If you have time before your flight, don't miss the 1850 Speakeasy tucked inside the lounge. It's a fun addition and serves well-crafted specialty cocktails in a more intimate setting. At the pool, they're pretty strict about the timing and the lobby got pretty crowded right before the scheduled time. The pools itself is relatively small, warm, and shallow. We got some IPAs on tap (around $10 each), hung out in the pool, and watched the planes. I was a bit surprised but the overall crowd there. Lots of families with splashing children and people that really just seemed to want to be by a pool and didn't care about that specific location. Didn't necessarily expect so many people to spend money and come all the way to JFK without caring for planes but ofc that's up to them. Just something to keep in mind if you choose to come here. They also don't have changing rooms so you might want to wear your swim clothes or you'll have to change in the bathroom. I would give the hotel a 6/5 and the pool a 3/5.
