This place is permanently closed when I went here. The pictures of food looked good online though. Hope I can try it sometime

We started with the vegetable spring rolls, which were crisp, fresh, and served with a flavorful agave, ginger and sriracha sauce. It was the perfect light appetizer. For our main dishes, we ordered two wraps, the Thai Noodle Wrap with tofu and the Island Time Wrap with chicken. Both were absolutely delicious. The Thai Noodle Wrap had just the right amount of heat from the blackberry habanero drizzle and a creamy balance from the spicy peanut sauce. The Island Time Wrap was bright and tropical with pineapple, basmati rice, and a fantastic ginger teriyaki flavor. We loved that everything was customizable, clearly labeled with gluten-free options, and cooked fresh right in front of us. The kiosk ordering system was quick and easy, and our server Mark T. made sure everything came out perfectly. Urban Wok has such a fun and modern vibe with food that's flavorful, healthy, and totally crave-worthy. We'll definitely be back.

I've gotten two build-your-own style stir fries here and they honestly tasted great. I got one with dumplings tossed in there and those dumplings were satisfying too. This is quick, satisfying food. I came in this last time because I got an email that advertised "$.75 chicken wings". That was misleading; you still had to buy them in quantities of at least 6. I wanted to mix and match a few to try their flavors, but that didn't appear to be an option. Also not an option was using the remainder of my gift card to pay for part of the order. Suckering people out of a few bucks from a giftcard is a scam that does not sit well with me. Also their machines (you order from a screen at the counter & they bring it to you at your seat) had a lot of trouble reading my giftcard. Maybe avoid their giftcards. Okay but the people there are friendly and they seem to be working hard to get your order quickly. And again, it all tasted great. I got their jalapeno sauce on the side for one of them and it was very yummy, but it was also yummy without it. When you select your ingredients for a build-your-own, additional vegetables that weren't requested turn up in the mix. I don't know if it's an on-purpose thing for flavor reasons or that it's just hard to wrangle diced red peppers and cabbage, but take note. One more thing... there is a water cooler that appears to be there for you to have some free water. But the water is... not transparent? Is there lemon in there? Cucumber? Horseradish? It looked grimy and unappetizing and so I didn't pour myself a cup of water even though I was thirsty.

HAVAN-A-MAZING LUNCH…read more If a top-tier Cuban sandwich is what you seek, look no further than Guava's. Located a mile northwest of Minneapolis Int'l Airport, this quaint Cuban restaurant was highly recommended to us by a friend.  We stopped here after visiting Como Park Zoo and enjoyed a great lunch as well as some A+ plane-watching, since Guava's is directly in the flightpath of landing jets. I started with a Bent Paddle pilsner ($6.50), and my wife got a michelada ($8) which she said was a good value and "made the right way".  There's a decent amount of seating inside as well as tables outside, although it can get noisy at times due to the nearby airport. The Cubano ($18) was one of the best either of us has ever tried: pulled pork, ham, salami, pickles, mustard, mayo, and Swiss cheese on grilled panini bread.  It came with lightly salted plantain chips and a small cup of house hot sauce.  Amazing, no notes.   5/5 The lechon asado rice bowl ($16) was equally terrific.  Delicious roasted pork - including some magical burnt ends that had me in ASMR heaven - came with black beans and maduros (sweet plantains) over cilantro rice.  Fabulous mingling of flavors and textures.  5/5 We got a side of Yuca frita ($7) w/cilantro aioli but these were almost an afterthought; my wife and I were too obsessed with our entreés to pay much attention to these lil' starchy sticks.  They have tres leches cake for dessert but we opted for a flan ($7) instead, and it was OK. * TL;DR * I'm glad that Guava's didn't try anything too clever with the Cubano, preferring to keep it classic and focus on quality. The aesthetics inside are charming, soft mint green walls with a mix of white counters and darker wood.  Staff were friendly and the food came out relatively fast.  They have a nice selection of local draft beers and plenty of great Cuban coffee. I would absolutely recommend Guava's to anyone in the Minneapolis-St Paul area, especially if they're interested in trying one of the best Cuban sandwiches of their lives.

Both parking and the restaurant are not very handicapped friendly. Do not go if you are expecting a neat, tidy cafe, it is not at all fancy. Yes, there is writing everywhere, walls, ceilings, air ducts, ceiling, even seats and hanging lamps. The restaurant itself is very small. There are about 45ish seats inside, including the bar area, and just a few tables outside. I ordered a Cafe Con Leché coffee and mango pancakes. The coffee was sweeter than expected, but had good coffee flavor. The mango pancake was excellent. The buttermilk flavor was strong enough that you could actually taste it, which I liked very much. There were lots of mango chunks in the pancake and mango purée on top. I ordered the medium pancake, which was about 6 inches, next time I may order the large. My partner ordered a house coffee, Cubano Sandwich and medium pancake. The coffee was a pretty standard cup of coffee. He said the Cubano was amazing. The roast pork was delicious, the mustard and pickle complement it well, and the black beans were very flavourful. The beans seemed to be house made, not canned. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The food came out very fast. When we arrived around 10:30 there were several empty tables, but by the time we left there was a line to be seated. Seems to be a popular place, which is well deserved.

The Pan Con Lechon was really the star, although the rope vieja was a close second. The pork was incredibly tender with excellent flavor. One minor note: the yuca fries were a little light on portion size. That said, we left pleasantly full and very satisfied overall. I wanted to really love this place but unfortunately the flavors just weren't there. The restaurant is fun decor and service is friendly and efficient; they do an excellent job. Our granddaughters ordered mango, passionfruit, citrus, rhubarb drinks, soda. The drinks were thick and overwhelmingly sweet. Adding some sparkling water to it did help. As far as food; The food came promptly, but the flavors were not there. The Brussel sprouts came with a caramelized onion jam which was way too sweet and overpowered all the other flavors. Very disappointing. The shrimp aguachile was extremely soupy with overpowered spice, making it unable to taste the shrimp. The plantain chips were thick and hard, rather tasteless. The arepas were a little more flavorful but really wouldn't recommend any particular one that we tried. The only hit was the black bean empanadas, extremely great flavor, just a hint of spice served with pickle cabbage. Yum. We should just have had four orders of those.
