Hired Neagu for a whole house remodel. My family has been using Neagu for large remodel jobs. His prices are VERY competitive, but his work is 1st class. His crew are skilled craftsmen, especially Robert. Neagu can help you with everything on your remodel project; he can design it, select material, select color, and build it. The crew is reliable, on time everyday and work the entire day. Neagu manages the project on a tight schedule, so make you can keep up with him. There are a lot of contractors out there, get multiple bids from everyone, but make sure you consider Neagu for your next project. He is honest and whatever he says he comes through with it.

I signed up to yelp specifically to write this review. I inherited my grandparents old house that was built in the early 1940s. It was run down and had many patch job repairs throughout the years. After giving it much thought we decided it was worth it to renovate instead of just selling it as is. I found Neagu the way you find most good businesses, by word of mouth. I gave Neagu a call and set up an appointment for a walk through. I showed him the old house and my concerns about hidden water damage. My goal was to bring everything in the house up to code and extend the house slightly if we could keep it in budget. He took notes and informed me it was a very big job, but he and his team had worked on houses in worse condition. After checking with the bank and getting a solid budget, we made another appointment with him and an architect. Neagu was a great help, he was able to tell us what was possible and what he recommended while staying in our budget. On many instances he had much better taste and ideas than the architect. After going over many design edits, we came to a design that we liked and that we could afford. After submitting the paperwork to the city, Neagu went there personally many times to help speed the process along. Once the city approved the work, he and his team were on time every day. I can't say enough good things about his team. They are hardworking and trustworthy guys that even fed my cat on days I couldn't make it back to the house. I think that cat ended up liking them more than he likes me. Now the fun part, the unexpected damages. As the demo progressed and the stucco was removed on the north side of the house, water damage was reviled that went all the way to the foundation. That ended up costing more, but Neagu told us not to worry about it, he will make it work. Unfortunately for me, the deeper they dug into the house, the more unexpected damage was found. Foundation repairs, rotted wood, termites, bad pipes, all doors were 4" under code (that was a shocker) and then the south side of the house. The damage on the south side was so severe, I arrived to Neagu and his team just looking at it trying to understand how the house had not fallen down yet. The whole corner and most of the support beams were gone. Gone! Rotted away from decades of leaks. The team went from telling me "we've worked on worse", to "this is the most damage we've seen". There was not workaround for this, so obviously we had to go over budget. Even though the price understandably went up, I heard from other contractors that they would have charged me almost double what Neagu charged us. In the end, we received a great deal on the amount of work that was done. The damage was repaired, extended 4' on one side, Kitchen, master bed and bath remodeled, new plumbing, all new electrical and central heating/AC was added. It took around three months of work, and was still cheaper than bulldozing and starting from scratch. Take a look at the before and after pics. I can't recommend them enough.

If you are searching for a competent contractor, search no more. Viorel Neagu and his team just completed a major kitchen remodel/extension for us in No. Berkeley, and we are delighted with the results. After receiving several bids from various Bay Area contractors we decided to go with Viorel because of his good online recommendations and his fair price. What a great product he offers. His crew is experienced, talented and respectful, offering a high degree of quality. They arrived every day and on time. Viorel knows his business and offers suggestions that are practical and customer service driven. He is honest as the day is long. Thanks to Viorel and his team we have a beautiful new kitchen that was created within our budget. We will definitively use him again for other jobs. ~Lynn V.

Neagu and his team of highly professional, courteous and hardworking contractors and technicians go above and beyond your basic general home remodeling service to make sure your finished result meets all of your expectations.. and more. At the start, his team carefully draped our house with drop cloths from top to bottom to ensure that nothing would damage or soil our furniture and carpet during service. That was very important to us. And it was also very clear that Neagu was genuinely interested in his customers' visions and ideas of what the end result would be. He is very patient, easy going and understanding when it comes to customers' concern of product and service affordability without the compromising of product quality and hardworking service. Great guy, great company. Kindly give them a call.

My bathroom was very outdated and probably hadn't been updated since the house was constructed in 1960. I met with more than five contractors and from the start, Yovel proved he had experience, a point of view on what would work for us, and an easy going manner. LB's quote was fair and they were upfront about potential change orders or other costs that might come up (not surprising for such an outdated bathroom!). Throughout the project, Yovel kept me updated on progress and sought my opinion when different options were available on how to proceed. In one instance, he came up with a great way to cut the tile so I could avoid paying for a whole extra box. The updates were particularly important for me because I didn't stay at the house during this renovation, because this was my only bathroom. I gave me the peace of mind that everything was under control when I couldn't personally be there to oversee things or give input. The bathroom turned out AMAZING and it's easily my favorite room in the house now. I would happily work with them again on my next home renovation.

I've never had to use a Water Restoration service before so I browsed trusty Yelp and reached out to Fire & Water Damage. Glad fellow Yelp friend Karen W gave a glowing review! They seem to answer calls 24/7 and I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. Mike was main point of contact and gave us an estimate and scope of work. Basically, they had to tear out the drywall and insulation from the wet area, dry and dehumidify the area for days, and then put on moon suits and remove any mold. We were able to have 2 techs come on a Friday and then let the dehumidifier run over the weekend. We also had to tear out our upper cabinet since the top was damaged by water. On Monday, they came back to remove any leftover mode and patch things up. The total price came in well below the estimate, which is a huge plus. Very happy with the service and efficiency. If you ever suspect you have water damage from leaks, call these guys and get the problem resolved to ensure mold doesn't form or worst, spread. Note that their services are purely restorative - they'll dry out the water-damaged area and get rid of all the mold. You'll need to hire a plumber first to stop the leaks and then afterwards, a drywall contractor to patch up the holes with insulation and new drywall followed by texturing and painting.

Once the project started, everything moved quickly and smoothly through each phase. Communication was timely and responsive, which helped keep the project moving efficiently from start to finish. Tony, the foreman, and his team were extremely detail-oriented and did exceptional work. The craftsmanship really shows in the finished bathroom. Everything looks carefully installed and precise, and the tile work in particular is incredibly clean. Overall, the project went well, and we're happy with the final results. Bryan, our foreman, was a strong asset to the project. Even though he was managing multiple jobs at the same time, his responsiveness and willingness to go out of his way to address our concerns made a big difference. Because we were home throughout the process, we were able to catch issues early and communicate them directly to Bryan, who consistently followed through to resolve them. What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.

We are still waiting for this to be repaired as well. Overall, the lack of timely resolution and poor communication after the project has been extremely frustrating.
