Underwhelming overall. I know airport food isn't always going to be amazing, but this was disappointing even with that in mind. The burger was very basic and lacked flavor, the fries weren't anything special, and the whole meal just felt forgettable for the price. We also got fried pickles and a chicken sandwich. Again, not even worthy of a picture. As for service, it was typical for airport restaurant but honestly the food did come fast.

We got to the airport a few hours before our late night flight and planned to have dinner here. It was crowded and the place isn't very big. Luckily a table opened up just as we walked up. Unluckily the service was slow. I wouldn't recommend this place if you are paranoid about missing your plane. The place served southern comfort food.. My husband and I got the honey chicken and pickles. The chicken was juicy and the sauce was just the right sweetness. The sauce got everywhere making our hands sticky. The pickles were ok. The coleslaw that came with it wasn't my favorite and the biscuit was a little dry. The waiter made an effort to make sure we had everything we needed but you can tell he was tired and overworked.

    Worst food ever

First, the gentleman who seated me was very polite and professional. From there it was downhill. It took forever to get my waitress to come take my order, and even longer to get my soda. For reference, the tables of three and four near me all got waited on and their drinks before even though I eventually ordered before them. The food...that was honestly the worst I've ever had. Which is sad because I love Jacob's Pickles and Maison Pickle in the city. I know this is an abbreviated version. So I expected a little less. But this was astoundingly bad. The biscuit was stale. I realized after the fact that I was given the wrong sandwich--but even that was not made as it's supposed to be with "creamy BBQ sauce and melted pepper jack cheese." Instead a heap of cold, uncooked shredded cheese was just thrown on top. The slaw came out with some mystery sauce on one side of the plate and the other side had slaw hanging off touching the table. By the time I was an hour in and desperate to pay, I was unable to get my waitress until I finally stood up and the host helped flag her over, and I was pretty sure I was being punked. I'm a notorious over-tipper after waitressing in college, and I have never not tipped in my adult life. Until today.

For the food, 4 stars but for the price... 3. So I'm giving this spot 3.5 stars overall but on the lower end of that for the overall experience. The fried pickle spears were great with their house dipping sauce. Not soggy and tons of flavor. Definitely a great reason why they have their name! Fried chicken Caesar was ok. Well-dressed but chicken breading has no flavor and a bit dry. Needed to use the rest of my fried pickle sauces to compensate. They had a Jacob's pickles draft beer (and despite the pickles in the name it does not have or taste like pickles!). Really great draft beer though. Great lager flavor. The problem is that for those 3 items I paid almost $60 including tip. About what you can expect given this is NYC and the airport but that's pretty steep given the location. Service was fine enough, but given that you're in a casual spot at JFK it's nothing fancy. They helped me fast but I noticed some inconsistencies when people tried to get their attention at the bar. Bar stool seating had charging outlets so that was a nice thing to have!

New airport outpost of Jacob's Pickles in Terminal 4/JFK. The layout is not huge, but comfortable, with some tables, booths, and a bar. We decided to eat at the bar. The bartender was very pleasant. Our orders arrived promptly. The menu is an abridged version of the regular Jacob's Pickles restaurant menu. There is a breakfast menu until 11am. Other items mostly revolve around fried chicken and biscuits. I ordered the honey chicken sandwich with fries. Everything was delicious! The waffle fries were super crispy. The chicken was moist and flavorful. Loved the biscuit as well! A great addition to JFK!

Jacobs Pickles On the way to my gate at the JetBlue terminal in JFK, having time for a quick lunch before departure, decided to try Jacob's Pickles. The space was well lit and lots of seating with charging outlets even at the bar. We saw two seating at the end of a high top which is convenient for our carryon bags and were seated right away by a very nice server. Ordered the Jacob's Burger, it was extraordinarily good, straight out of the kitchen warm, sweet high quality beef topped with onions, pickles of course and cheese served on a brioche bun with enough substance to hold the very moist hamburger and its toppings. I am tempted to try their NYC location when I get home.

It's hard to find good help. That's the bottom line, service was horrible ,because the bartender/server was rude. Ambience was three stars and the food was what you would come to expect from an airport restaurant that's a take on a really amazing restaurant. What really shined was the manager? She was understanding and I understood that it's hard to get good help. I'd actually like to thank her because she was the one highlight from the whole experience.

The food was ok. Nothing special. Just save the money. McDonalds makes a better food.

    Those pickles are amazing!!!

New York style pickles from a New Yorker got a big thumbs up! A few unique flavors and tried and true favorites too.

Below average service. Below average food. Highly overpriced. I DO NOT recommend this place at all.

This was the closest dining establishment that served alcohol by our gate, so we stopped by. It is pretty small and cramped, but we managed to find two seats along the window facing the planes. It was hard to fit in the area as people tend to put bags on seats, etc. Plus the walkway to the kitchen is right there so you feel like you are in the way. Food wise, I liked my salad. Could have done without the chips as I really just wanted greens, veggies, and protein. For $26, it was obviously on the smaller side, but hey, it's an airport resto. My drink was all right. Kinda weak in the liquor and spice department, but fine for sipping. My friend seemed to enjoy his food and cocktail. I wish there were more options in this area of the airport. But this will do if I want a drink. REVIEW #4023

You can debate the nuances of each-- Centurion's food is better, Capital One's is larger and has a cheese monger, Ess a Bagel, and better cocktails. But compared to the sort of lounges that don't have their own bathrooms and offer nothing more than some bananas and cereal, you really could do worse. The Sapphire lounge in LGA is larger and prettier, but they pretty much offer the same amenities. The bathrooms have been clean every time I've visited, save for one time. The menu isn't vast but there's a little buffet station with fresh fruit and hot food, as well as a made to order menu with full sized portions. Sometimes the food has been quick, and other times it has taken a while, so you really should give yourself some buffer time if you're trying to get something from the made to order menu. The food is fine. I've visited enough times to say that the folks who work here have been so warm and nice each time, checking in and asking guests how they're doing. Garbage is cleaned up immediately, so it's a pretty well oiled machine in there. You can bring up to 2 guests and any additional guests cost just $27 more, which I'd say it's worth it, particularly if you have a long layover and will have a couple of drinks.
