Quite possibly the best food truck in JC. I don't go nearly as much as I would like because their menu is primarily grilled meats and I don't eat meat. Their menu consists if whatever they cooked up that day and they post on FB as soon as they open up. Today I saw they had a jerk egg salad sandwich and a guacamole side so I made sure to show up for that. Of course the portion sizes are HUGE. You know you are being fed by someone who likes to eat when you get this much food. When I first took a bite of the guacamole, I almost fainted. It was seriously that good. I was excited to be able to get some non-meat items so I hope they continue that. I do often crave Caribbean flavors and this is some of the best I have tried. Today my daughter and I shared the PR Cuban and PR Explosion, both delicious and very different from each other. The sauce on the Explosion is like nothing I've ever tasted (in a great way). I got the hot sauce on the side since I don't like too much spice (oh boy it's spicy) but I couldn't get enough of it. Holy F***! This is a rare find in Johnson City. The owners are fantastic and the food is incredible! I had the PR Cuban sandwich. It was flavorful and a very nice portion. Traveled over 14 hrs from the NY city area to find an amazing food truck in Johnson City. Found a very happy crew; the air engulfed in a delish aroma of mix Peruvian/ Puerto Rican food. While I waited to be serve I overheard comments of everyone anxious to order: all A+. When my time came, I had a chance to pleasure every clusters and nerve endings of my tongue and sense of taste. So the fam and I decided to give this place a try. My daughter and her bf ordered the Cuban, which they allowed as a really good sandwich. I tried the PR Explosion, which had a sweet yet tangy BBQ sauce on pork BBQ, with sweet slaw. Outstanding! My wife had the "secret menu" item (displayed prominently on the menu board, natch) which was crabmeat and shrimp soup, which was fantastic. It was about 2/3's of a quart of soup, which was enough for everyone to try. The pita chips were plentiful and good foe dipping in the soup. Good portion size, and everyone was happy with what they got. Definitely worth a visit! read more

Best food in Johnson City and maybe the best Caribbean food I've had anywhere (even in the Caribbean itself)! They don't hold back on flavors and serve large, hearty dishes. You honestly can't go wrong with any of the dishes on the menu. Discovered this place two years ago, and I'm SO glad I did. My partner is from Puerto Rico and introduced me to to the rich cuisine, years back. I joke that him and his family have ruined me when it comes to food authenticity. Many of my favorite Caribbean and Hispanic food joints tasted like garbage after having the real deal But, let me tell you! This place does not disappoint. The food is so full of flavor, I have yet to try anything that is not impeccable. The menu is constantly changing, which makes each trip a new experience.
