Ordered the half shrimp / half fish basket from Caribbean Ice online and added onion rings. The order was scheduled for pickup at 5:00 PM, but when we got there, the place was packed. They were clearly slammed, so we didn't get our food until about 5:20. Not a huge deal, just something to know if you're going during the dinner rush. Got home and realized they gave us fries instead of onion rings. A little disappointing, but thankfully the food itself made up for it. The shrimp and fish were both fried just right -- crispy, not greasy, and full of flavor. The homemade tartar sauce was the real standout. You can tell it's made in-house, and it paired great with everything. All in all, the food was solid even with the mix-up. We'll definitely be back, just maybe a little earlier next time. read more

A big menu that includes a lot of great choices with nice portions at really reasonable prices. And your dog is welcome on their outside deck! Nothing fancy but pleasant. Good fresh food served here. The burgers are juicy and flavorful and it's made to order. Snowballs are good too. The Sunday bbq is a must try, it's huge with multiple options and can easily feed 2-4 ppl, depending how hungry you are, and it's good, not quantity over quality. It's really good. They also have some great dinner specials too, that change daily, so be sure to inquire about that. Dessert brownies are bomb!! Overall the menu is great, the staff was friendly, and there is a nice variety. Their biggest negative is rather than wrap their hot dogs and sandwiches in breathable paper, they wrap in a foil wrapper. Got home and hot dog buns and burger buns steamed into a chewy mess. Several other reviews mentioned to go orders were bad. Hopefully they'll catch on and wrap orders in paper rather than foil. read more

What about the private message from your son (co-owner) inviting me to return to Caribbean Ice that night for a fight just because I submitted a Facebook negative review? Really, what business does that? I'm a business owner myself, well known in the community, that employs several young citizens myself. I would never treat my clients the way you did to me just for making a complaint. How can you stay in business like that? Previous to this event, I was a loyal customer to Caribbean Ice, that at times, purchases food two to three times a week. Is this how you treat your loyal returning clients? Anyway, this particular time, when I placed an order over the phone and the provided order time was 5:15, and the food wasn't ready until 6:00. I believe the customer has a right to make a complaint, and that's what I did, make a complaint with a little tone, no swear words at all. I know how hard food providers work and little do you know about me, I'm the first to show my appreciation for good food and service by paying as much as 20 to 30 percent tips. Next time, you may want to talk to your customer instead of taking someone's word! My first review was spot on. As a consumer, it's my duty to warn others about businesses like yours handle complains. The worse service ever and the owner is so rude she tells everyone with complaints to never come back. Then she acts like she is some type of royalty of this town when she tells people "Do you know who we are?" I know who you are, you are the restaurant with bad service and a owner who thinks she is self entitled and everyone should bow down to her. There's always a wait for your food, but good food takes time to prepare! Especially working from those small kitchen. Caribbean Ice routinely screws up orders taken over the phone. I won't lie, their foods really good, but that's not worth a flip if you get your burger dressed wrong half the time. My wife has food allergies and has gotten some orders in with cheese enough that she refuses to order from there anymore. Usually I order a spice burger, but just tonight I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and received a plain cheeseburger with no bacon. What's the point? Other establishments can get this right. Amazing service customer service's, I went to Caribbean Ice on my lunch break and had trouble with my credit card, they allowed me to get my food. The next day I returned to pay for my lunch and went home, the following morning the manager himself called me to tell me that I over payed for my meal and he was coming to my job to bring me my change. Both my mother and my brother raved about this place, further confirming their insanity for me. I think people only go here because it is one of the only places to get food on that end of the opposite side of the bayou. Also, they have Dippin Dots, hadn't seen those since I was last in a mid 90's mall. Next all of our sides were just frozen crap you get from Sysco. Now as for these so called burgers... THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE WORST BURGER I'VE EVER HAD. After looking at yelp and google reviews its clear that people only think this is awesome because the best thing they had prior to this crap is McDonalds. The patty looked like they had just cut a slice from the end of a tube of ground meat and cooked it till it turned grey and died then threw it onto some crumbling crap they called "jalepeno" bread. There were airholes in this gray patty. I ordered a mushroom swiss burger on jalepeno bun with only lettuce and tomato. It came with lettuce, no tomato, onions, and mustard. The whole setup fell apart within two bites. Had the meal been worth a spoon, I would have used one, but after the collapse it was not long until I decided to put it out of its misery. My boyfriend's cheeseburger received the mustard and ketchup he asked to not receive and my mother got a wrap instead of the pita she ordered. AGAIN WE COULD SEE THESE THINGS BEING CORRECTLY ENTERED INTO THE POS!
