I came to CareNow after suffering with major breathing issues related to asthma that was exacerbated by the unusually really pollen season due to the warm winter we've had. This was one of the best urgent care experience I've had in a while. The front desk people were polite and I doubt I waited more than 5 minutes before being brought back to see someone. The nurse taking vitals was friendly and the nurse practitioner who I eventually was also friendly and gave a thorough assessment too. She made sure I understood the treatment she prescribed too. Now, only a couple of hours later, I'm breathing better than I've been in over the past two weeks! I'm definitely coming back here for any future urgent care needs! read more

I received no clear explanation of my diagnosis. I had to follow NP Chamea Campbell to the hall for clarification. She got defensive. She originally told me I had allergies, which didn't make sense since I had fever for 3 days. I asked her in the hallway to clarify how that's possible. She then told me I have a viral infection. I asked if the two are related. She in return responded with the same answer. "You have a viral infection" This NP took 2 minutes with me. Only thing she did for me was prescribe cough medicine when I don't even have a serious cough, which I told her about. I went into this location a couple days ago due to an allergic reaction on my face. They completely took care of me, and issued me an allergic reaction medication that is able to treat my skin. The office ladies were nice and communicated how long it would take since I came in during a busy hour. They were great overall! read more

I had picked up my son at his work ; they called me to say he had severe abdominal pain. Did he have appendicitis? What about a bowel obstruction, a volvulus or something else? He was lying down in a pool of water because the pain was so bad & he was sweating from pain. I had looked for an urgent care on his insurance & even checked in from my phone before I drove him there. I pushed him through the automated door with their wheelchair & filled out all the forms & paid the $75 copay fee. I was stressed. My mind frenetically raced. I didn't time it but the son was seen by Dr. Michael fairly quickly. I got the names of everyone - Armani, Cynthia, and Timory who took care of him & contributed to his care. They all made a daunting situation terrific & eased my concerns. It ended up with him having surgery later. I feel like once u have a health problem, it's chronic half the time. Although this CareNow location accepts walk-ins, I highly recommend making your appointment online to significantly reduce your wait time. I scheduled online, uploaded my documents, and was able to track my place in line through ClockwiseMD. I received a text estimating my appointment time was 10:28AM, but the ClockwiseMD webpage kept updating and showed my appointment time would be at 10:52AM. I would suggest using the original text wait time because I received a text at 10:20AM that I was ready to be checked in. I arrived at 10:32AM and was seen at 11:20AM. I appreciated being able to see live updates through Clockwise MD instead of sitting there wondering when I'd be called back. It was really busy so I can see why my wait time was pushed back. Shalee was my medical assistant! She was very kind and professional. She took my vitals and explained everything to me clearly. I waited only a short time for Dr. Selena to come in and explain my results. She was friendly, thorough, and made me feel comfortable to ask any questions. The front desk staff (Armani, Chris, and a trainee) handled everything efficiently during what looked like a busy shift. While they weren't overly warm, they were polite and professional. my daughter went in because she was throwing up. they prescribed miralax saying it was probably constipation making her throw up.... she ended up having a stomach bug . did they get their degree from chatgpt ? why would they prescribe miralax while someone is actively not keeping food down. Woke up, felt sick. Checked in for sickness online. Showed up at the time it told me. Waiting room had less than 5 people... Over 30 minute wait in the waiting room. Then another 40 ish minutes to get my blood pressure checked. Then another 30 minutes to see the doctor to be told we need more tests. Now have waited another 30 minutes... Over 2 hours and I'm not even out of here.... No point of even checking in online... I'll really reconsider coming back if the 2-3 hours wait is worth it. read more

I went to check in as a walk in which usually means a wait which I already had in mind . The lady upfront said I think we are capacity amd told me one is on the other side of town . Went 2x for acute sickness (first at their College Dr. location, second at this one). They refused to order bloodwork even though all swab tests were negative. Dr. Hao Luong was dismissive of concerns. They were running additional swab tests (3 different ones) sent to a lab, and they called me today to provide results. The assistant who called said "your swab was negative." Which one? There were three. She had to review the records again and stated all three were negative. She didn't sound certain and I'm left with unease about these results! So, in the end, the doctor was never able to provide a reason for the sudden onset of sickness, perhaps because she didn't bother to order further testing. Ended up going to a primary care provider who ordered many labs. CareNow advertises onsite bloodwork--this was not true in my case. The medical assistant/nurse advised that bloodwork is the provider's discretion. I'm appalled that Dr. Luong did not see the need for bloodwork. Hitting 103.5 degree fever for a week is concerning, especially when no cause is known. If you want to be reminded of the abysmal state of American, and especially Nevadan healthcare, by all means go to CareNow! read more

Visited the urgent care on May 1 having difficulty breathing and spitting up blood. Checked in late afternoon and was immediately ushered back to exam room. After evaluation was given a Nebulizer breathing treatment and steroid shot. They took chest x ray and determined left lower lob infiltrate ( Walking Pneumonia). What's the point of allowing online appointments if you still have to wait 2 hours to be seen?

The staff is very friendly - the wait times are not. Pro Tip: You can check in early at carenow.com but remember to do it at least an hour or 2 before you arrive. I found out today that you can check in online and then they will call you 30-45 minutes before you should be here. This will give you some time to stay home and relax before having to wait in the cold corporate waiting room of the urgent care. I checked in when I got here today at 3 and was called to be seen at 5:30. I will definitely remember this for next time. The facility is very clean minus the floors and water fountain. While I was pouring my water I noticed the spout is brown and looks like it has never been cleaned or replaced. I threw out my water. The floors feel like there's a layer of dust on them, as though they haven't been cleaned in weeks. But you can see in the pictures that the rooms of the facility is very clean and though I didn't get a picture, I can attest that the bathroom and waiting room is as well. They always play a movie for the kids, and some of us adults, to ease the waiting. This makes bringing children at least a little easier, though their patience lasts only so long... As I mentioned - the staff is very kind and lovely. They're why I come back. (Well, that and proximity.) It would be 4 stars if the water fountain wasn't disgusting. *update: I changed my review to 4 stars because despite the water fountain (which can be avoided) the doctors are really amazing and kind. read more

I originally tried to get my mom a virtual visit but they said she'd need to come in to give a urine sample (UTI). They were SO sweet and thorough on the phone and made sure we were all set up to be seen in person. We arrived in person and it was clean... and big to give wheelchair space. We were seen almost immediately and the girl that took the vitals and intake was amazing! Doctor Michael Wilson, is who helped my mom. Oh my goodness is he just PERFECT! Soft spoken, gentle, sweet, caring, and full of knowledge. He is patient and so ready to share his thoughts about the best course of action. 10/10 experience. I finally gave in and decided to visit urgent care. The process to put me on the waitlist was easy. All I did was select that I'd want to be placed on a waitlist after 11 am and notify them how long it would take me to drive to their location. Then I filled out all the paperwork on my mobile device. Note, it is a weekday and their weekend was filled quickly because I attempted to get on the waitlist on Saturday, but they had no more availability. Sure enough at 11 am, I received a text message that they were ready for me to check-in. Check-in went smoothly and my wait time wasn't too bad. My appointment was really quick, but the doctor was still informative. I received physical prescriptions and was able to bring them to my pharmacy of choice. I guess I'll report back to let you all know if I was properly diagnosed :) but I do know the medication I started today made a difference. So once again, for anyone considering a visit: Attempt to get on their waitlist instead of walking in to save your sanity and wait in the comfort of your own home. Do not give them your bank card. On August 10, I went to urgent care because my Primary Doctor was closed. I spoke with reception several times prior to seeing a Doctor to ensure I would not receive an unexpected bill. She entered my insurance information and assured me twice that I would not receive a bill and that nothing was due to be collected for the visit. They took my debit card and showed me their policy, which states that in the event a balance is due, I would receive an email notification 10 days prior to withdraw in order to address it. I did not receive an email from them apart from the August 10th appointment confirmation. They could not provide documentation that they sent me one. I received a bill by mail that said I owed $126 with a due date of September 23rd. September 6 returned to urgent care office and a different receptionist confirmed that I should not have received a bill. She said my balance to be collected at the appointment was $0 but suggested it was an insurance issue. She said I must call billing department Monday morning to correct it, as once it leaves their office, it's out of their hands. Monday morning, September 9th I got a notification my account was already withdrawn, well before the stated due date. I called billing and the representative told me the office must handle it as they could not refund or stop a payment on their end. I went back to the office and spoke with two receptionists and a manager. The manager apologized and told me I should have been told to pay $100 up front. Apologized several more times and stated she would retrain the receptionists and talk to them but that she could not reverse the bill. Misrepresentation and zero accountability. Last, the medical services were also an issue. After my appointment a nurse came in and handed me discharge paperwork. I asked her if I had the diagnosis I had suggested and been tested for. She said no. Doctor didn't come in and I left. Looked at discharge papers in the car that clearly stated I DID have that diagnosis. Confused by the miscommunication of nurse telling me I didn't, I walked right back into the office and had to wait forever for the Doctor just to come back and even tell me the diagnosis. read more

There is no compassion for the patients by the receptionist. Told you can only be seen for one health reason, and just ignored the fact my wife was limping. Second couple comes and the woman has a broken arm, and the receptionist says to upload ID online, this woman was struggling and said it will be difficult but I guess she has to find a way. Without offering solutions, the receptionist dismisses healthcare concerns and treats you as if you were at the DMV. I wouldn't trust this place to treat my family or friends. read more

Unfortunately, I can only give 3 stars for the clinic, due to MONIQUE'S poor attitude and unfriendliness. As someone who is checking in patients, she should have a better attitude! I called the clinic with questions before I arrived for my appointment, and because I hadn't received my new medical cards yet, she said that I still needed to complete the registration and put it as self-pay. Well, she didn't tell me that over the phone, which is something that I had called out. From then on, all I got was an attitude from her, eyes being rolled and dirty looks. She's extremely unprofessional, and should not be working in the front checking in patients if that's the type of attitude she wants to have. Obviously people are coming to urgent care because they're not feeling well, so the last thing they need is an attitude from the staff. I hope she sees this review, so she can go enroll herself in an empathy class, but my recommendation would be to fire her! I cut my hand, and they took me right away. I felt like my pain was an inconvenience to the Nurse practitioner. I wasn't going wild I was just in pain i was wincing. She said "calm down" "sit up straight" "dont slip out of the chair" "I didn't even touch you yet" " you shouldn't have any pain, it's numb" "you're dramatic" I'm 58 years old I've had a lot of different procedures done medically and I have never had any doctor or nurse practitioner talk to me like that, or treat me like I'm acting over the top. The others giving poor rating to this clinic are correct - even when waiting online the system will tell you to come in 'now' and you still have to wait. I asked why the system told me to come in, the 'child' - she couldn't have been older than 19, gave me some stupid excuse. Why hire someone to a front desk medical position that has no empathy. I'm not here because I feel well. Waited 40 minutes and then was escorted to see a nurse practitioner who said that I needed a chest X-ray but the one X-ray tech they had is for all branches and I'd have to wait an hour. She immediately told me that why are not accepting anymore patients because they close in 40 mins. Monique did not even glance at my son yet assess him or ask a reason for the visit. I ignored the negative reviews and had to come to this location this past Saturday after my fiancé and I suspected our daughter had a ear infection, her local pediatrician office was closed for the weekend. I made a appointment as soon as I got out of work and not even five minutes later they said I was checked it so we drove to the clinic. The positive about this place is that you can submit your insurance information online and is really quick! My copay, thanks to my fiancés job insurance, was only $25. We arrived and the front desk nurse was great. Waiting in the reception wasn't long so we waited for 15 mins, once we were in our room waiting for the doctor he arrived within 10 mins (a nurse also came in to take my daughter's oxygen and other small information, she was super sweet to my daughter). Our doctor (older gentleman, can't remember his name) was really patient with my daughter (who is very shy to new strangers) and made her feel comfortable, he confirmed our suspicions and she indeed had a ear infection. As soon as he finished answering any questions I had we went on our way to our local pharmacy before they closed. I was really happy overall, my fiancé as well. It's unfortunate others had bad experiences here, but I can't say the same in the times I've been here. I definitely keep on coming back. read more

UNQUALIFIED, HEARTLESS DOC and SLLLOOOOWWW! Sports physical is all we came for... WHAT A JOKE! I filled the papers out, as I have 17 other times for my girls who have played multiple sports for over a decade. We waited over 3 hours... for a 10 min sports physical. The front desk lady was very sweet, and she's the reason this place got a star at all! But it took forever for us to get called. Once called back, the nurse assistant took her vitals and then left the room (as normal) but then it was another 20 min before we saw the PA. She was not friendly when she entered the room and seemed annoyed that my daughter and I were being silly. She went through the paperwork, did all the physical elements with my daughter- passed them all without a problem. Then the PA said she couldn't sign off for my daughter to be eligible to play because I wrote on the form that my daughter had "genetically low BP". It's not a problem and she's played sports her entire life AND been signed off on her sports physical every season for volleyball, basketball and track. In shock, I said, you took her BP. It's not dangerously low, (104/78). It's not even low enough for a doc to treat it with meds. The doc said the BP was fine but because I mentioned she has low BP on the form, she won't sign off since she doesn't know her medical history. There is no medically history - her BP is just low. There is no medical treatment for it and her doc says she's fine. We went to urgent care because her pediatrician couldn't get her in fast enough to turn it in for school. So we waited at this urgent care for a PA to say we had to go to her pediatrician... WHAAATTT??? Then she said if I had LIED and not mentioned her low BP on the form, she would have signed off on her. Whaaaatttt, you just told my teenager to lie on her medical forms so she could get it signed off?? I was livid by this point and the doc lost all small ounces of credibility she had... she said they don't have medical records so she can't sign off... again, whaaaatttt??? Of course you don't have medical records- of ANYONE, you're an urgent care! Good grief, my daughter plays 3 sports a year and has for so many years I've lost count- I am telling the doc she has ALWAYS played with the same BP... no doc tells her she can't play or I wouldn't have brought her to a urgent care for her physical. It was supposed to be in and out... yeah right! This PA- Crystal Ryder is an absolute joke! Not an ounce of kindness in her soul... and ZERO common sense. We walked our, wasted $25 and nearly 4 hours! Pro Tip: make the forms generic, make sure you document nothing and they will sign your physical! Unbelievable! Average care. Pleasant staff. Suggest you only go here for Covid or the flu. I took a bad fall and needed x-rays and pain meds. Their website advertised that they have an x-ray machine but once there, I found out the technician is a roving technician so I had to wait until she showed up. Then I was told they are only allowed to do two x-rays (my foot and my knee), so they could not do my back. I was diagnosed at first with soft tissue damage, but a follow up call asked me to return because upon further review of my x-ray, it was determined I had a fracture of the patella. I was given a copy of both x-rays, but unfortunately the orthopedic surgeon I saw afterward could not open the x-ray desk I was told they are not allowed to dispense pain meds.
