When I admitted to the hospital I was worried about my leg swelling, pain, and to be on that continue diuretic medications, but the way Selma makes it easier for me to understand that she print a educational pamphlets for me with pictures that makes me understand my disease process. I also have positive experience with Methodist doctors' team, but they only visit me for 30 seconds to 1 minutes, but nurses are the one who deals with me for whole 12-14 hours a day, which makes a big impact on my life. One of the nurse aid told me Salma works like 4-5 days a week, which is a lot, but I don't feel that way by her positive attitude and energy towards her patients, she always knocks my door and calls me "hi friend, are you ok lol", that already making me feel like I am not a sick person lol. I wish I would never be sick, but if I would I wants to be taking care of under methodist hospital 4-south nurse Salma M. I don't remember where she is from, but all I remember was her smiling face, positive attitude and funny talks which makes my day better. I would also like to share that, as a patient, I can tell we already have a stressful day going on with a lot of interruptions, lack of sleep, away from family, pain, inconvenience environment, but a positivity from a nursing staff truly changed my day. I want to say a big THANK YOU to Salma for her best care and positivity towards her job. I was lucky to have a joyful nurse for all three days. Thank you Methodist once again.

As someone who works in medicine, I can attest that these physicians, and physicians assistants are fantastic. As a young adult with a complicated medical history, it's been hard to find doctors that take my pain and symptoms seriously. They are great about listening, and coming up with treatment options without needing endless imaging and tests. Their lab is also great, and has never even left a bruise after a blood draw. The front desk receptionists are fantastic and very responsive. The best part is how quickly they get you referrals to specialists when needed.

Simmons Cancer Center .. New…read more My 73 year old wife had a lung scan every year since 2021 revealing "ground glass" effect causing recommend to another yearly scan. She missed 2023 because of couple extensive back and neck surgeries. 2024 scan revealed 2 very small nodules yet recommendation for wait a year see if they grow. Unknown to me maybe because my wife did not see it as significant. She kept this info from me. I would have pushed go back in 6 months at most. November 2025 one nodule had quadrupled in size now above the .8 MM that triggers biopsy. A good local hospital will remained unnamed performed the scans and biopsy but I knew she needed professional specialists. After some internet evaluation I might have chosen Houstons MD Anderson being number one in the world but distance and possibility of multiple traveling appointments caused opting for Simmons Center at UTSW. It has a very high rating, the same certifications, same modern technology and was closer access which is important for people of our age. It was a good decision as we met oncologist Dr Wei the next week who has an outstanding online video introducing herself to prospective patients. Just the video was reassuring! Even tho we had no appointment with Dr Nelson he came in and looked at our scans. Was also reassuring and said that they usually do surgery within 30 days if they think it is the correct path. This was music to my paranoid ears. PET scan and breathing test was required then he lived up to his promise removing both nodules and several lymph nodes for lab evaluation in the same surgery December 2025. They think she is cured (KNOCK ON WOOD) In summary I would give 6 stars if possible for both these doctors and even tho we did not have to use her expertise Dr Zhang (the radiation specialist) also was welcoming, friendly and very professional. These doctors and every one at Simmons from valet to pre and post surgery nurses were pros and always polite and friendly. We did not have to partake in their Hope Lodge which is a free hotel for their patients. Radiation would have been daily for 6 weeks and living 75 miles away would not have been able to keep up with that drive every day. But it is there if you need it. I have read some reviews about taking too long to get appointments or having to wait past time of appointment and would suggest achieving excellent trained specialist is the assignment for you or loved ones! Organizing yourself and your records will streamline the process of dealing with a large and very busy organization. Maybe write down notes in your smart phone listing questions as you think of them before the appointment. Finally patience might be the best attribute to becoming a successful patient. Let me assure you these people will be on it quickly

My daughter came into your hospital at 3:00 in the afternoon and didn't leave until close to 9:00,…read more almost 6 hours and she didn't get any help figuring out how to manage her pain! She was moved from waiting room to waiting room and then told that there were too many people in the hospital for anyone to care for her, so she was taken back to another waiting room. Nurses continued to walk by her even though she complained that she was still nauseous and in pain after being given nausea medicine and pain medicine. You treated her like she wasn't valuable, needed or worthy of care and people commit suicide for less than that! My daughter left crying and in still in pain and no one even offered her an apology or an explanation for why she wasn't being taken care of after 6 hours! You were more than ready to take her IV out and let her leave and sit outside in the heat, instead of taking care of her and that is unkind, uncaring and unprofessional! This is a horrible hospital and a horrible ER and I would warn anyone attempting to go here to beware! The staff that were taking care of my daughter today are horrible people and you all should be ashamed of yourselves and you shouldn't be working in a hospital where the main objective is HEALING people! She asked to speak with hospital administration because she didn't feel like she was being cared for and you told her she needed to talk to the charge nurse but when the charge nurse couldn't be found, you should have sent her to hospital administration, but instead you just told her there was nothing you could do for her. When I tried to inform Kaitlyn Johnson about it, she of corse made excuses for her staff and somewhat apologized. I was not satisfied but was happy to at least have gotten an half ass apology. I called again today and the same girl answered the phone. I could tell because it was the same exact experience as the last. I will not be returning to this medical facility and will not recommend Kaitlyn to anyone. I do not deserve to be treated less than or talked to like I am an idiot. I am a customer willing to pay for services offered but not anymore. I will be posting reviews on every platform I can find on this place and physician.

Especially Quemado, she is the main one that complains about us patients. I went to her office and basically interviewed her, I asked questions, things that didn't relate to my medical history to make sure that I was comfortable with her treating me. That was 7 years ago and I couldn't be happier to have Dr. Evans as my doctor. We have been through lots of ups & downs together regarding my medical health and she always remains positive as well as making me feel like she has my best interest at the forefront. On a recent visit Dr. Evans could tell something was wrong before I could even open my mouth to tell her. And when I left she told me if I needed anything before my next visit to not hesitate to contact her. I love Dr. Evans, I can't say that enough and if you are lucky, she can be your doctor as well.

I've recently had issues getting through to the office by phone (which I've been informed is due to too many calls flooding their system and they are in the process of installing a whole new phone system to resolve the issue), however I've been able to message Dr. Evans through the MyBSWHealth app and get very prompt answers to follow up questions from a recent visit! She even responded to me on a weekend when she was not working! I don't want to refer people to her (because I don't want to make it hard to get appointments with her!) but if you're looking for a great doctor, definitely check her out! With regard to the overall office, I'm usually in and out in a timely manner. I've never experienced any unreasonable wait times and the staff has always been courteous.
