Do not use for alteration services! I dropped off a pair of pants before Thanksgiving, needing to have them hemmed with a pen marking the spot. Two weeks later, they contacted me to tell me the pin had fallen out. I advised the alteration length at that point was approximately 3 inches. 2 weeks later I stopped in to pick them up only to find out they had done nothing because the person who called me did not notify the seamstress. The thread line is crooked, looks like they just cut them and put one line of crooked thread through each leg. And they charged me $25 for this horrible job. I would do negative stars if I could. Careful Cleaners is ridiculous. There aren't many choices near me, so I have been a few times. Often, my service is fine. The last time, it was terrible. The shop is small, and it is evident that they do not dry clean in-house. For a place that doesn't do the work, it was so hot in there. The prices are also fairly expensive for standard dry cleaning. I dropped a few shirts (regular old men's, button-down shirts), and was informed that they would be ready by 2pm the next day. They are open until 4pm, so I went around 3:30pm. Not only were the shirts not ready, but they weren't even there, since they don't service their own items. I really needed the shirts, and I had to wait until the beginning of the next week to pick them up instead. Not optimal. The response was a shoulder shrug from the young gal at the front desk. Don't waste your money here. Find somewhere that not only has better prices, but that services their own clothing, and cares about your business. read more

The gal at counter, that actually had always helped me was even upset that they were ignoring me! Took my dads shirts to be dry cleaned and some laundered on Sat. had to pay cash ($159!) because she was on the phone the entire time we were there with whoever was trying to get their system back up. Came to pick up Tues and there were still at the other facility. No, we did t want to go over there, no huge deal came back Wednesday. She forgot to go get them (seriously?) so promised Thursday, today. 1pm they are still in her hot car. Everything was hot to touch, especially the hangers. Ridiculous customer service and we will be looking for another place next time he needs stuff dry cleaned. She was apologizing but enough is enough. read more

I have been taking my shirts to dry cleaners for about 60 years. I have never had shirts returned to me which looked no better than machine washed and hung up. I requested heavy starch and all of the shirts looked like they had been not even starched at all, even though they had a tag which said, heavy starch. The dry cleaning went well and normal. I brought in 10 work jackets to be dry cleaned (over $200 dollar purchase). I asked if they could measure my size for a suit jacket I am ordering for a wedding. The alteration lady did not want to do it and was pretty rude. She said she would do it for $10, which right behind her was a sign that said free sizing. Brought in curtains in to be dry clean. They launder them and didn't dry clean. The curtains shrank, they stained them and are completely ruined. The employees admitted to making the mistake. Doug will not refund or replace the curtains. Curtains cost over a $1000.00 and the service we were charged to DRY CLEAN was over $200.00. DO NOT USE THEM. I've been using these guys out of convenience but I have not been happy with the quality so I was thinking of switching anyways.. the other day I picked up my husbands dress shirts and 3 of them had rips on the arm in the same spot.. the manager was very rude and refused to replace them or refused to even listen when I was telling him. Very unprofessional! He stated they don't even press shirts with rips even tho the shirts still had tags on them from the cleaners... so how did they get pressed? I will never use this place again. Absolutely horrible. I took my dress shirts in to be cleaned and one came back with obvious mineral stains from the iron. Ship told me it was from smoking. Funny thing is nobody in my family smokes. They tried to remove the stains but ultimately made it even worse. Owner said he would compensate me for 50% of the cost of the shirt. I agreed and then heard nothing back. This is a great place to get professional alterations done. LaRue is an independent contractor here at Careful Cleaners, and she does quality work. Today I picked up the second item I have had her work on, and I am very pleased. The first item was a floor-length, formal, fully-lined black evening skirt in a polyester crepe fabric. The slit was too high for me, showing too much skin when I sat. Also, the lining had torn at the top of the slit inside under the overlap. LaRue figured out how to repair the lining and lower the slit without hindering the style of the skirt. She took the time to consult with me and be sure I would be getting what I wanted. The second was an Alfred Dunner thrift-store treasure, a wonderful peach-skin red jacket with black hand stitched detail. It had no buttons and was just a smidgen large for me. I had realized that buttons would pull it over, making it fit perfectly, and black buttons would enhance the already classy design. I couldn't pass up such a great deal! LaRue worked with me to determine button size and placement that would look like a designer feature rather than a homegrown do-over. Then she made the buttonholes and sewed on the buttons I found across the street at Hobby Lobby. I love my "new" jacket! LaRue offers quality work at very reasonable prices. She takes the time to consult with clients to meet their needs. Turnaround time is very reasonable. You won't be able to get things the next day or two, though, because this seamstress is in demand, so plan ahead! Her estimate of time required is perfect. You can depend on it. If she promises three weeks, it will not be three weeks and a day! I have also had just as good results from this bargain cleaner as I have gotten with much more expensive stores. read more

BEWARE!!!!! Take your clothes anywhere but here. We took in some items to be altered. One item was rushed as my husband needed it for business. The other items we were told to come back the following week (at the end Of the week). We dropped off our items on Tuesday the 8th and planned to pick up around the 18th or 19th of Sept. When we received no call we tried to call in the following Monday the 21st to speak with the seamstress. she couldn't be bothered to get on the phone and instead would relay her info the the front desk rep on the phone with us. The items wouldn't be available until the end of this week-around the 25th. This is 3 weeks nearly! What makes this difficult is we needed these items for a business trip my husband is going on and now don't even have option to go to another place. Shame on you Careful Cleaners. We recently moved here and not knowing anyone have depended on reviews from yelp for a lot of things. That being said we also like to "support the little guy" wherever we live. Even though this place didn't have any reviews it was close to our place so I decided to give it a try. I dropped off the clothes. The 2 women there were both friendly. My husband picked up, that's where the story changes. He said that the guy that was at the store was rude and acted bothered by the fact that my husband was even there - that's strike one. When my husband pulled the shirts out to hang them up he noticed that all of the sleeves (I think he had 4 or 5 shirts) were haphazardly done and didn't look very good - strike 2. When he actually went to wear them he discovered that 2 of the shirts had buttons that had been munched (his word not mine!). They looked so bad (one actually having a piece of it gone) that we've had to sew new ones on - strike 3. We won't be back. read more

This was my first time visiting this cleaners, as we are new to the area. The employee rolled her eyes at me when I asked to pick up my suit coat because I did not bring my ticket. My last cleaners did not require this method of verification. A simple, polite explanation would have sufficed. Instead, she rather harshly told me I would need to sign "the book", as if I had failed and this was my first warning. I absolutely love this cleaners, I have traveled and worked in many states and their customer service, cleaning along with pressing and the alterations I needed to have done in a prompt manner for my oldest daughter were amazing...due to the fact that she's a junior bridesmaid in my baby sisters wedding were done so well that I ended up going back in everyday since to take in everyone from my family's gowns and tuxedo. They have great prices and the front end specialist that takes the order and info is so caring you'll be happy you found a cleaners that will take great pride in caring for your wardrobe very carefully. Had a terrible, terrible experience at their Sossaman location. Don't take anything of value to this establishment--they are dishonest, untrustworthy, and careless. They ruined my wedding dress, lost my crown and veil, and would not give us a refund for it or even own up to the mistake. Working with them through the whole ordeal was a nightmare. I live close by and need to have about 8 my professional shirts cleaned a few times a month. For the first couple months or so everything went fine. Soon after I noticed that one of my white collared/cuffed shirts came back with what looked like blue ink on the cuffs. They had no problem redoing it but when it came back it was still the same. They once again tried to redo it to no avail. The owner (at another location) took it and tried his best to clean it. After over a month he ended up giving store credit for it. All was forgiven for the most part but now I have a grease mark on another shirt that wasn't there and don't want to deal with another month of cleaning. On top of that they newest employee is extremely rude and should not be dealing with customers. She's slow to greet and always acts like I'm bothering her. I travel for a living so I need my dress shirts laundered and pressed. I had been going to a place in California where I worked long term and once that ended I had to find something near my home. I searched through those nearby and selected Careful Cleaners. I took my shirts in (19) with a coupon and had them laundered and pressed. They came back with some 6 in two different bags, 4 in one bag and 3 in one bag. The ones with 6 were a little crammed in but they were next day so hadn't been sitting for a while. I then had to drop off more (13) and asked that they limit the shirts to 4 to a bag. The lady insisted they NEVER put more than 4 to a bag but was seemed genuinely concerned. I didn't get to pick them up next day and had to wait until I returned from my trip. I returned a week later to pick up my shirts and they had 6 in one bag 4 in one bag and 3 in one bag. I just had to shake my head as the 6 were noticeably tight in their bag. Also while on my trip I noticed that the cuff button on one of my shirts had been shattered by the press. In the past when this happened the place I went would just pull it off and fix it when I sent it in for launder and press again. Not this place. They wanted to charge me the $2 to take the extra button off my shirt and put it on replacing the button that was broken by them. That is almost as much as it costs to launder and press my shirt. When I asked, she just shrugged and hinted toward the sign that they aren't liable for any damage to the shirt. Who knows what they would say if they did something to actually damage the shirt that couldn't be repaired. I'll find somewhere else that appreciates my business as I'll be doing this for a while and surely it's worth a small token of showing you want a customer. read more
