Cheese burger at the old folks home. Surprisingly decent and at a great price! ($5 for entree, side, and soup)
Shamus F.

I'm a medical transport driver and I was curious how the food was here so one day I asked if I could try some and they charged me $5 to have lunch here. The first course was a lovely vegetable soup with big hearty chunks of veggies. Needed a little salt but was quite good after that. Then it came with a cheese burger and fries. The fries could've been crispier (they are baked, not fried) but the burger was good. You could taste the meat and the cheese, the pickles were thick and crunchy, and the bun was fresh. Only complaint is that it would've been better with some thick cut bacon in it. Also came with unlimited drinks, I chose apple juice.

This is her bed uneven it's like a ambulance bed minus wheels and missing parts, thin mattress and crappy pillow

Please do not send your love ones there for therapy, it's dirty they have uncaring nurses. Some nurses don't sterilize their hands before and after entering. I can first hand tell you it's not CareOne it's CareZero! Physical therapy personnel are great. Nursing staff most are ignoranot, maybe they don't like their job THEN LEAVE.

I had a very unprofessional and frustrating experience at New Hope Integrated Behavioral Health…read moreCare during a recent employment interview process. My interview was scheduled for 2:00 PM, and I was on time. When I arrived and asked the receptionist at the front desk to remind me of the names of the interviewers (as I had forgotten), the receptionist laughed and made mocking remarks about it, which was highly disrespectful and inappropriate. Then I was made to fill out a stack of paperwork that I had already completed as part of the application procedure online. It was a complete waste of time and reflected poorly on the lack of respect for the applicant's time or coordination. Next, I was left waiting for over an hour -- I wasn't called in for the interview proper until somewhere around 3:15 PM. No apology or excuse for the delay existed. The interview, when it finally began, was chilly and impersonal. The interviewer was not particularly interested or well-prepared, and the whole experience was a chore rather than a discussion. It was awkward and disagreeable, so much so that it seemed like trying to pull teeth to have conversation. At the end of it, I was told that I would be contacted within a couple of days for a follow-up. That phone call never came. No follow-up, no thank-you e-mail -- nothing. Nothing but silence. This entire process was unprofessional, chaotic, and frankly disrespectful to candidates who take the time and effort to present themselves well prepared. If this is how they treat prospective staff, it says a lot for their skills at managing internal operations. I expected a lot better from an organization operating in the field of behavioral health.

Alvita Care - Alvita Care is ready to provide care in New Jersey

I waited a month after my mother's passing to write this review so I could have some distance and…read moreperspective from the events. I contracted with Alvita to care for my mother during the last two months of her life after she was injured in a fall. I paid for 24 hour home care seven days a week. Other than Fabienne, I found the caregivers sorely lacking in the most basic of qualities such as companionship and emotional support. Also, other than Fabienne, the one on one care for which they were hired (toileting, hygiene assistance, dressing, grooming, feeding, etc) was mostly delegated by them to the staff at the assisted living facility where my mother resided, which negated the whole point of hiring them in the first place. Chronic lateness was also the norm. Most arrived 10-20 minutes late for the start of the night shift The night shift crew was especially problematic. In addition to generally not performing the basic tasks for which they were hired ("it's not my job" was the common refrain, even though it literally was their job), they often did not even stay in the same room as my mother who was a fall risk. Some slept on the sofa in the living room during the night shift, some spent the night shift doing schoolwork in a separate room, and some spent hours of the night shift on their phone in the hallway outside of the apartment. The complaints became so numerous from the staff at the assisted living facility and from the hospice nurses that I eventually had to change agencies for the night shift. Three of the low points during the Alvita night shift require special mention. (1) There was the night that my mother sat in her own feces for the entirety of the night. When Hospice arrived in the morning, the waste was dry and hard and had been there all night, despite a 12 hour Alvita shift. (2) Many nights, my mother was put to bed at 7 PM for convenience sake without any social interaction or kindness on the part of the aide. (3) My mother suffered a skin tear on her arm the night after I complained about the aides sleeping on the job. I was told that she injured herself, but there are no witnesses other than the Alvita aide involved. On the opposite end of the spectrum is Fabienne. She was the primary Alvita daytime aide for my mother. Fabienne went above and beyond the call of duty. She exuded kindness and compassion. She took the utmost care of my mother and treated her with dignity and respect. When Fabienne was on the job, the staff at the assisted living facility and the hospice staff took a break because everyone knew that she had everything under control. This is the level of care advertised by Alvita and the level of care that I paid for, but only Fabienne met the mark. Not only did she meet expectations, but she blew everyone away with her level of care.
