They never talked down to him or treated him like a child. They always reminded us that this was his home, and they were simply there to support him. What stood out most was how much life there was in the community. There was music, activities, resident dogs roaming the halls, laughter, and genuine joy. Residents are encouraged, not forced, to participate, and they're cared for as individuals, not patients. The community is clean, the residents are well cared for, and you can genuinely feel the love. My dad eventually transitioned to Silverado Hospice, and his passing was peaceful. During those final days, the staff cared for our family just as much as they cared for him. They brought us meals, checked on us constantly, and surrounded us with compassion during one of the hardest times of our lives. We will always be grateful for the love and dignity they gave my dad. If you're looking for memory care for someone you love, I can't recommend Silverado highly enough.

I was always proud to stand next to her in front of God when she sang Ave Maria. She is an Angel. The music we hear in the main living room is mostly 1950s. Even though I was born in the sixties, my sister was born in the forties. I know all the songs. Saturday, she will move on to the next phase of her life and the next phase of her dementia. Maybe she will arrange flowers with Vinnie for the dining room while we prepare her few remaining belongings for the journey. Her room at the new place will be smaller so she won't be taking her furniture. I'll keep it for her because it's a special wood her late husband loved. On that last day at Silverado, I hope she will take the exercise class. It's so crucial for mobility and, thank God, she is still able to stand and walk on her own. When I think of all the trips she took with Silverado, it makes me smile. I saw adorable photos of Mr. G. photobombing my sister at some farm. I adore the photo of my sister at a pool on one of the outings. Her face reflected a really good time. I have been so honored to meet many men and women who cannot live alone, but are living a reasonably dignified life with their situations. I met a woman who is so beautiful that she makes me wonder what her life must have been like once upon a time. Now, she, like so many, loves candy. I call her Candy and it's obvious her family really loves her. My sister has attended so many social functions. The last one was a luau and that Hawaiian buffet and Hawaiian dancers were something really grand. You could see that everybody enjoyed it in their own way. Well, one way my sister communicated with the world before Alzheimer's stole her words was with a silver flute. It's on a table in her room at Silverado, but she doesn't play it anymore. I'd like to ask a favor. I'll be keeping her busy while my nieces pack her things on Saturday. Perhaps you could play some flute music on her final day as a bon voyage. I know that you have all had her best interests at heart this past year. Thank you to all for each assist, kind word, medicine, redirect, class, game, meal, field trip, hair style, clothes change and prayer. If you knew how many sick children she willed to stay alive with her infinite love, as a nurse, you would know the work you do really matters. She really matters and thank you for all you have done for her.

I have worked here for about 3 months now and it has been such a great experience. The Residents and staff have been such sweethearts to me. The level of care and compassion is ideal for our loved ones to reside in. The type of care the residents receive is immaculate, from care providers to dinner. I don't think I have been anywhere else where the staff and management work so well to build a solid foundation for our elderly. There are also LVNS and Med Techs that help the residents thrive as well and overall have had an awesome experience with the wholesome care that has been provided. They also offer palliative care for those needing extra help. Another thing Worth mentioning is that they offer support groups and many activities as the elderly with degenerative diseases progress, their level of care also progresses and it's provided right next door at Villagio. Thank you Capriana for the amazing work. I hope to someday retire in a place like this.

She came to our home and spent over an hour getting to know my mother personally to assess the specific character of my mother's dementia so that she could make the best recommendation for communities we could tour. She came with us on the tours instead of "sending us off into the wild" on our own, the value of which is hard to put into words. I had visited about 10 communities by myself before working with Pauline and found some that seemed like they had some potential, but it wasn't until Pauline arrived in our lives that we found a TRULY ideal place for my mom to thrive. Here's what's different about working in- person with a skilled placement professional like Pauline: 1- They have looked into your loved ones eyes and created a personal and compassionate connection that is literally impossible to cultivate if you're only ever speaking with someone over the phone to find places to tour. 2- Pauline just KNOWS ... she is actually from Southern California so she knows the area VERY well and her wealth of personal relationships with the communities that she recommends based on your loved one's care and social needs is invaluable. 3- Superhero Assist, Part 1 ... my mother had planned to move to one community, deposit submitted and everything, but at the very last minute they denied her residence there bc suddenly they decided she could only live in the Memory Care wing and not in the Assisted Living wing, which did not seem at all appropriate based on my mother's expression of her condition.  Needless to say I became intensely disappointed and "rather" upset but Pauline made herself available to listen to the situation and by the end of the day she had not one but TWO tours scheduled for the very next day - and the 2nd of those communities is the one my mother fell in love with and moved to a couple of weeks later. To sum up my mother's experience of that 2nd tour - not even 10 ft past the door after touring she began crying tears of joy and relief bc she felt so welcomed and at home there... talk about a home run experience! 4- Superhero Assist, Part 2 ... on moving day, my mother (despite packing her stuff for two weeks) became confused about the move, became upset with me and refused to leave the house when the movers left with her things (welcome to the adventure of dementia!).  Speechless and confused, I rang Pauline to see what I could do ... she told me not to worry , just to follow the movers over to the community to get the room set up and she would come over to the house and comfort my mom and find a way to get her over to the community.  By the way - this was on a Saturday ... again, this level of warm, considerate, caring service is absolutely not something you can get from a person that you've only ever spoken with on the phone. When my mom and Pauline arrived, my mom was smiling and at ease, ready to move in. Since then, my mom won't stop raving about how much she loves the staff, her room, the other residents, the food and on & on. To conclude, I say again: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED... #betterCallPaulineHampton

What ultimately sold us on this community was the memory care. We decided that it would be best to choose a community that had assisted living and memory care in one building so, if the time ever came, it would be a smoother transition should that level of care be needed. Although the building is a bit older, it is well taken care of and has a beautiful courtyard for residents and families to enjoy.
