The assistant as well. The test was negative. After hearing my breath through the stethoscope, the NP proceeded with a flu test and throat swab. Check in was quick and painless but once I got into an exam room I was made to feel like I was wasting the time of the nurse and doctor who saw me. I came in due to having constant nausea and vomiting for almost two weeks and when I told the nurse bread was the only thing I could keep down she told me "well that isn't going to help you lose weight". When I said I wasn't trying to lose weight and that I was vomiting because I was sick, she just said "oh." The doctor came in and was incredibly rude, rolling her eyes every time I answered one of her questions. She decided that I wasn't sick and told me I should have gone to my primary instead of here. I brought in a baby with a tick beginning to embed :( he was pretty stressed and the staff up front was not friendly or kind, which is understandable in that job, but a little kindness to people in need can go a long way. The medical staff was awesome. They were so great with kids & they taught me (all this time I thought I knew) how to remove a tick in SECONDS with no pain. They gave the kids a million stickers & were just very warm and kind. I would give 5 stars, but some of the things that they needed me to fill out before they would look at him were excessive. Basically, go somewhere else and save yourself some money and lots of aggravation. Research the doctors associated with a practice and make sure you get a decent one. I ended up going to another provider outside this one, after trying to resolve my issue, because they are so crazy and unprofessional. I've gone to the Plymouth Health Express office before without a problem. Plymouth didn't have a doctor for a school bus certificate when I went in this time so I was told to go to Pembroke. BIG MISTAKE. The doctor there was downright mean and weird. She asked me FOUR times about my drinking and drug habits. I don't drink or do drugs. I get randomly drug tested and I choose not to drink. She asked bizarre questions about drinking cough syrup to get to sleep? WTF? Then she asked about my pot smoking habits and sleeping pills. Lady, c'mon. THEN, she refused to sign off on my certificate, the one I need to work and provide an income for my family. Granted I needed to forward a form to her. She wouldn't accept a fax or email. Oh no, had to walk that in. Annoying but fine. Asked when she would be in next and she didn't know her own schedule because she only works part time. Days went by. She wanted my regular medical doctor to fill out these forms. Catch-22. My wife called to try and talk some reason into her and she was condescending and snarky. Really wish I looked at the reviews before going to this location. Dr.Sullivan was very rude and not helpful what so ever! I went in to be seen for my asthma (that I have had my whole 25 years on this planet) and was completely dismissed as if I didn't know what I was talking about. Anyone with asthma knows that a simple breathing treatment and maybe a prescription for some prednisone will easily do the trick. I explained to Dr. Sullivan that this is usually what my doctor(who could not see me right away) does when I'm having an asthma attack. She tells me that there is no way of knowing if it's an asthma attack because they can't do an x-ray. Then goes on and prescribes me an antibiotic.? For what? Needless to say I will not be going back there! I highly recommend going to someone who actually cares and listens to what you have to say. That is all! read more

I went to Health Express with my small child and had the unfortunate experience of being seen by Dr. Sullivan. Dr. Sullivan was rude and lacked any beside manner. She did not listen to me when I was explaining my child's symptoms, past illnesses, and current concerns. She felt it was more important to use the time to lecture me. I am appalled by our visit and concerned my child did not receive appropriate treatment. I have had several negative experiences at the Pembroke Health Express, but this most recent time will definitely be my last time. The majority of the staff are rude, barely look at you, and rush through your appointment even though I've almost always had to wait an extraordinarily long amount of time. I was there recently with my 4-year-old for over TWO HOURS just to have his ears checked. I asked staff twice if they knew how much longer, and they were dismissive. I will say one young woman was much more polite than the other staff and actually offered some apology/some crayons for my son. Dr. Sullivan and the male medical assistant were rude and had absolutely no bedside manner. No one ever peeked in to apologize/ give me any sort of indication of how much longer we'd be waiting. This is probably the 4th time we've seen Dr. Sullivan over the last couple years, so wish I could say maybe she was having a bad day. She talks over us, rushes us out the door, and is condescending and the opposite of sympathetic- almost as if it's our fault if our child is sick. NEVER EVER AGAIN! read more

I walked in with a low grade fever and a terrible cough. I was seen by Dr. Mensching and told him that I was exposed to the Flu. He instead did chest X-rays and prescribed me an inhaler. I went home that night with a worsening fever, vomiting and headache. When I called the next day to say that I know I have the flu and I cannot get out of bed, the receptionist told me that the dr I saw would most likely not do anything for me. Later that day I ended up in the ER with difficulty breathing due to cough and dehydration because of the fever I could not break even with Tylenol and Motrin. Went today for a possible sinus infection. I have 3 littles at home and I'm 7 months pregnant so just to be sure I had planned to get covid and flu tests while there. Nurse called me in and said "you think you have a sinus infection" then never asked a symptom, never used a stethoscope, never checked my ears, and only took my blood pressure and said, "well you know that could be covid - we can do a test", I said ok and then had to ask for flu test as well. As he was leaving the room, he asked if I was vaccinated. I said no. And he left. Had he asked WHY I wasn't he would have learned that I have a medical reason that my obgyn and primary care are fully aware of, have a plan for and are all on the same page about. After waiting for results, a female doctor with no bedside manner came in like a bull and immediately laid into me about not being vaccinated. Squeezed in a mention that I was covid negative but positive for flu. Not one mention of how to care for flu, just harassed me about vaccination status and how I need to be in communication with my obgyn and get on same page with covid. I said I was and we were and have a plan but she was relentless about talking about covid NOT the flu which I was positive for. What if I never asked for flu test? Would they have even given one? They are covid obsessed. When I left, I looked through the papers I got, all about aftercare for covid and a pamphlet about covid - NOT ONE AFTERCARE PAPER ABOUT THE FLU. I had to call my obgyn after I left for safe flu aftercare suggestions. Truly unbelievable. Will never go again. read more

Go to a real hospital! I wasted time and excruciating pain here and the next day I had to go to the real hospital with real professionals who have good bedside manner. I sprained my ankle...I missed a step..felt like my ankle actually folded in half. I could not get up... the pain was so bad that when a stranger helped me get into my car finally I started dry heaving and felt very faintish..my husband who was in a boot and on crutches had to drive me to this excuse for medical care. (Luckily it was his left foot) Now we arrive..Husband parked as close as he could bc clearly we are quite the pair here. He gets out and can barely help me..I had to HOP...the tiny distance from car to reception I HOPPED.. multiple breaks in between! Did anyone come out and help either one of us? Nope. Once in a room a very frosty, uncaring nurse or whatever she was..who really cares..asks what's wrong and to take my boot off. I said I can't..I cannot even touch that entire area. Not phased she tells me again to take it off...I get it she can't see the ankle with the boot on but she never helped..just sat and waited until it was removed. I honestly wouldn't have cared if they cut the $160 boots off..Just HELP me!! Long story short.. took one look.. yup sprained..basically nothing we can do. No X-ray.. but the best part was no help to my car either! Once AGAIN I hopped. Luckily there was one soul in that sterile robotic pop up hospital that had sympathy.... not from staff though!....it was a woman waiting to be seen... helped us back to the car!! Not a wheelchair or a crutch! Just wow! Oh and ps...health express..ssh hospital showed me next day how huge the swelling in my ankle was and put me in a boot and gave me crutches...that I was on for over 2 weeks!!! Never never again..I have anxiety about that sprain and I'm extra cautious with myself and honestly your above and beyond care helped nothing. read more

I would have given a double ZERO if possible. This place is absolutely horrible! My daughter was the first patient in the place yet we waited 50 minutes to be seen for only 5 minutes. But that's not the worse part. They billed me an extra $18 for a pregnancy test for my 11 YEAR OLD daughter who has NEVER had her period. And when I called to say this must be a mistake she said that it's standard billing whenever a urine sample is taken, even if a pregnancy test was provided or not. Patient be aware, they are just out to steal your money. $205 for a 5 minute consultation and $27 for the urine. Disgusting practice! Would NEVER EVER EVER return. read more

Tried to get a prescription sent to our pharmacy that their dr. wrote, and after 4 phone calls, still no script. I have gone here before and been satisfied. This time, however, not so much. I went for a bad pain in my shoulder area. The Dr came in, moved the arm around and said he knew exactly what was wrong and I did not need an x-ray. He said I had pulled muscles and tendons in my rotator cuff. After a week the pain had not gotten better so I went to my PC and was told that it was definitely not a rotator cuff and not even a problem with a shoulder. It was a pinched nerve. He took xrays and found the issue. Was sent to an Ortho doctor, confirmed diagnosis. Need PT and meds. I am really upset because I wasted a week and actually did things I should not have because of this diagnosis. Definitely will not be going back there again. read more

I called and spoke with a dr about some symptoms I've been having for almost two months and he said to go to the emergency room right away. I explained that I went to the emergency room and had no testing done and was requesting an X-ray be done to maybe identify the issue. I had had a colonoscopy done prior to this and this is the response I received "you already had a procedure done I'm not sure what you want us to do. I didn't see the results of the colonoscopy so therefor I can't help you. We are just urgent care" Word for word that's the response I got. I felt uncomfortable over the phone with this guy (who would not initially just pick up the phone and speak to me he made the reception ask me 10 questions) before I spoke directly to him, like this was some sort of extra chore. I pray this guy isn't as rude to other patients because I felt worse after this experience truly. Hope that guy was just having a bad day because I freaked out a little bit when a dr told to me "we don't know what to do with you". Don't go to this place. Go to the Pembroke one instead. They have drs that will listen to your symptoms and won't say "I don't know". I honestly could not believe how rude this guy was. It was like a scene out of a movie he sounded mad at me. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. It is amazing the this place would put a doctor like Dr. Patricia Sullivan in front of people especially children. She is unfriendly and lacks the common basics needed to deal with children who have to visit the doctor -- simply put, she is not gentle or caring and does not know how to make children at ease. She should only treat adults or, probably better yet, she should probably go into the lab and stay there (maybe they could give her a red stapler). Also, this place lost our kid's lab samples and have no clue where they are or how they were lost and then failed to contact us to let us know in time to redo them the the specialist appointment that was scheduled for the following week in Boston. So we had no lab results to share as a baseline for that appointment. (I will likely be contacting the AMA about this nonsense). Lastly, the head doctor even admitted that Dr. Sullivan should have referred us out in the first place and shouldn't have treated our child for the issues we came in for. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else that has competent, professional, and friendly staff. read more
