When I moved into a new condominium , I wanted to add crown molding, new paint, and new doors. I also needed to fix broken drawers, fix broken doors, and make other improvements. I wanted to complete the work before I moved my furniture into the condominium, so I was searching for a highly-qualified, reasonably priced contractor but did not know where to look. I was surprised when I found a "Welcome Letter" and business card of General Contractor Jeff Caria sitting in my mailbox the first day I took possession of the property. I was curious about Jeff so I typed his name into Google and found some excellent and very favorable reviews on "Yelp," which is a source that I trust when looking for honest, unbiased opinions. Because of the great reviews I read, I called Jeff. I was encouraged by the long time he spent on the phone with me finding out exactly what I wanted to do. He arranged to come over and take a look at my new home. I have long work hours, but he was able to accommodate me and stopped by after I got back from work in the evening. He was creative and offered me cost-effective ways to do what I wanted while enhancing the value of the property. His knowledge and ingenuity made it apparent that he knew what he was doing and had been in this business a long time. I turned over the condominium to Jeff and John Loureiro (JC Loureiro Painting), a painter who works with him. The work was completed in less than a week. Jeff and John did the work exactly to my specifications. I picked the brand of paint, color of paint, and style of crown molding. Jeff showed me a large selection of crown molding and made sure I was happy with it. He converted the place from a hideous state (with ugly yellow walls and paint on the tiles) into a place that looked elegant, presentable, and quite distinguished. His prices were reasonable and he was very business-like. He charged exactly what he said he would. In addition, Jeff made it easy for me because he worked out things with the homeowners association and kept the property very clean while doing the work. He worked long hours and finished in the time frame he promised. When my parents visited , they were impressed with the workmanship and immediately asked me for their business cards because they will be moving into a new home also. My parents are extremely critical. They are also knowledgeable in home improvement and home renovations because of extensive past experience with real estate. They have hired a large volume of contractors and painters in the past. Jeff Caria and John Loureiro both have a great personality, excellent sense of humor, and are fun to work with. They both returned several times to do touch ups after my furniture was moved in and carpet was added. This is because they are perfectionists and dedicated. Let me share with you a great experience my neighbor, Dana, and I recently had with Jeff Caria of Caria Construction these past few months. I had the original 1989 vinyl flooring (ugh!) replaced in my downstairs townhouse bathroom as well as the laundry room with tile - been meaning to do it for years! Jeff was most professional, always on time, easy to get ahold of as well as tidy - and his rates were very reasonable. He re-hooked up my washer/dryer after the tiling had been set & sealed and tested them to ensure they were functioning properly. And when I mentioned I really needed to replace a torn screen door but didn't have a large enough vehicle to get it repaired at the store, he handled that for me as well. And then I remembered how dim the overhead flighting ixture was in the laundry room. Well, instead of a costly option with a new fixture, Jeff offered a better, less expensive alternative that has worked out beautifully. And did I mention that he also replaced the downstairs toilet with one of the eco-friendly low-flush models? This really knocked off a few items on my "honey do" lists! I really appreciated the fact that he hauled away the old toilet and debris too. When Dana, my neighbor saw how happy I was with my tile, she went ahead and had her vinyl flooring replaced too along with laundry room light fixture. I was introduced to Jeff Caria of Caria Construction in San Carlos when I needed to do some work on my duplex rental in Redwood City a few years ago. Jeff was extremely courteous, professional, and honest. We needed to replace the roof, all of the rain gutters and down spouts, and replace all of the fascia boards which were dry rotted. Jeff prepared a cost estimate which outlined all of the work that would be done in detail and provided a date for when the work would be completed by. The estimate was extremely reasonable and I highly appreciated his attention to detail so I knew there wouldn't be any hidden or additional costs. Not only do we recommend Caria Construction for all of your construction needs, we now hopefully have a long-term partner to transform our home over the years. Jeff took on the relatively small job of remodeling our master bathroom and transformed it completely. We were limited in our options (could not expand), but the transformation is incredible. Our bathroom was old, damaged and lifeless. Jeff worked with us on our ideas and presented his own recommendations leading to a bathroom we are excited about. It was gutted down to the studs. He moved plumbing, installed radiant heating, a recessed light in the shower, an exhaust fan, crown molding, a recessed medicine cabinet, sconce lighting, a new vanity, a new toilet and two niches and a bench in the shower. Jeff has been providing excellent construction services since I moved into my condominium about five years ago. He has completed all sorts of projects for me including replacing several wooden doors with metal doors/frames, installing a kitchen range hood, removing a built in microwave from my kitchen, installing several light blocking custom-sized blinds which allow me to sleep peacefully, installing light fixtures and calking my kitchen/bathroom.
