I was with State Farm for almost 5 years. I had a few minor claims (windshield damage from rocks,…read moreetc.) and then one accident where I crashed into a ditch near by apartment building in October 2013. This was just a few weeks after my fiance died, leaving me as a single mother. State Farm called me shortly after to let me know I would no longer be receiving comprehensive coverage. Thanks for that phone call during my time of intense mourning and trying to arrange all the affairs of my now deceased fiance. I had someone/something take a huge gouge out of the passenger side near the door about 9 months later. That jacked up my premium once again. This past October I did rear-end someone in a minor fender bender. Premium went up once again and while I was not pleased with the continued knee jerk reactions after relatively minor damages/incidents, I stuck with them because I knew eventually my premium would come back down. I received a voicemail about a month ago from an agent who asked me to call her regarding my policy. I called her back, left a voicemail, and didn't hear anything back. I get another missed call/voicemail today stating the same issue. I call back and once again she's not available, but calls me back this time and tells me that my policy isn't being renewed. It ends in 3 weeks. The only explanation is the fender bender back in October. She claimed a letter was sent (nope) and that she had sent emails (also nope). I've never dealt with a less customer service oriented company. Learn to treat people with some decency, especially during difficult times.
