Getting sick is definitely no fun! However, we ended up here and honestly I am so glad we came here. We had gone to another urgent care and ended up, leaving after not being attended after 15 minutes. This place however had quality of care! I absolutely loved that someone greets you upon arriving, the wait time was a little long, but honestly, every single individual was very caring very inviting very empathetic. Awful bedside manner from a PA, Cassandra today. I did give one star only because the nurse was FANTASTIC. Went in for a terrible sore throat, ear ache, headache. The PA told me to drink fluids and tried to send me on my way, let me add that she rushed me the entire time, with no-one in the waiting room. I basically had to beg for a steroid while she provided me "data" on steroids like I was a child. I usually take my family here but the customer service has not been consistent at this location lately, please reconsider a different location. I have to wonder if this is why this Care Now is never busy. read more

They are a limited facility. Cannot run blood tests, or run fluids, or basically anything other than covid and/or common colds/flus. Which is totally fine EXCEPT when the copay is $180. This is more of a $50 copay establishment because of the limited ability. read more

I have been coming to care now since June and my experience with Dr. Wirsching has been terrible ,on top of waiting , he is not helping me instead he is there telling me how I feel after I've hurt myself telling me that I should maybe find another job and also insulting the job that I do saying that my job isn't as hard because I work inside of a warehouse telling me that the amount of hours that I have to stand on my feet is not that bad, I explained to him I am still having pain and all I get is you look fine, I DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM AS A DOCTOR , highly unprofessional, looks as if he just rolled out of bed and when is in the room talking too me he is just leaning on the wall as if he would rather be somewhere else , not alert looking just a horrible , this was an experience and I will not be back to this location. read more

Beware!!!!! They took my insurance and I paid the copay when I received treatment. Then they typed my member number in wrong and when "insurance couldn't find me" they tried to charge me hundreds of dollars. When I finally got that resolved, they sent me a bill trying to charge me the copay I had ALREADY PAID. When I didn't pay the new bill they sent it to a creditor. When I called CareNow and the creditor to show them the receipts that I had already paid the copay, they then send me another bill fudging the numbers to make it look like I still owed the copay amount. EXTREMELY sketchy to send me a bill with different numbers and adjustments than what my insurance claim was and the previous bills they had sent me. I have warned many people about coming here... but something seriously needs to be done. After looking at their BBB, I see I'm not the only one something like this has happened to. Not sure how they justify Urgent care here since they do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WITH URGENCY. This place is total trash and unfortunately we have to come here for a school physical. Checked in online at 11 am. Got the call to come in at 140 pm. Here and all paperwork signed by 150 pm. As I type this it's 312 and we still haven't been seen, but we were made to pay first. Such a waste of a day and WTF is online check in for if you still wait so damn long to be seen. Will never return and highly recommend everyone go elsewhere. read more

I checked in online at 930AM and was contacted by someone from carenow at 1030AM asking what symptoms I had; after explaining I was informed that there was going to be a 5 hour wait. Working at a hospital I can understand that there a number of things can explain the long wait time. I know that if a facility is incapable of treating someone due to a more serious injury or medical emergencies they are directed down the road to the Medical City ER. Three hours past the 5 hour mark, I was finally contacted as they were (6:19PM) ready to see me. When I finally arrived I was informed that they were triaging 2 other people ahead of me so I would still have to wait "a tick." I've been in the lobby waiting for 20 minutes now writing this review so no, I would not recommend this carenow at all. Lesson learned: I'm going to primacare or minute clinic next time. read more

Two words: WEB CHECK-IN. Well, technically that was three even with the hyphen, but whatever. The point is if you need to go here then you need to do the web check-in process. Otherwise, allllllllll of the web check-in people get to go in before you which could mean epic ER length wait times for you if you're just sitting there. (I learned that on my first experience with a CareNow). I was really impressed with this location. The wait area is awesome and is always playing movies (and good ones!), there are even small televisions in each of the rooms so that you can keep watching the movie, and a volume control on the wall so you can hear it. This is amazing when you're waiting on the doctor and/or nurse to come in. They will also let you and your spouse sit in the same room and BOTH get treated AT THE SAME TIME. This is freaking amazing and such a time saver. We really liked the staff here, they were super nice, but they are expensive because they are an urgent care location. Convenient, clean, and entertainment to boot. read more

Don't get a DOT physical here. I wouldn't get anything done here. They didn't make sure my dot medical information was transmitted to TXDOT. They specifically told me there was nothing I needed to do on my end. I received a notice from the state that my cdl was downgraded. I requested for a regional manager at Care to reach out to me to help me get the issue fixed and they did not. The management team clearly doesn't "care". Fortunately for them the TXDOT is easy to work with and all I had to do is email them a copy of the medical exam to get my CDL reinstated other wise "Care" would be facing a lawsuit. read more

First thing, the two nurses were rude when we walked in. Now, my husband, daughter and I walked into the CareNow with the intent to get my sick daughter looked at. She was having a hard time breathing and an extreme runny nose with a terrible cough. Upon walking in one nurse asked what insurance we had and we said "CHAMPVA". We went off the VA's website and it said that location took that insurance. We walked out and my husband called the office again to verify that they indeed DID NOT take CHAMPVA even though the VA website said they did. The nurse who answered the phone was KORA or CORA. She told me "I know my colleague just told you we don't take that insurance so that means we don't". I let my wife back on the phone and she let her know that she was rude and disrespectful and the nurse responded with "yes I know". My child had some severe concerns and the last thing we wanted was a nurse turning us away because maybe they felt like they didn't want to work that day or at least check what insurances were accepted. I couldn't imagine turning parents away because I didn't verify information and then something tragic happen afterwards. Worst CareNow I've ever been too. Made a "web check in" appointment at 2pm for my daughters sports physical. They called and said to come in at 3pm. No problem.... It's 4:13 pm right now and we are still waiting. Very disappointing as the whole purpose of web check in is to skip the wait. I think they advertise these specials to bring people in but then don't have the staffing to accommodate.... will go somewhere else next year. Sign on the door says to check in and then wait in car. They called our name in the waiting room. We didn't answer because we were in the car. After 45 minutes we went in and checked. They were confused that we had come back since they thought that we filled out all the paperwork and then left. At no point did it occur to them that we were waiting in the car, like the 8 other people out in their cars that were heading inside once they got their text. Waiting room clean. Service was exceptional! The reason for only 4 stars is the web check in and the way patients are held in the waiting rooms. I believe a better process should be implemented, especially with covid protocols. Web check in is not working the way it should and I'm sure it's because of high volume of patients due to covid. My check in time was 11:00 am and I saw the doctor at 10:00 pm. I was in the waiting room for an hour to see the doctor. I don't think they were finishing one patient at a time, doctor was going back to other patients before finishing one. Maybe they see that as being more efficient but I don't see how it could be. I needed to be seen regarding a non-Covid matter, and all I wanted was an estimated timeframe as I had other commitments to attend to that afternoon. When the lady told me in a very snotty tone "I can't give you a time estimate, we are in the middle of a pandemic!" (as if anyone is unaware of that), I made my appointment elsewhere. This place is always insanely busy. It's on the highway and conveniently located in McKinney. I usually only have to come here because it is on the weekend or after my doctor has closed for the day. I also was mandated to come here for a workers compensation claim and that is the only time I couldn't do the web check in. If you come I would check in on the web. My wait today was 2 hours, but I was at home in my comfy bed waiting. Today I'm in for a sinus infection. Pretty standard diagnosis and the course of action was as expected. read more

The doctor was very professional. The nurse assistant was sweet. Blonde Front desk lady cared about her job and got things done. The other receptionist when I asked about my doctors note she just acted like it wasn't her problem she said well we don't right those. When I walked out of being seen. Check in at 8:30 am, told it would be two and a half hours. Showed up at 12:30 and was told there was people in front of us. Apparently web check-in means nothing to them. Was told it was going to be another four hours. Waited the four hours and showed back up, asked why it's taking so long... was asked if we wanted to be seen in a snarky attitude. Went home to wait out the rest of the four hours. Never got the call in. All we wanted was a Covid test!!! This is unexpected!!! First off, I want to thank this clinic & their staff for getting me in so quickly & taking care of me! I had a gash in my front hairline about 1 1/4in wide. I was pretty shaken up & barely able to hand over my medical card/ ID & they were able to get me straight to the back with a nurse tending to me until the Dr. came. The Dr. was very nice! Numbed the area & started cleaning my wound. He checked several times to make sure I was still numb while cleaning and stitching the wound. He did a fantastic job!! read more

Neither "Care" nor "Now" fits this deplorable excuse for a healthcare business. We started calling at 8 AM (at their DR's request) about a follow up after my wife got worse. Her 8 AM call wasn't returned, so I called at 11 to complain. I was sent to the same nurses line that didn't return our first call. I then drove there for a face to face meeting where I was told those voicemails haven't been listened to and probably won't be today. I was told my wife would have to come back in to be re-evaluated. Even though that was lie #3, I set her up to come in at 4. She got there early and was asked 4 times if she had an appointment, or if she'd been taken care of. Of course, each answer was a big fat "NO" which they were already aware of. Finally, at 6:00 PM, we left to go to another place (Legacy ER at Hardin and Eldorado). Care now doesn't "Care" about anybody, and the "Now" part is the biggest joke of all. These people are total frauds from the front desk to the physicians. Your health means nothing to them. I suggest you don't allow your money to award such fraudulent, negligent behavior. They have zero redeeming qualities, and deserve exactly that...zero. . read more

Awesome service! Called ahead and checked in and didn't wait but two mins before they were taking us to the back. Maybe 30-45mins total time there. wife ended up getting two stitches in her finger. The staff and doctor were great! We had to drive from Sherman bc that location was about to close (10mins) and told us to go to ER. This location stays open longer and apparently cares.
