I have worked here for about 3 months now and it has been such a great experience. The Residents and staff have been such sweethearts to me. The level of care and compassion is ideal for our loved ones to reside in. The type of care the residents receive is immaculate, from care providers to dinner. I don't think I have been anywhere else where the staff and management work so well to build a solid foundation for our elderly. There are also LVNS and Med Techs that help the residents thrive as well and overall have had an awesome experience with the wholesome care that has been provided. They also offer palliative care for those needing extra help. Another thing Worth mentioning is that they offer support groups and many activities as the elderly with degenerative diseases progress, their level of care also progresses and it's provided right next door at Villagio. Thank you Capriana for the amazing work. I hope to someday retire in a place like this.

She keeps telling us, "They are so nice to me here". She likes the food. Although for the last 4 days, she has wanted shrimp salad for dinner. It must be good. She has been getting great nursing care. They get her up with a lift and help her out with her needs. Mom has become more engaging with other residents and the staff. It has been good to see her brighten. My dad goes to visit two times a day, every day. Parking is plentiful and he has an easy time getting there.

I'm thrilled to report that Morningside continues to meet, and very often exceeds, our very high expectations. Here are a few tips/learnings since my 2025 update. Tip #1 - My parents have a Kaiser Medical Advantage Plan. I learned recently there are some nuances to their medical coverage at Morningside's onsite Skilled Nursing facility as well as Park Vista. We've opted to keep my parents enrolled in Kaiser because they've had the same PCPs for over 25 years. Be sure you understand the potential financial ramifications if you're a Kaiser patient. Tip #2 - Do yourself a favor and ask to work with Monica Silva in the Marketing Department. She'll guide you every step of the way. She also remains an invaluable resource long after you enter Morningside as a new resident. Now on to my 2026 update as my parents start year 3 at Morningside. Over the past year, both parents have experienced minor medical emergencies necessitating EMT visits to their home. Living in NorCal, it's very reassuring to know that a quick call to the front gate and/or simply knocking off the phone receiver in either bathroom results in an immediate visit from one of Morningside's 24/7 EMTs. Several of their EMTs are current medical students. While the food selection/quality has declined a tad bit over the years, it's still very good, and Morningside's waitstaff are beyond kind and patient. My parents enjoy the entire F&B team, and they especially adore Victor and twins Liz and Melissa because they cater to their every needs. When the guest room experienced an unexpected maintenance issue on the day we were scheduled to arrive, Olga called me that morning and arranged our stay at a nearby hotel at Morningside's expense. She also provided us with breakfast coupons for the duration of our 3-night stay since our hotel room didn't include breakfast. There was a recent situation that prompted me to reach out to Sal in Housekeeping. Since I was onsite, I asked Sal for an in-person meeting and Sal arranged for us to meet the very next day. He also invited Morningside's Executive Director (Chris Oakeson) to our meeting because it involved a sensitive staffing issue. After listing to my concerns, Sal and Chris promptly addressed the issue to my full satisfaction. I could go on and on, suffice it to say my parents are absolutely thrilled to live at Morningside. My mother who has difficulty making friends is thriving in her new community. These are my father's actual words when I asked him how he liked living there, "You know, I lay in bed some days asking myself if I deserve to be so happy and live such a carefree life in this beautiful place!" I think that says it all. :)

Since my father passed away seven years ago, I have been caring for my mother. However, as her memory declined, I could no longer personally guarantee her safety and quality of life. I researched several memory care facilities throughout Orange County, and none met my requirements until I found Crescendo. From the moment I walked in , I knew it was the right place for my mother. My has decided not to move out with any of us, we wanted to take her with us, we are all good children to her I promise ; but she decided that she feels so comfortable there that wants to stay. Better compliment than that of a resident having the choice to stay or leave and yet wants to stay can't be found. The entire purpose of assisted living is to provide dependable assistance and peace of mind to residents and their families, and unfortunately, that has not been our experience. Phone calls frequently go unanswered, emails are often ignored, and most concerning of all, there have been times when she has pressed her assistance button with very long response times. Today, we decided to actually test the response time ourselves. While we were there, we pressed her assistance button and waited to see how long it would take for someone to come help her. We waited 40 minutes and nobody showed up. That experience was extremely concerning. Fourty minutes without any response isn't just poor service--it raises serious questions about resident safety. What if my mother had fallen? What if she was having a medical emergency and was unable to call anyone else? An assistance button provides very little peace of mind if nobody actually responds to it. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this facility for a loved one to ask detailed questions about staffing levels, medication administration, actual response times to assistance buttons, and how emergencies are handled before making a decision.
