Extremely long wait. Unclear instructions related to text messages I received. I had to revisit the reception desk 3x to get a proper check-in. The system then told me I had not arrived so they were cancelling my appt. (I had been there an hour). I did not think my requests were taken into consideration well. My husband went in and all they did was give him a swab for a Covid and flu test. $542, no joke. They even had him pay several hundred up front and never indicated there would be additional charges coming f though later. So first off, I came in here today because we had a bunch of friends who all had strep throat. My kid yesterday got the huge tonsils and the white stuff. Woke up with a little inflammation in my throat this morning. When checked in at urgent care in Carrollton and there were 15 people in line ahead of me. I'm sitting down filling out my paperwork on the phone and I get a call from Jessica. She says hey I'm at The care now in Louisville and we have a zero minute wait. Carrollton is a 3 1/2 hour wait would you be interested in coming here? I I said abso-freaking-lutely! Upon my arrival, I was greeted kindly paid for my visit was taken back treated super well by the medical assistant whose name I don't remember and I'm sorry. She was absolutely charming swabbed my throat for strep. She took it out. The doc came back said hey here's the case. Here's how we move forward. Here's what we're looking at . Everybody was absolutely delightful. And I was in and out of there in about 25 minutes. start to finish. I used CareNow on three occasions in the past. I found them to be okay when you have an allergy break out, but useless for anything else. The care quality: On one occasion the doctor could not figure out whether the bone was fractured or not and was asking us what we thought. You can imagine what I thought. I'm sorry but these guys have a bait and switch website on Covid Testing. I even called before filling out the forms online. I am immunocompromised and my wife is showing symptoms of Covid (she and I are both fully vaccinated). I picked a time for her at 4:00 PM (this was done at 8:30 AM in the morning). I filled out all the forms noting Medicare and our Supplemental with USAA. At 4 pm, she goes there and tell her they don't accept Medicare?? Why would they have specific instructions for Medicare? Usually heading to any type of urgent care clinic is a headache but this location made it beyond simple and streamlined the process by letting me check in online and fill out all my forms beforehand. In addition to this, the nurse that saw me was absolutely incredible and what I enjoyed in particular about this visit/location was that it seemed more like the healthcare professionals were having an actual dialogue with you versus spitting all these suggestions, medication names, and other things that don't make much sense. My fiancé had a wound on his leg that needed to be cleaned out after falling in a sink hole. The doctor literally walked around the corner to the front desk and told him "there's nothing that can be done for you here" without even looking at the wound. How can a doctor who took an oath literally turn a patient away in less than a minute. A disgrace. Don't ever go here. read more

Experience on site was fine. The professional discussing and administering the Covid nasal swab test was great. But care-later should be the name. 11 days later and my COVID-19 results haven't come back. I understand labs are swamped but friends tested same day at other urgent care also using labcorp and quest had their results 6 days ago. If by luck someone at CareNow answers their phone they don't do any research other than the same quest site you're given to find out why your results aren't in forcing you to keep self quarantining. They don't contact you, you'll have to try getting through to them. I may just try another testing facility. read more

I came here last year what I thought was an eye infection. It turned out to be shingle with blisters all over my face, and the doctor didn't know what it was. I ended up going to the ER next day and as much I walked to the exam room, the nurse simply told me it was shingle. It took a nurse to diagnose shingle but not a doctor! The sad part is that I wait to treat the shingle for too long. It should have been treated within 72 hours with anti-viral meds. But I waited too long, ending up getting a corneal lesion. I now cannot see with one eye because of the corneal scar it left behind. read more

I have a bad habit of only seeing a doctor if I'm pretty sick. I often wait until it's too bad to wait for a primary care physician and I hate going to the emergency room so I end up heading to care now anytime I'm too sick and not getting better. I live very close to this location. It has been convenient since they built this clinic. until today. today a new doctor there tried to administer an injection which I've previously had a bad reaction to, less than 2 years ago... at the same location. When I asked her to check my file and see if this was the same drug I had to be re-seen for a few years ago, she basically accused me of lying about my medical history (who knows why) and said they had no records for me there, so I left pretty upset with no resolution to my problem. later, one of the managers called me to tell me that they managed to locate my records and I did have a reaction to that injection previously and they were going to start me on a 3rd oral antibiotic instead.... they tried to give me a drug that I've previously had a bad reaction to, and they were the ones who treated me for that reaction 2 years ago, lost my records, and accused me of making up a medical history... then they blamed it on the provider being new and not knowing to look in their old software.... I dont trust them at all anymore and you shouldn't either. read more

Just left there. My son needed stitches. They told me itd be about $250-300. It ended up being $750!!!! What a sham. I would have done it myself if I knew going in it would cost that much. What a joke! Update: We might have some resolution to this fiasco. Meagan, the front office girl, has been very helpful. She is sending a note to billing to get this resolved to bring the cost down to the $300 range, where I initially thought it would be. A refund should be coming in a few weeks. On the morning of 12/8 my fiance visited this care now and the reception was extremely rude and loudly called her a "mental patient" for all in the lobby to hear and told her to see a psychologist based on the medication she takes. She sees a PCP for her meds and has for years shes never needed a psychologist. It was extremely demeaning and rude and hurt her feelings. read more

I fell at work about a year ago and went here to follow up since I was still having pain. It was a workmans comp follow up and I was originally taken to the hospital. I reviewed all the places in the area on Yelp before I decided on this one. Unfortunately I believe I wasted my time coming here. Here's why: I get here and have all my paperwork. I was told by my HR not to give them my social security number because hey didn't need it and it was strictly billed to workmans comp. Well they refused to even see me without it. So I gave in. I get in and see the doctor. Not a terribly long wait. Dr Holly McCoy comes in. I fell on the ice and hit my head a year ago at work. Since then I've been developing pain in my jaws. I tell here this and she asks why did I wait. I proceed to tell her that I'm a guy and we tend to hesitate to go to doctors. She immediately begins to tell me they since it's so long after the injury she can't tie it in to my fall. I almost had to plead with her to at least check it out. I even tell her all I'm looking for is help to fix the problem that only started the day I hit my head. Reluctantly she agrees to take an X-ray. The X-ray comes back negative and she comes back and says she can't tie my pain into the injury. Once again I plead with her that I shouldn't have to pay for something that happens at work. So she says she has to call her supervisor to see about any further tests. She comes back and says well I'm going to send you for a cat scan. The part that strikes me very suspicious is she says she wants me to come in for a follow up in one week. Yet my cat scan has to be approved through workmans comp and won't happen for at least a week. So I ask her why would I need to come in for a follow up if you don't have the test results. She insists. Let me say this doctor has the bedside manner of a politician. The whole time I'm talking to her she has the fakest smile/smirk on her face and never appeared to care about my pain for a second. The cat scan comes back negative and I get a call two days later from care now that they cannot recommend that my pain is from the injury. Here's the kicker: Carenow calls a week later and says we need to schedule a follow up. I ask why and she says the doctor needs to talk to you. Now they already denied my pain from my injury and said they can't do anything for me. So I tell this to the nurse and tell them I will not come in and allow them to bill for another appointment and pad the workmans comp claim! What a racket! read more

Went for employment drug screen testing as a requirement for a new job. Process was quick. But they screwed up labels on samples so test came back as rejected as labels didnt match at lab. Next week. Same thing happened after they assured me they just had an issue with some labels last time. I called and they apologized as they had another label issue. I called after that failure and they said sorry, wont happen again, really. Needless to say I went somewhere else for another test. This will delay my start date on new job and cost me money. Like previous reviewers, I was not extremely impressed by the LVN who took my vitals and asked the preliminary questions. However, I was impressed by Dr. Deborah Pyne, who took the time to explain everything to me, including what she was doing and why. I was happy that this clinic was open late hours; I did use web check-in and the front desk staff member called me half an hour before my appointment so I did not have to wait in the waiting room. While I was in the examining room, I was able to continue watching the movie that had been screening in the waiting room (The Lightning Thief - hahhaha. One of my favorite movies!) read more

(That's what my doctor said at least) well if I'm so sick you would think they would prescribe me an antibiotic or something right? Wrong, she told me to take some ibuprofen and DayQuil. She only tested me for strep. Nothing else. Barely paid attention when I listed my symptoms. Decided afterwards to go to a real doctor and turns out I have influenza B. I was told they were not accepting any new patients... this was 3 hours before closing and I counted 4 people in their lobby. Then they told me that I could come back on Thursday (the 6th) cause they MIGHT have space for me then. After leaving my symptoms worsened and I ended up in the ER. VETERANS, DO NOT GO HERE. I woke up with an ear infection at 4am and had to drive myself to the nearest emergency room. When I arrived they told me that they don't work with the VA but that they would bill me and I could mail my bill to the VA. This was in the beginning of June. After I got my bill and sat on hold with the VA for over an hour, I got an address of where to send my bill. Now halfway through August the hospital is calling me saying that the VA refused to pay for emergency services. I told them to call the VA and hung up. read more

Really frustrating visit today. Something I was hoping would be quick has now been more than 3 hours. I tried to check in online but the process was taking forever so I came up the location. Receptionist was nice and told me it was a 2 hour wait to see the doctor, so she would hold my place in line and I could come back. I did so, and when I came back at the time I was told, we finished the check in process. The nurse who took my vitals didn't have a bedside manner, and seemed uninterested. I get it- you have to ask the boring questions all day long. When she left, she mentioned the doctor would be right in to see me. After 30 mins, I stepped out in the hallway hoping to see someone walk by. As i stood there, i could see the "how can we improve our service?" board in their office. It said "room wait time less than 10 mins. Offer water. Check on patients. Use door timers. Help each other out." I think that's what made me upset- this has obviously been a problem, and you need a dry erase board reminder?! I finally had someone walk by. It was a doctor. He said he still had one more patient before me then he would see me. We are now going on 45 minutes in the room. No one has checked on me. Offered me water. And the door timer wasn't in use. Doctor finally came in room. Thank goodness. He was nice, considerate, and had a bedside manner. If it wasn't for the long wait, and the nurse with no bedside manner, my rating would have been higher. Doctor: 5 stars. read more

I have visited several Care Now locations and always feel that I get excellent care. They even call a day or two after, to check if you are feeling better. Dr. Herzog at the Lewisville location is one of the finest doctors you can find. I wanted him to become my primary doctor, but Care Now is not set up for that, but more for when you need to see assistance, and not sure where to go. Care Now is also the best place to go for injuries on duty and file all of the paperwork! read more

I have symptoms and have been in close contact with someone positive for covid. I have chest pain, cough and all that Jazz I did the E-checkin, listed my symptoms and everything, then got a call promptly from reception to go over things further, with me restating my close contact and symptoms. I was told they would call me in about an hour to come in. I waited 2 1/2 hours before calling them back and they said oh it's your turn. I'm not mad about that, it's a bit inconvenient. I go in, reception was great. One receptionist wore a mask and one did not. I wore my cloth mask and the mask provided to me overtop. I thought they wouldn't want to be touching my cards but they did and didn't sanitize their hands afterwards that I could see. Bit unnerving considering everything but ok. Nurse comes and gets me, no mask no PPE no anything. I go through the regular procedures, weight, temp, finger pulse ox. Get into the room and she still has no PPE, while I'm staying as far away as possible and not touching anything with 2 masks on, which makes it pretty difficult to get airflow. I restate symptoms and close contact to covid case. Still no PPE, no precautions. I'm not just waiting in the room, which is fine I know how busy it can get. I pray that when they come back in they will have some way to protect themselves. I understand there is a shortage but still, to know she came in with me and then went to another patient is very unnerving. I don't want to cause anyone to get sick. I read their protocol on the paperwork and they didn't do anything as instructed. I just want to get tested, get some relief and go home now. I feel like my symptoms are being disregarded as fake and I'm just lying, which I would never do. Please please please let your staff know to be more cautious with cases like mine. Receptionist I worked with was great though. Continuation- the doctor had full ppe and was great throughout the visit. She was very considerate throughout the visit and seemed genuinely concerned. I'm happy the visit was not terrible and turned out alright. The receptionist who was checking me out was not wearing a mask however, which I feel was also a bit careless. Great doctor, but may need to re-evaluate protocol or at least uphold protocol already in place read more
