Despite my earlier review where I praised the care I received on Christmas Eve Day, I now find that their billing department is impossible to reach. I have called daily for several days and no matter what time of day, I hear a recording telling me to call back during regular business hours. Unfortunately the recording does not explain what the regular business hours are. When I try to use the "Other" option on their recording system I am told to call back in 30 minutes because no agents are available. My next step will be to complain to the Medicare complaint number . read more

Everything you read below is true. Every time long wait - the front desk is beyond rude - I went there yesterday just to get a strep test had an appointment at 3pm - they sent me the reminder text your appointment is upcoming in 15 minutes so I got in the car drove there and when I got there, they were CLOSED - note on the window said sorry had to close it. 245 - so nobody sent a text saying don't come and no one picked up the phone to call to say don't come. It's just they don't care about people there at all ---I should've learned my lesson from the last time. I was there at the height of Covid season during the winter and despite having an appointment (not being a walk-in ) I waited 40 minutes and then got up and asked politely how much longer and I was told they'd be about another half hour probably away :(. so OK I'm all right with the wait because I know there are many sick people and so and I said to the woman my car is parked right here in the parking lot directly across from the front door and I pointed to it. You could see it through the big glass door/ window and I said I don't want to sit in the waiting room. I prefer to wait in my car if they call me, can you just wave through the window and I'll be watching and see you and I'll come right in and the woman, who was literally sitting READING A BOOK while doing her job at the front desk told me she was too busy to wave for me to come in and if I missed my turn, I would go to the end of the list and have to wait again. What????? I had already sat for 40 minutes and I wasn't feeling well and there was some pretty sick people around me. I was OK with waiting. Just wanted to wait in the privacy of my car and I made that clear to her that I had already been waiting well over a half an hour from my appointment and that I was OK with waiting could she just waved to me? I couldn't believe she refused. So then yesterday, pulling up and finding they were closed and never alerted me either by text or phone and they had plenty of time to do so. Just don't. $200 visit for absolutely nothing. Didn't even see a medical professional. I injured myself working out. I needed an x-ray to determine if anything is broken. Their website say they can do x-rays. When I came in the front desk said, you'll need an x-ray. When I got back (and had paid) there they lady told me the couldn't do an x-ray, (the machine was down or something) and they could do nothing for me. The pseudo medical assistant (and that is pushing it) then acted like I was some addict seeking pain meds, even though I EXPLICITLY told her I did not, and told me I needed to go to a pain management specialist. When the result for a "5 minute rapid test" takes an hour to get back, while you're stuck sitting in a room by yourself, that's a problem. Front desk staff is miserable. Clearly hates their job. We only go here because it's close to home, but no more. We'll drive the extra 10 minutes down Rt 3 to be seen in a better facility next time. read more

Well, a pervasive earache that woke me up needed someone ANYONE to peek in the ok' canal and tell me what's up. After an effective but short lived remedy from a teledoc visit, I had to see if there was something that couldn't be described. To Carewell! I knew the appointment booking was easy, but I feared the misleading lobby wait. Pleased to see I was ushered to exam room immediately. BUT THEN THE CURSED WAIT BEGAN! An hour until I saw a PA, and another 30 before the physician popped in. He was nice, gave me a quick exam, and gave me a scrip. But seriously, why have the infrastructure in place to book appointments when whatever triage has you waiting almost 90 minutes before being seen? It harkens back to a forgone time of the dreaded lobby wait before, yknow, we modernized the process. Again, the people are nice but there's no sense of urgency. So, I ended up buying a video otoscope for $60 while I waited, and if my ear acts up again, I now have the tool needed to share clear pics with a teledoc, and one less reason to kill a few hours watching HGTV in a clinic. read more

I came in after testing multiple times negative for Covid, but felt sick. I asked very simply what the wait time was, which seemed like a reasonable question considering there are other clinics close by. The attendant at the front desk demanded I sign documents just to get an APPROXIMATE wait time. Understaffed. Not pleasant. Also, they collect information like ethnic, racial information that is categorically unnecessary, especially for just scheduling an appointment. Convenient MD, down the street, both give me an accurate estimate WITHOUT giving away pages of personal info and had me booked within minutes. Covid19 Testing steps - so critical, pay attention. They test at 8am and 3pm, arrive 30 min early 1) they set up a white sandwich board outside with instructions - GO THE THE BOARD AND PHOTOGRAPH THE QR CODE, this will bring you to a patient registration site. Fill out your registration. 2) Once registered, go inside to pay. Do NOT wait to be called, etc. many times there's a long line it's because folks don't know to go in. You will be asked if you want your results brought to your car (park at Taco Bell if lot is fu) or put in the web portal registration you created. If you need a paper confirmation you need to wait for results. 3) Once you have paid ($160), you are given a receipt and sticker and you go around back for for your swab. After they swab you, your results will either be emailed to the portal or they'll bring it to your car. It can be about 3 hours start to finish because there are no clear instructions and everyone is too shy to ask. read more

Wish I'd checked reviews. I assumed school would make my child get a COVID test after spiking a fever. Apparently a test isn't required if there's no fever next day. No biggie, I was trying to do the right thing. Plus I made the appointment the night before so I didn't known the fever wouldn't last into the next day. When I explained why I made the appointment to the nurse, she got flustered and left to talk to the doctor. Okay, I'm a rule follower so let's double check to see if a test is even needed. She goes outside the door and starts explaining the situation to him. But in her version, I am very dumb. I know this because I hear every word she says through the thin doors. I listen as she changes her voice to mimic mine. Except it's not quite what I said and definitely not how I spoke. Plus, I don't have a Bronx accent. And why is it taking 30 seconds to recount a 5 second conversation? Very dramatic storytelling, A+ for entertainment. Then the doctor (? maybe?) comes in to tell me they wouldn't test in this scenario. Okay, no problem, sounds good, thanks for letting me know, bye, etc. If you're wondering if she then ran out to chainsmoke in the parking lot while staring me and my 10 year old down as we left, she did. To be clear, this is a woman well into her 60s or 70s, so I wasn't scared or anything, but it definitely was one of the most bizarre healthcare experiences I've had. After listening to their COVID-19 information over the phone in its entirety (which mentions "Please remember to be kind" about 5 times) I called the 800 number to make an appointment. I waited for 9 minutes as the phone rang only for someone to pick it up and hang up. I called back to try to get connected again. This time a woman answers with a very RUDE tone and I asked to schedule an appointment for a COVID test. She replied," right now we're taking names and telephone numbers" and nothing else. I paused and waited for the end of the sentence, maybe expecting for a "and we'll call you back to schedule" but nothing. I must've paused too long because the woman hung up the phone. I understand that health providers are under immense stress right now but if you make it a point to say "remember to be kind" then the staff should also heed that advice. read more

Their COVID-19 procedures seem designed to maximize rather than minimize contact among patients. They are not accepting appointments, only walk-ins at this point, so we had to wait in a half hour line to check in. There was no separate path for entering and exiting or markings on the ground to redirect the line, so those leaving the building had to walk very close past those waiting in line inside the building. We got to the front and were given a slip of paper with the address of a website so we could register on our phones and were told to get back in line to pay once we'd registered. Why on earth would they not post a sign with the address and QR code outside their door telling people that now that they arrived they could register on their phones before coming in? Registered without a problem, got back in the line for another half hour to pay, again with all the close contact between people entering and people leaving. There's no distanced payment option. You can't swipe your own card or pay online. They need your ID for COVID-testing, but again there's no option for them to take a picture of it without handling it and getting it all over everything and handing it back. There's handsanitizer back at the entrance, but no wipes or anything at the desk. Also, there are no plexiglass shields at the desk. CareWell, you need to take better care of your employees than this! If every local retailer can figure this out and implement it, a healthcare chain should be able to as well. The younger receptionist was painfully slow and rude. Yelled at people behind me in line that they were backlogged and so wouldn't be doing any more COVID-19 tests that day after mine. At that point it was about 2:30 in the afternoon and they were open until 8:00. I got my test result a little after 4:00. The waiting and testing was conducted in the parking lot so it was obvious that they did resume testing later in the afternoon, so those people behind me in line were sent away without being tested for no reason, rather than them having the option to choose a long wait rather than not being tested. While we're all figuring out many new things related to the pandemic, this isn't brand new. CareWell has been testing for months and other businesses have figured out much better social distancing procedures. The nurse who actually delivered the test and results was efficient, considerate, and communicated well what to expect. read more

Hour and a half wait standing in line with no controls / enforcement of masks and social distancing JUST to register. Hour and a half wait for the test followed by hour and half to get results. I head from others in line that the wait can be up to 8 hours start to finish. Even worse the test given is the LEAST accurate available and was poorly administered. CDC guidelines say sample both nostrils for 10-15 seconds. I got a quick swab up and right back out of one nostril. At $160 out of pocket this is nothing more than a scam. read more

Was there at 8 AM. And had an 8:10 appointment. Was quickly shown to a room. The assistant did vitals check. Then doctor came in and very quickly sorted out my issues. She recommended a number of items to be picked up at pharmacy. When I got home I immediately began using all medicine and felt nearly instant relief. What I liked is her three pronged approach. Took my type1 diabetic daughter in about 15 minutes before closing because she was peeing blood (kidney function is an area of concern for t1d). they refused her because they weren't taking any more patients, even though they were still open. Maybe because they can't go over hours? I was very upset and the response was to threaten to call the police because I expressed my frustration. There was no sympathy, empathy, understanding, conversation, or anything human. I know I was upset and lashing out but literally no one there made me feel like they *cared* at all. Moms get upset when their kids are hurting! They just said go to the ER and if you don't we'll call the cops. Just awful. CareWell, if you are NOT open until 8, don't say you are, no big deal. Thanks to that, my daughter is about an hour behind in treatment. Every person in that office was belligerent, unhelpful, unsympathetic, and generally the worst. This is how you treat children? And their terrified mothers? Treat them like criminals? I hope your profits are worth this pain, both the corporation and the people in that office. I stopped here while traveling on business. I had a major case of poison ivy (which I already knew) from gardening in our woodsy woodsy yard the week before. But when I arrived in Rockland, I found what I believe was a tick on my leg. I dug it out of my skin and saw another on my ankle, which I was unable to get to because it was buried so deep. Both wounds were hard, hot, and rashy. I went to Carewell the next morning. The receptionist and the nurse were great. The wait wasn't long. All good. Unfortunately, the doctor WOULD NOT LET ME SPEAK. She walked in and said "That's poison ivy." I attempted to explain my concerns about the ticks. She looked at my ankle for about 2 seconds and said "That's a scab." I attempted to explain that I had soaked the wound the night before, cleared all the dried blood away, and saw a black, foreign body buried in my leg. I also wanted to tell her that I slathered the wound in Neosporin overnight, so yes, it did appear somewhat more "scabby" in the morning. I was unable to say any of this, though, because the doctor kept cutting me off, saying it was a scab. She also insinuated that what I had removed the night before was a scab. I'm 43 years old. I know what a scab is. And I also know that I don't need to yank hard on tweezers to remove a scab. I asked her to look at my ankle again, under a light with a magnifying glass. She said "That's what I just did. See that? That's a magnifying glass." I finally had to say "I don't mean to insult your intelligence, but hypothetically speaking, if this were a tick in my leg, what would happen now?" She answered, "If it were a tick, which it's not, because it's a scab ..." Come the fuck on, lady. However, I was running a small fever (which I was surprised to find out), so she ended up putting me on the treatment for Lyme disease. I don't live around here, but you can bet that I would not be returning to see Dr. Jaquelyn Lamb. I don't go to the doctor to argue and be treated like an idiot. I had to rearrange two client appointments to go to this place ... it's not like I WANTED to go in and have a problem. I didn't want to go and spend the time and the money. I wanted very much to blow all of this off. So to be treated like a hypochondriac was pretty annoying. Hey, Dr. Lamb: If you're going to work in the world of retail medicine, remember that patients have no loyalty to an urgent care clinic. I went in for a wellness check for a job. I came into the office at 6:45 and wasn't seen until 7:30. I was walked into an exam room and was told someone would be right with me. When the women came in I asked if I could use the bathroom. She showed me where it was. When I come back to the room she then tells me that the physical would include a urine test! Over the course of a long holiday weekend, I sprained my finger really bad. I wasn't going to be the one that went to the ER for a measly sprained finger, so when I heard of CareWell and realized I didn't need a referral through my HMO, it was a no-brainer. The facility is easy to get to and there is a small waiting room to keep you pacified. The paperwork aspect is a bit of a hassle. There's a ton of medical history forms and an obscene amount of financial forms you have to fill out. Even if you have insurance, you must have a credit card on file. Regardless, it's the world we live in these days. The wait was definitely the worst part. It was about an hour. At one point, I contemplated running across the parking lot to Taco Bell. So when I finally got seen, the nurse who did the basic triage was super friendly and nice. It took about half hour to see the actual doctor, but he apologized profusely for the wait and ran a few tests on my finger. It wasn't broken, just a severe sprain. He prescribed some anti-inflammatory medicine and sent me on the way. Sure enough, in 36 hours, I was feeling MUCH better. There was no insurance paperwork to follow up with in the following days and I was satisfied with my care. The wait was the worst part, but ERs can be much worse! read more

My daughter and I were exposed to Covid. My daughter was not feeling well at all but does have autism, so she can be slightly difficult to deal with at times. Nurse Kristen (who I thought was the doctor) was extremely polite, professional, and exceptional with my daughter, made this visit less stressful. She was amazing. Our last visit here did not go that well. But Kristen changed our mind, and we will be back if need be. My daughter still waves to Kristen when we drive by the facility. She deserves the recognition and as a parent I greatly appreciated her that day. We need more Kristen's in healthcare. Thank you again! read more

I brought my girlfriend to urgent care as she was in severe pain from her headache. As we get there we wait about 40 minutes for her to be called in. An hour goes by and I've seen several people leave, including those who came in after us, meanwhile my girlfriend has yet to be seen.. 99% sure she's the only patient crying from the pain she's in yet they throw her to the back burner while they clear out their waiting room. You're 10x better off going to the hospital and just footing the bill than to deal with this. And to top it off, after the extremely long wait they only gave her one dosage and told her to go see your normal doctor. Looking forward to another wait tomorrow!! P.S. I would give half a star if I could. I arrived at this facility has 7 o'clock Saturday night with my two adult children who have special needs. The initial interaction with the Receptionist wasn't a positive one. I stated that my sick daughter needed to be seen to rule out a sinus infection. (As she masked and coughed a lot) I explained I needed a referral with her Insurance but I understood I had no way to get one on a Saturday evening so that I was willing to pay cash. After spending approximately 15 minutes entering ALL her personal information on an iPad I returned it to the Receptionist. She brought it in the back where I could hear a conversation but not what was being said. She returned saying she couldn't be seen AT ALL because paying cash would be fraud! What?? That's a new one on me! I was told I'd need to bring her to the ED. Being a Nurse this went against everything I know about healthcare. Sinus infections DO NOT belong in an ED! What was I to do? My daughter was scheduled to return to her program the next day. The next morning I called the Braintree Urgent Care where I have been myself a number of times. I explained what I was told the night before and the person I was speaking to began to laugh saying 'fraud'? That's ridiculous'! I agree!! This was a new one to the people in Braintree too. I thank Braintree for seeing my daughter that day, diagnosing her with a double ear infection and bronchitis. She was prescribed an antibiotic, inhaler and a spacer to return with I'd stay away from this Norwell facility unless you have no other options!! Deceptive practices. They recently had to pay out 2 million dollars for false claims and it doesn't surprise me. They are charging asymptomatic people a fortune for rapid ANTIGEN tests (not PCR, which is what is recommended by Dept of Public Health). And if you have symptoms they have you wait hours before being seen by an EMT to get a swab (which barely touches your nose so I doubt the sample is very good). Then you wait again to see a PA. This whole process was very sketchy. DPH is aware of their practices and their reputation is not good. I would advise going to Stop the Spread website to find other testing locations. You may need to wait a day or two for results but the peace of mind you get from a more accurate result is absolutely worth it. read more

Got here at 11:20am (came at 7:30 am but the line was 20 people deep so decided to try later. There were only 4 people in line so thought it would be fine. Horrible communication regarding how long it would take (even a rough estimate). I got swabbed 5 1/2 HOURS LATER at 5pm. Literally starving because I didn't bring food with me. Be prepared to be here a majority of the day. Attitudes at the front desk weren't great either. Also not the safest place to be during covid. They gave me a tablet that wasn't sanitized, people who swabbed just took the qtip out of the room not in anything, didn't sanitize the desk in between patients even though every single one was there for a covid test. If I don't get covid from being here it'll be a miracle. THEY HAVE EVERYONE WHO IS SYMPTOMATIC GO INSIDE.... like isn't that the opposite of safe? I was negative but was inside waiting with multiple people who were positive (overheard their results) Could hear the docs talking outside about the high fevers of people in the next room, then coming to my room is nerve racking. The unprofessional nature of everyone involved except for the final doctor is very unsettling. Cant even believe what an awful experience all around this was. What a s*** show. Heard someone say she googled something about antibodies while on the phone because she didn't know. I spent 6 HOURS 45 MINS HERE bring food. read more

Every single time the test has come back contaminated and not readable. They've charged me $200 for this test with no results. And I have wasted over three weeks. I got lousy care and was treated worse the next day. They used dermabond on the wound and it failed. Of course they needed another co pay to fix their mistake from the previous night. Don't go there, patients were being turned away at 7:30 even though they are open until 8. You get better care elsewhere. read more

Came in with my three young kids today. Kids were all quiet and well behaved. I had a feeling something was off when I entered. Both women at the desk were immediately cold toward me. They then told me my kids were not allowed to go in with me and had to stay in the waiting room. I said I can't leave two four year olds and a two year old by themselves in a lobby. I said they will be quiet. Or maybe they can sit in an adjacent room? They said no, the rooms are for patients. I said I'm the only one here! At this point they started getting aggressive and rude. I said will you be at the front desk the whole time? They said I can't promise that, in a bad tone. It was clear to me they were not mothers. No mother would act like they did. I told them to please let them come in, and asked how long the test I needed would take. They said no and they they didn't know how long the test would be. I said this is a standard test of course you know. She said IDK maybe 15 minutes. At this point I was so fumed with their attitudes and unwillingness to help me out while in a bind. They were literally doing nothing but probably playing on their phones. so I scooped up the three kids and left. I drove to Westwood urgent Care. They were 180 degrees different.
