For years this urgent care location was strictly walk-in first come first serve. They have a newer feature that allows you to schedule an appointment online and they offer available times. To my absolute shock, when I arrived for the 1:30 appointment time for my 83 year old mother they just put her in the bottom of a 10 person wait list. Having an appointment is exactly the same as not having an appointment!!! When I questioned why they even offer appointments when they serve no function, I was instantly given an attitude and told many things in life don't make sense. Unbelievable!!! read more

Would not recommend. The receptionist sounded annoyed when I called to ask about the wait time. When I arrived in person she seemed equally bothered to assist me. I figured she was just having a bad day, but based on other reviews I'm thinking that might not be the case. I was seen right away without any waiting which was great. The nurse and physician were pleasant, nice, and professional. I performed a swab test to confirm an infection and it was sent out to Quest labs. The nurse said they would call with my results and that I could get access faster with the Quest app. My results appeared on the app the following afternoon. Health Express did not call me. I gave it until the next day when I called Health Express in the afternoon following up about my results and the need for antibiotics. The person who answered the phone was much more willing to help. She said that my prescription had already been sent to CVS. I let her know that no one contacted me about my results or prescription being sent. I went to CVS and they told me I was at the wrong location. I drove to a second CVS where they said they don't have a prescription for me. I called Health Express back and they said they're sending the prescription again and that I should get text alerts. Over an hour passed without getting a text. I called CVS and they still had nothing. I called health express again and this time they tried to tell me my swab test was negative for infection. I told them I was looking at the results from Quest and it said positive. The receptionist assured me that she was watching the dr send the prescription this time. It took over 48hrs to get an antibiotic. No one called me in first place, I had to contact them. It took me 3 phone calls to get them to properly sent my prescription. And after all that, they tried to change their story and tell me I didn't have an infection in the first place. Clearly something is off here and this office lacks organization. I won't be wasting my time with them again and I hope they can get their act together for their future patients. read more

Receptionist was awesome. No one in the place, was taken right in. Nurse did blood pressure Waited 20 minutes for doctor. He was extremely rude. Had to go out for stethoscope. Came back 15 later. Checked my breathing. Sent for xray. Went back to the room. Opens the door and says, "you have a strain". Doesn't come in the room. I had to ask what to do For pain relief, etc. very condescending when telling me how to care for it. Shuts the door and walks away. Very poor bedside manner and seemed like I was being rushed out. I've been to Health Express in the past, and was very satisfied. More recently, I went there for a COVID test. They advertise on their website that they do " rapid tests" .. Ha. The test is more accurately described as " extra slow" - result took more than one week! My daughter got the same test an hour after me & received her results the next day. . I think they "forgot" to send my test to Quest Diagnostics that day.. The doctor was very professional, kind and warm. But the receptionist is cold and rude; the nurse was worse. "Sit here! " " Over there!" .. No, " How are you feeling today?".. I ended up going to CVS for a rapid test. Got my results in 10 minutes and nurse there was kind and helpful. If you need a rapid COVID test, don't go here, go to CVS. read more

I am a very busy caregiver who needed an X-ray, I was between clients so I called, they weren't busy she said come right in, after being in a small room, with a chair made from stone for wayyyyyyyyyyy to long for a place with one other man who is just doing a simple urine drug screen? no one else but yet I was waiting over an hour so I popped out to see maybe they got busy!! On Sunday September 18th, I visited the Weymouth Health Express. I was told it could be a 90 minute wait. I chose to wait and was glad I did. They were busy but extremely efficient. I was seen in about an hour by a Physician Assistant Dorothy and she was terrific. The facility is very well run. and clean. I believe Christine was on the desk and was very pleasant and helpful. I can't remember the name of the Medical Assistant who took my vitals but she was great too! I highly recommend it. read more

I wish I could give this place negative 5 stars. If you're looking to go to an urgent care, be blown off and not even seen by a real doctor, this is the spot for you. My sister went in yesterday and wasn't treated at all. She was blown off and the "Doctor" was more concerned about her outfit than her severe cellulitis. When she got home, she was so upset and wanted to leave a review but couldn't remember the doctors name. So I called and asked who the on call was. The woman on the phone says, "his name is AJ". Maybe it's just me but I've never been to a doctor who wasn't introduced as "Dr ____". So I simply asked if "Dr. AJ" had a last name, they gave it to me, and I hung up. Had my sister listened to "Dr AJ" she could've gotten so much worse, possibly even contracting viral Meningitis. To make matters worse, "Dr. AJ" is NOT A DOCTOR. I googled him and found he is actually only a Physicians Assistant. So in conclusion, if you like being treated like garbage, blown off, and possibly given advice that could make your condition worse or even kill you, this is your place. Otherwise, I suggest going to the other side of Weymouth and hitting the emergency room at South Shore Hospital. read more

I go here for small or easily identified issues, since it is extremely close to home. However, recently I had been sick for a long time and I went to be evaluated. The doctor said that I had a cold and recommended an OTC treatment. I got worse. I went to urgent care at my primary care doctors practice. They confirmed the diagnosis but this time I insisted on testing for flu. Yep, that's what it was. But because of the delay, the treatment was less effective. I've been here twice now with my family. Each visit went above my expectations; and they are high. It gives me great comfort to be seen by an ER doctor versus an RN, PA, etc a highly trained individual. Service up front or over the phone can be discourteous; they are busy. I was treated at Health Express for a Covid test. The entire visit went like clockwork with a short wait time and a professional diagnosis and an appropriate treatment. Dr. Fisher discussed the medication he was prescribing, including possible side effects. Went to Health Express after suffering through a lingering illness while traveling, and decided I wanted to take care of it before I got home. Called ahead and was advised to come on in. Was processed immediately and seen a by very competent staff, including the doctor. The process was very fast and pleasant -- my wife and kids enjoyed waiting in the lobby, watching the Rose Bowl on a big flatscreen, while sitting next to the fireplace (albeit an artificial one but still nice to sit by). The quality and experience was night and day from being at the local ER (and the doc who saw me was previously an ER doc there at South Shore Hospital). Highly recommended. read more

Avoid this location. Saw me for 15 seconds with wrong diagnosis. I was 10 months pregnant and had excessive amount of ear wax and one day after shower, I couldn't hear out of one ear. i knew it was an ear wax blockage and went in for it to be removed. The male assistant couldnt care less about my problem and I was seen by a nurse practioner. She came in the room, took one quick look in my ear and said " theres no wax in there, its an ear infection i will give you the antibiotic drop". She never asked any questions if I have other symptoms for the infection. She then left the room before I even open my mouth to ask questions or say anything. The whole thing took about 15 second and i didnt even say a word. I then used the drop she prescribed with no improvement. Couple days later I went into labor , it was awful as i couldnt hear out of one ear and I couldnt hear my baby crying at night after she was born. I then requested to see a doctor at the hospital and sure enough, it was an ear wax blockage like I thought. They used the machine and flooded it out in 10 mins. The nurse practitioner from this location was careless and rude. I will never go back there again. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I absolutely would. I took my husband here on Friday night 12/8/17. We arrived at 730p, this location closes at 8p. He had fallen in the garage and needed his elbow checked out. Upon entering, the receptionist (with absolutely no regard to my husband's health) quickly told us they were closing. He told her it would not take long, but she dismissed us by letting us know here was too much paperwork to get done. Don't come here if you think you might have to get a medication right away. I came here for my asthma. And they did all the normal things. They prescribed me some on prednisone which I knew I needed to take shortly after the neb treatment. So after I left I went over the the CVS down the street, where I asked my necessary medication to be sent. And guess what? This "Urgent Care" never sent it. The place was closed so it was not like I could go an call them. I ended up a few hours later in the Emergency Room (which never happened just a few hours of going to Urgent Care) spending a lot of money and time at the Emergency Room, WHICH WAS THE POINT OF GOING TO URGENT CARE IN THE FIRST PLACE? How can an Urgant Care be so dumb as to not send over medication down the street! I will be calling whoever I can to get my copay back. Don't come here, even when desperate. read more

Went on Sunday, staff was nice. I visited the weymouth location on 53. I was in and out very quickly and received a prescription for Poison ivy. After being on the medicine for three days, still very itchy, uncomfortable and swollen I decided to call back to see if they had any recommendations or if I should be prescribed something else. Receptionist answered and told me I could come back in and be reevaluated (pay another copay).. And see another doctor about my "condition". I said that's dumb if the doctor is sure about his diagnosis it shouldn't be difficult to figure out what's going on and if I need to be taking a different prescription. The receptionist told me I could speak to the doctor but he would also just tell me to come back in. So I told her no thanks and I would call my primary care office since Health Express obviously couldn't help me. Went to my primary care. They told me health express did prescribe me the right medication but the dosage was all wrong. Health express put me on 40 mg for 4 days. My primary care at ssmc said I need to start at 60 mg a day for four days and then work down to 50 for two days, 40 for two days and so on until the pills run out. Looks like for now on I will drive the extra 15 mins to my primary care instead of wasting time and money at Health Express that's right down the street. read more

Upon walking into Health Express, I was impressed. It appeared new, clean, and a friendly young man greeted me at the check in counter. I was also thrilled that there was nearly no wait time. However, the service I received was incredibly disappointing. First of all, the male nurse who first met with me was incredibly rude and condescending. He was cold and seemed to scoff at me when I explained my symptoms and not take me seriously. Then the doctor came in, who was at least a little bit nicer than the nurse. But I was in and out of there in just a few minutes! He barely listened to or considered my symptoms, and dismissed me with the advice of "drinking more water". Definitely not what someone who has been sick for over a month, experiencing asthma symptoms wants to hear. This was an awful experience and I will never return there. Don't waste your time going here! You will leave frustrated and with more questions than answers. I would rate 0 stars if I could. read more

I had to go in for some stitches today and it was my first time ever. I typically do not do well with needles or anything like that but I had Dr. James and he was absolutely amazing not sure what his last name is but he did a great job at distracting me making me laugh and keeping me calm while getting the stitches in. They took me in right away made me feel comfortable with the new restrictions regarding COVID-19 and the girls at the front desk or nothing but pleasant highly recommend this place if you ever are in emergency. read more

Way less painful than the er at South Shore Hospital. Our primary is in Boston, with limited saturday hours, so when something came up on the weekend that needed care, we tried Health Express. We were greeted immediately, as soon as I finished the paperwork we were seen by the nurse and doctor. Sure the nurse seemed a little out of date, and the doctor was hilariously over familiar with us, but the overall care was amazing. We walked out quicker than expected with the right diagnosis, a script was sent to our pharmacy and we were on the mend. At the follow up appointment with our regular primary, he had all the paperwork from Health Express with test results. I'd feel safe taking my family here for any off hours emergency rather than sit at South Shore Hospital. read more

I went in on a Sunday with my toddler who woke up with a cough and ear pain. Front desk staff was very sweet. I wasn't sure about bringing in my daughter as she's so young but she reassured me that they saw patients of all ages. Wasn't a long wait at all until we were put in a room and only a bit longer after that a doctor came in. Waiting room is really really nice though, felt like a hotel lobby. I don't remember the doctor's name unfortunately but he was really nice, checked all her vitals and found she had double ear infections. He called in her prescription and we headed over to pick it up. It was seriously in and out, which is exactly what I was hoping for because anyone with a toddler knows a long wait when they're sick is painful for both of you. Was also happy to be able to start her on her meds a day earlier than if I'd waited for her primary care and also was able to avoid the ER which was unnecessary- but on a Sunday there's no real options. Am really happy with the overall experience, would visit again or recommend to a friend in a heartbeat. read more

After reading what others say I'd assume I caught them on a bad day, but I had to go twice so.... Disorganized, unprofessional, won't go back..... PART I I called express care because my new employer, several all hours away, needed a TB test done. I needed to have it administered and then read 2 days later, and have the results faxed to my employer. Since health express is a mile for my house, this seemed like a better option despite the fact I would have to pay for it out of pocket. I was assured on the phone this was no problem. I got there, and the facility was brand new, and everything clean. Hence the 2 stars. The front desk help was inappropriately dressed, and was too distracted by her text messages clearly visible on the front desk surface to manage the empty office, given the disgusting show blaring on the TV set with swarms of insects and animal attacks as a primary feature. NOT what I want to see at a Dr. office. I filled out paperwork and explained what I needed, and was told there was no problem. I then had to pay. When I was handed my receipt it just had a dollar amount, no service listed. I said I needed a receipt with the amount and service listed for tax deductions. The girl did not seem to understand what I wanted, but said I would get one after. Then I'm in a exam room, and my vitals are being taken. I have no idea why. The blood pressure machine doesn't work but the technician insists on continuing to try. I said it wasn't necessary, explaining why I was there again, but he insisted until finally asking me what it usually was. He then went to ask a dr if they needed to check me before the test. Check what??? Nope I'm good, and what should have taken 5 minutes now happens. Lovely. The technician was at least pleasant. I walk out to reception to wait for this "discharge paperwork" where my service and dollar amount will be united on one piece of paper. Said receptionist looks at me expectantly and I return her expectant look, before saying " you told me you would have discharge paperwork for me with the dollar amount and service" "oh" She says, and turns to yell for the technician who did the test. Between the two of them they still cannot give me a "services rendered" receipt, and 45 min later, I walk out having given up on that. PART II After this, I am THRILLED to have to go back and have this test read, but it's already paid for so off I go. This time there is an appropriately dressed, nice woman at reception, and nothing on the tv that makes me want to throw up. Good start, the owners daughter must be taking the day off. I explain why I'm there and the woman knows exactly what I mean and asks me to have a seat. I preemptively write down all the fax information for my TB test results, since my arm has not turned purple I am reasonably confident this will take but a moment. Again, back to the exam room, this time I refuse the vitals, it's getting a bit ridiculous, each time I explain why I'm there takes longer than it would to read the results. And then.... I wait.....and wait. And wait. Finally the dr comes in, thinking I had some other test done. No, I explain, holding out my arm. He looks at it, and turns to walk out. "Wait" I said and hand him the written out fax info . "What's this?" He says. I explain where the test results need to go. He looks annoyed and tells me "can't you just send them yourself?" No, I explain, I am working for a hospital and they asked to receive the records from a medical office if I did not make the trip to their facility to have the test done there. "We'll we don't do that." He says. Now I'M a bit more than annoyed, explaining I had called his office initially and was told they DID in fact do that" with an actual sigh, he practically ripped the paper out of my hand and said "fine" and left without another word. RUDE!!! Over a FAX???? There's no excuse for treating a patient like that, and it's not like they were too busy, I've seen funeral homes doing a brisker business. My regular Dr. Is in Boston, I thought I'd save myself the hassle of driving into the city. Guess I got a whole OTHER hassle. Now I get to call and see if my employer ever got my test results.... read more

I have been here a few times for various sore throats, anything quick. However, I came in here on Tuesday for a knee injury that happened 6 months ago. (I just hadn't had time to get it checked, whoops). I had Dr. Eng (I don't know the spelling). She could not have been nicer. She went above and beyond her job duties to help me out and get me an emergency appointment with an ortho doctor. I got my X-rays done there and the xray technologist was so professional and kind. I had alway just had average care there for strep tests and colds. However, this time was exceptional! Thank you so much Dr. Eng for the professional, very helpful visit. read more

Docs here actually care. They even call you back a day or two after your visit just to check up on you.They are well staffed so pretty much a little to no wait time even for walk-ins. The place is so clean big AL would eat a steak off the floor. Docs are attentive and actually listen to your complaint instead of just signing a script and kicking you loose thinking to yourself wtf just happened. Had a great experience here. Went after getting recommended by my boyfriend, who also has a great experience here. Was in and out in about half hour, if that. The next day, I had a question and I called them to speak to a doctor. A doctor called me back within 10 minutes and answered my questions. I am very disappointed in this place. Their advertised hours are 9-8. I show up tonight at 7:53 looking for a strep test because my throat is killing me. They told me no because it takes 15 minutes, and they have 2 patients still!! Are you kidding me? If 8pm is your pack up and go home time, don't advertise walk in hours until 8pm! If I had known this I would have attempted to make it to my normal urgent care center, but they were closer. I will never use this place in the future. This place is amazing, I can never get to my doctors without missing work bc of her available office hours and so I have visited this facility quite a few times now bc there hours cater to people who work (which is the majority of society these days) & the doctors there have proven to be far more knowleable in determining the appropiate treatment without a series of unnecessary tests. This facility's hours are super accomodating, have the same co-pay as my primary care doctor and I am always in and out easily within an hour. Health Express is a refreshing addition to the healthcare world, its actually proven easier than dealing with my primary care and has been my "go to" for medical attention the past year. read more
