone ( I believe her name was"Lee/Leigh" but could not hear her too well), that the wait time was correct for the online reservation and to wait until that time I was given. What the receptionist failed to tell me was that the online reservation system was WORTHLESS because walk-ins are given priority. As I was I driving back to the clinic 1.5hrs later (to arrive for my scheduled check in time), I received a text message that my reservation time had been rescheduled to 200+ minutes later!! As you can imagine, I was a bit confused, so I called the clinic to inquire. The same receptionist answered the phone and then informed me it was because walkins had come in and were being seen first. So, why have a reservation system if it does not keep you in order?! What was even worse, was that she continued to say, "I'm sorry whoever you spoke to did not inform you", when she was the same damn person I spoke to, and she would not own up to nor take accountability for her error!! Irritated but still concerned about my child, I went into the clinic since I was already back in route. I then proceeded to check in and when I asked about the reservation, I was told they had no idea when I'd be seen and to wait in line. Great. Had I been informed about their policy properly, I would've woken my sleeping child from his car seat, and waited in the lobby when I had first arrived 30 minutes after they'd opened. The receptionist who started my check in(and was also the same woman I talked to on the phone), passed me off to another receptionist who had just walked in from what I assume was her lunch break. It was blatantly obvious that the receptionist I initially spoke to was avoiding helping me because she had previously made an error and was avoiding it. Both receptionists had a lack of sympathy and seemed annoyed to be working on a Saturday. I was never rude and, although irritated, never took it out on the receptionists. I understand mistakes can happen, however when there is a lack of accountability and a considerable lack of customer service, I draw the line. I was out of network and was prepared to pay for the visit out of pocket, but after the interaction with both receptionists, I refused to spend my money here. I left and was seen within an hour at another urgent care that was cleaner and had far better customer service. If you're in need or urgent care or an after hours clinic, go elsewhere! read more

I don't recommend this place the wait time is over 2hrs. There is nothing URGENT about this practice the front desk girls are clueless. I was a walk in and was told people that made online reservations even after I walked in would be in line before me. That is insane if I knew that the I would have done the appointment with the app but no that girl didn't care to tell us that when we walked in. I found out the hard way when my position in line kept changing. I am not sure why this place has all these reviews I wouldn't recommend this. Plus later found out these are NP's you are seeing not a Doctor. I refuse to go to any NP. The asian girl at front desk had the nerves to tell me my issue is not urgent and I should go to methodist across the street if you don't want to wait. Would give this zero stars if I could. Front desk staff was VERY unfriendly. We were referred to this office from Royal Urgent Care to get X-rays. The P.A. Said, "I wouldn't even know what to X-ray," and basically sent us on our way. The visit summary was COMPLETELY inaccurate, and when I went back into the office to ask about it, the P.A. just scratched part of it out. Update: after my insurance processed the claim I realized I paid more than my patient responsibility amount. I called asking for my refund (don't understand why they didn't contact me themselves as they also receive an EOB) and they stated they would mail me a check and it would take about 4 weeks. This was around the end of March and still no refund. I will wait another week and then call again but this is too much effort on my part for a visit that happened in 2018. You guys were overpaid and as soon as you realized it you should have tried to correct it ASAP. read more

I like the services, no doubt about it. But this year when we changed our plan and started actually looking at the bill, we realized their billing is extremely exaggerated and they differentiate trying to penalize if you have insurance. Their website clearly says that you pay $150 for all services within the facility, which is what they charge for uninsured patients. But if you have insurance they may bill you in the order of $400+ for the same services, which after discounts from the insurance goes down to half but still more than what an uninsured patient will pay. I thought insurance should provide discount over the listed price, but unfortunately not for this facility. You would better go to the facility without insurance and pay what is reasonable. I hope they resolve this discrepancy. read more

I took my son here because he had a horrible rash around his mouth and buttocks. I explained that he had caught a virus from daycare and the diarrhea extremely irritated him however his butt rash has never gotten that bad before which is why i brought him in. Check in was quick but when I finally got to see the doctor she took one look said "It's not infected so just use desitin" THAT WAS ALL! No meds, no advice, no concern at all. I was dismissed with no additional instruction or even good advice. She did a less than 2 minute exam. The following day I followed up with his pediatrician and it turns out he hand hand foot and mouth disease which is highly contagious. Total waste of a $75 copay and I will be appealing the claim they submit because I'm sure she will overbill for that subpar service and that misdiagnosis I received. Pissed. read more

Wow, I was recommended to come to this facility by my pediatrician, and am NEVER coming back. The older nurse practitioner here needs to be fired or retire because she obviously hates her job. She is extremely condescending and talked to me like I was an idiot. Mind you, both my husband and I are college-educated, with a Masters, and have our own businesses, yet she acted like we were lower-income teenage parents. I'm so offended. My first time here with my daughter and let me just say that I loved it! The nurses and staff were very friendly and the doctor was extremely caring and heard all of my concerns.
