She cared for my mother with compassion and kindness. She treated her with respect and love. She helped my mom eat her food and drink her drinks. Accompanied my mother to the restroom. Assisted her in her walking and transported her to and from the event. I couldn't have asked for more from this service. I had no worries that my mother was cared for while I hosted this dinner. I called Nightingale in an emergency situation..the caretaker for my 97 year old father called and said she was at the emergency dept with her grandson. I found Nightingale on google called them in a panic! Pramod was extremely responsive and said he would get a caretaker to my house in 46 minutes. My wife had an unknown version of encephalitis and came home after a 93 day stay in the hospital, I had used caretaker services from others in the past with my parents and was skeptical from my experiences, but to my surprise Nightingale has surpassed my expectations in caring for my wife, the communication has been as good as can be expected and the staff is unbelievable with helping. If I could give this company 10 stars, I would. We were at our most stressful time trying to find emergency care with a blind family member and another disabled family member in the same household. Nightingale came recommended to me and I called end of day n Thursday expecting not to receive help until Monday. Instead, they called within minutes of receiving my message and impressed me as they asked about family member personalities and needs so that it was a proper fit for both the caretaker and the family. This was so different from past experiences where it felt transactional, not as if someone understood the desperate human on the other end of the phone. We have used Nightingale on a number of occasions for care for my 88 year old father who we recently put on Home Hospice. Normally My mother can take care of him but she has back issues so we need assistance from time to time and everyone they have sent over has been extremely professional and has shown so much patience and care with not just my Dad but my mom as well. Let me mention that the first time we had someone come out a care coordinator came out prior to the day we needed someone to take an assesment of the care needed along with the setup of the home. Our Care Coordinator name was Bebe. She was very attentive and was very understanding of dealing with older indian parents who aren't used to this type of assistance. She explained she would also show up for the first day so that she can explain to the caregiver on what was needed and probably to give them pointers on how to work with the person they were there to care for along with any family members as well. For us the issue of getting a caregiver was very sensitive but Nightingale took the time to understand our needs and prepped every caregiver to know what would be great service. We would definitely recommend anyone needing this type of help to give Nightingale a call and working with them and they will provide the care your elderly relative would need. Wonderful care. Had them come it to help me with my 92 year old mom the day before Thanksgiving while I spent the day in the kitchen cooking. I'm moms full time caregiver but there are times when I have to do other things and can't give her my full attention which she needs with her dementia and other physical issues. I have been very hesitant in the past to bring an outsider in to help, I have a hard time trusting anyone with my mama. Natalie was so great. She was here for 8 hours, was super attentive and very sweet with mom. She made it possible for me to get everything done without a worry... and our dogs loved her too haha! We hired Nightingale and used their services to help care for my mom from Sept. 2022 until July 2023, and we highly recommend them! In September, my 79-year-old mother was living on her own, still mobile but no longer driving, and was requiring regular help, primarily with transportation. I called Nightingale's office when I was overwhelmed, and my mother was NOT thrilled with the idea of involving "strangers" in her life. In speaking to Pramod on that first call, he gave me all the information I needed and never pressured me. He was calm, helpful, and reassuring. We started with two four-hour blocks of care each week. Primarily, the caregiver at that time was company; she took my mom on errands, helped her in and out of the car, walked with her, and helped with some organizational tasks she had been putting off. With the help of her caregiver, my mom got out more and made a new connection that she enjoyed; it was a very positive experience. My mom's health took a significant turn a few months later, and I called Nightingale, requiring 24-hour care on short notice. They arranged caregiving shifts so very quickly and had someone waiting at her house when my brother brought her home from the hospital. It was taken care of so quickly and easily that my brother said it was like "magic," taking a massive weight off our shoulders. My mom's health and independence over the last six months of her life ranged significantly from needing occasional help and companionship to 24-hour care requiring changing diapers, preparing food, and monitoring medication while she was bedridden in hospice. Nightingale was always willing to adjust to more or fewer shifts as her needs changed; they updated and communicated with us regularly and responded quickly to our concerns. At the end of her life, my mom had developed tremendously close relationships with SEVERAL different caregivers from Nightingale. They were her comfort in the middle of the night, sitting quietly or talking with her as she tried to sleep. They were some of her best friends, joking, crying, and supporting her through challenging times. My brothers and I also felt that they had become family. We received texts and in-person updates from them every day. They sat with me in the ER during emergencies and in her home after her passing, sharing the burden and love for my mom. We received visits, messages, and check-ins from them months after her passing. Bringing Nightingale into our lives was one of the best decisions. Pramod, Valerie, and the office staff are sincerely caring and invested. Cindy, Frances, Sandy, Claudia, and Romi are amazing and selfless caregivers. Five stars do not justify our experience with the team at Nightingale Senior Care. Due to last-minute assistance for hospice care for my dad we had three different helpers scheduled. Each was better than the other with polite bedside, sensitivity to my fathers, fragile condition, comforting us and understanding what we were going through. They were prompt, clean and always kept my fathers room neat and ensured my father was comfortable every minute. We never saw them on their cell phone even while my father was asleep. They would sit by the chair and read a book. The management is nothing but 10 stars and above. Their assistance was only one phone call away, without back-and-forth or repetition of requirements. They ensured we had everything we needed in the most delicate period of our lives. I recently had to find care for my elderly parents, both 86 years of age. My mother took a fall and when she was released from the rehabilitation hospital and the social worker suggested 24 hour care for one week. Then continuing care 4-5 hours per day. I researched and found Nightingale Senior care and I am very happy with their services. First of all, the owners Jim and Ellen are professional and met with my siblings and I to discuss all of the options we had available to us. They then offered to let us interview the candidates that were available for our needs. They asked us to list what we would like the caregiver to do. Jim and Ellen are meticulous on following up to see that we are satisfied with the care. The caregiver we chose has exceeded our expectations. She cooks meals for my parents, helps with light house work, encourages mom to do her physical therapy exercises, takes mom out on walks, and helps with moms bathing. My mother really looks forward to her help and companionship. I had considered not using an agency, but when I researched it further I found out that I really did not have the skills or time to find responsible, qualified care. And I also found that some private people charge extra for travel time. In the end Nightingale was the best choice for our family. I have given them 5 stars because we have two caregivers a week from here and they both are wonderful! They are very kind to my dad and always willing to help him and take care of his surroundings. They are very knowledgeable and professional and wear clean neat scrubs. The owner has given them a checklist of duties to perform to make sure everything gets done. What I like most is that both caregivers treat my dad like he is family. They take my dad out in his wheelchair for walks and they have conversations with him. I cannot say enough about Nightingale, their employees, and the services we received for my father-in-law Richard. We were in the middle of a HORRIBLE experience with another senior care facility and needed a caregiver to start the very next day. I called and spoke to Aris and explained our situation and what we needed. He came out that night and assured us that he had a caregiver who could start the next morning. Aris and Courtney both showed up early so I could go over Richard's needs. They were both very professional and punctual. Courtney was attentive and very sweet to Richard. She always made sure he took his medicine and ate a healthy meal. The following Monday, the permanent caregiver Lavern started. Again, Aris and Lavern both showed up early so I could meet her and give her directions. She cared for Richard for the next seven weeks and did an outstanding job. It's hard for me to find the words to express the gratitude I feel toward her. Yes, she took care of Richard's physical needs, but more than that, she became like part of our family. She would take him for walks and they would go to the park. She even loved our three, loud, sometimes obnoxious dogs. Even the office staff that I spoke to over the phone were always helpful, friendly, and professional. Every single one of them get five stars in my book. I'm sure all Nightingales caregivers are just as incredible, but Lavern and Courtney are the best! I will forever be grateful to Nightingale and their amazing staff. Nightingale provided caregivers for my mother for the better part of a year, until her death in December of 2013. They were truly a godsend; nobody could possibly have provided better care. They were always here when they were scheduled, and if for any reason her scheduled caregiver was out, sick or on vacation, they contacted me in advance and provided someone else so that it was always covered. As Mom deteriorated, they took on more and more tasks for her, and she was always very comfortable with their care.
