I strongly recommend staying away from Hillsborough Auto Sales. Within only two days, the vehicle began idling roughly, the check engine light came on, and my sister noticed a strong oil smell and oil leaking around the engine. We gave the dealership an opportunity to fix the vehicle. They claimed the problem was the fuel injectors, said they repaired them, and returned the vehicle to my sister, telling her it was "good to go." That same day, smoke began coming from under the hood. The following day, heavy smoke entered the vehicle through the air-conditioning system while my sister and her newborn daughter were inside. This was dangerous and completely unacceptable. I had Midas perform a diagnostic inspection, and they found oil leaking from several locations, including the valve cover, timing cover, oil pan, rear main seal, and oil cooler housing. Their technician specifically documented that these were "not fresh oil leaks" and that the vehicle had been leaking for quite some time. Despite this, the dealership refused to take responsibility, provide a refund, or cover the necessary repairs. I am including photos of the oil leaks because people deserve to see the condition of the vehicle we were sold. Returning the vehicle after an unsuccessful repair and saying it was safe to drive put my sister and newborn niece in a dangerous situation. Based on our experience, I would never purchase another vehicle from Hillsborough Auto Sales, and I would not recommend them to anyone.

After weeks and…read moreweeks of combing the internet and visiting most of the used car lots in the Tampa Bay Area we came across the Auto Store of Tampa Bay II and we are so grateful we found it. The Auto Store of Tampa Bay is a small family owned and operated lot which is easy to miss amongst the many used car lots, congested and fast pace road it is located on. However, what attracted us to it was the noticeable cleanliness of all the vehicles on the lot. Every vehicle was detailed and display with so much pride we had go inside. After browsing the impressive lot out front we decided to go inside where we were greeted by Mike W. who was not overly pushy and very upfront about all the cars on the lot. He took the time to learn what our priorities were and answered all of our questions which were a lot. Lol We test drove the vehicle we were set to buy and notice the AC wasn't blowing as strong as it could have (keep in mind this was a 12 yr old car); Mike offered to take it to his mechanic for a check and recharge at no additional cost and even included that as a guarantee in the bill of sales. We planned to register the car in another state which became more complicated than we anticipated and Mike went above and beyond (2 weeks AFTER we purchased the car) to help us navigate the different registration and tax requirements; even helping us making calls to the Florida and out of state DMV's and getting some required forms notarized for us at no additional cost to us. Again this is a couple weeks after we purchased the car from them. Our overall experience with the Auto Store of Tampa was a great one! We were able to purchase an affordable, good looking, AND RELIABLE vehicle for our son. We will definitely be back for any future used car buying needs and HIGHLY recommended them to anyone who is hesitant about used car lots. Pros: Affordable Prices Professionally Detailed Vehicles Outstanding Customer Service Bilingual (English and Spanish) Honest about their inventory Easy to Work with and Negotiate Deal Available even after the sale is complete Good mix of newer and older cars all very clean Cons: Not the best location to get in and out of Parking is hit or miss Not the largest inventory in the area

And to be quite frank iv looked at over 60 trucks in the last month and half- everything has been garbage. This one seemed to be best mechanically that we had seen. The body had quit a bit of damage, interior they did and excellent job cleaning. I bought this truck and didn't even make it home. Had to call for a tow truck, the radiator had a crack in it, had to pay for the tow, mechanic and the radiator alone was $400. The cab of truck is also leaking there is water marks all over the headliner, wouldn't crank yesterday had it towed back to the mechanics and the truck needs head gaskets and batteries. I haven't even made my first payment on this truck. Very disappointed! I would never recommend this place.

From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with a warm and professional atmosphere that made the car-buying process seamless and stress-free. A huge shoutout to Jen for going above and beyond to make sure I found the perfect car for my needs. She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and attentive, answering all of my questions with confidence and care. She took the time to understand what I was looking for and never once made me feel pressured to make a decision. Jen truly made the experience enjoyable, and her expertise and honesty were refreshing. She even followed up after the sale to ensure everything was going smoothly, which speaks volumes about her commitment to customer satisfaction. If you're in the market for a vehicle, I highly recommend Tampa Bay Autonetwork and especially Jen. Exceptional service, an amazing team, and a fantastic selection of vehicles--what more could you ask for? I will definitely be returning for future purchases and recommending them to all my friends and family!

After I completed a purchase here, all I needed to do was send them a couple of my last paystubs for proof of income. This wasn't normally a problem, but it was late on a Friday on a holiday weekend and I had trouble getting in touch with somebody from my companies HR department to send these to me. I explained that this might have to wait until the following week. The sales manager absolutely lost his mind with anger. He started cussing me out, using profanity, and even accused me of being an unemployed liar. He asked me "do you even have a job, or did you just say that to get the car?" Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. What a way to treat your paying customers. Eventually I was able to acquire the paperwork he needed from my company, and suddenly they were all nice and friendly again. Yeah, screw you. These are awful people to deal with. Never again.

The car salesman that helped us out was Andre and he is a nice and knowledgable guy. He was patient with the other cars we wanted to see and answered our questions when he had the answer. If he didn't which happened from time to time he didn't make stuff up but checked the internet or asked other salesmen. We didn't end up buying last August, but returned this past weekend. We took a look at maybe 10 cars and we had it down to a beautiful 2018 Infiniti QX30 and a nice 2017 Outback Impreza. Both vehicles came at a reasonable cost and I felt we would have gotten a deal buying either one. We ended up choosing the Outback. We decided to finance through Car Heroes because on certain vehicles this gets you a reduced price of around a grand. Both my wife and I have excellent credit so we figured we would get a finance rate of 5%. Well, unfortunately we were pretty far in when we found out our rate was 6.9% for two co-owners with excellent credit. This was probably the most negative aspect of the car dealing experience for us here. Of course we could have skirted around the issue if we had come pre-qualified through one of our banks. The cost of the vehicle would have been an extra grand though. There are trade-offs. Through all of the finance applications and signatures we were helped by Brian who is a nice guy. We were probably with him for and hour and half to two hours. He didn't rush us through any of the process and we felt free to back out or say no on any occasion. The cars sold here are all ex car rental vehicles so they come with more miles than usual for their age and a bit more wear and tear. People don't treat rentals with care or respect, because its not theirs after all. However, you are free to inspect and drive all the vehicles here and you may save just enough that it ends up being worth it for you. I thought our Outback was in great condition and three days in and it is running great. Only time will tell if there is an issue we don't know about, but I think we got a nice car. This business is expanding so wait times can get up there. We went on a Saturday and with all the looking, driving, and signing we did we spend about 4.5 hours there, but during previous visits it was pretty empty. During the week and work hours is a great time to come. As they increase in size and hire additional employees this place should improve. This dealership may not be for everyone, but I like the transparency of their fees, they get nice cars in all the time, the staff is nice, and the prices are very competitive even with the negatives.
