Everything tasted as if came packaged. Nothing tasted fresh. After two full days of laying in my bed, I was taken to the physical rehab area, The therapists showed much compassion as they were working with people that had severely compromised health conditions. One of the therapists asked me, "Why are you here?". My condition did not require me being placed in such a high need facility. I arrived on Tuesday afternoon. I checked myself out on Friday afternoon.

Because of her advanced age she had additional complications that required around the clock care, including ensuring she took her medications on time, was hooked up to her oxygen correctly, made her healthy meals and helped around the house with laundry and basic cleaning. The team at Visiting Nurses (Beatriz, Liberty, Ritaj, Lillian) took such excellent care of her, and she enjoyed having them with her. We would definitely use them in the future and have referred them to others as well!

So kind, compassionate, and willing to help with making my father's last days comfortable and dignified. Dr. Dastmalchi was so empathetic and willing to listen. He was my father's doctor when he was brought into the ER, and followed him through discharge and into hospice. He met us where we were at and made sure we felt we were in good and capable hands. Francis Guerrero was incredibly helpful and efficient in getting my father's care transferred to Graceland. She came to visit my father and our family on a Saturday afternoon, and by that evening, everything was set in motion. She took care of all of the logistics. Karl (nurse) came to do the first "tuck in visit" for my father at home within 30 minutes of being brought home by ambulance. He was so kind to my father and immediately tended to our needs. Karl was willing to jump right in and do the hard work the hospital was unwilling to do. Karl made sure we had all of the comfort medications we needed for him. The next day, Haydee Palomino (nurse) came to take over my father's care. The agency listened to our request to have a native Spanish speaker. My father felt right at home knowing he was able to express himself freely, and knowing she would be culturally competent. She was wonderfully gracious with my father and made him feel at ease right away. She ordered all of the equipment we needed and checked in that afternoon to make sure it had all arrived. She validated all the work we had done to ensure a smooth passing. On the second full day with Graceland, my father passed away peacefully. He was calm and comfortable in his final hours. We couldn't have asked for a better experience with hospice. Thank you Graceland for making a difficult time in our lives as smooth as possible.

I would call this "business" HeartLESS Hospice. If I could give no stars I would!…read more When my mother needed hospice care during her final months, her physician handed us a couple of brochures. We contacted this place and only signed because the in-take nurse was so kind and helpful during the process. Sadly that was the only good thing. This hospice only cares about saving $. One package of wipes per week - even though more was necessary. I had to threaten legal action to get pain meds for my mother when she developed shingles 10 days before her death. This hospice would send our different nurses each week - I later found out they hired temporary nurses from an agency because good nurses wouldn't work for Mario and his friend in Human Resources. Very poorly run company with no real oversight from their corporate offices. Would never recommend this heartless place for anyone who has loved ones in need of hospice care. PS - the one good nurse quit. Sadly my mother passed before we could switch hospices.
