Nice little place to get a very reasonably priced and delicious meal. This is set up like a fast food restaurant where you order at the counter. There are a few small tables. The interior is painted a bright, sunny yellow and they have Caribbean music playing. Beef patties and chicken curry patties are already prepared and you can grab them and go. Other items on the menu, like the shrimp and rice my husband ordered, took about 20 minutes to make. Don't miss the homemade ginger beer, it was delicious. One thing I didn't love, although we ate in, everything was still served in styrofoam. Overall, if you're in the island mood this is a nice little stop.

We've been wanting to try this place out for awhile and we finally had the chance! Great find, especially around the Jackson/Howell area since there aren't many awesome family run ethnic foods down here! And, we love Caribbean food! Place is family run, food tasted fresh, and the flavors tasted just like how we remembered it in Jamaica. Fiancé ordered the jerk chicken - this came with stewed cabbage, rice and beans, and a piece of a plantain. He said the jerk was really good. It had a kick to it, but not too much that no one can handle. I on the other hand, ordered the ox tail - I loved it! Meat was literal melting off the bone, just the way I like it! The rice and beans were pretty good too. The stewed cabbage was cooked well. Honestly, I think I could've just ate the ox tail all by itself!! We also ordered a beef patty - yummy in our tummies!! Just like Jamaica!!!! The portions are very filling! We both got smalls but had enough food to feed a family of 4! Can't imagine how big the large portion is! If you come here, come hungry! The prices were really good too!!! And there's a 10% discount for anyone in the military, cops, and firefighters. We will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu!

This food is delicious. Rice and beans, vegetables, plantain and curry goat combo was flavorful and full of Caribbean vibes

Plain and simple, do not order from here. Tonight we had ordered a large oxtail. A large jerk chicken, a large fried chicken, two side orders of Mac and cheese, and a side order of plantains. The chicken in both dishes were over cooked. The oxtails are the only thing giving this restaurant a single star. Them alone would have been a nice dish, instead we got three sub par portions (For sure not larges) with massive portions of converted starchy rice with an odd aftertaste and a signature Caribbean cabbage side. The plantains were not cooked at all and very very oily. The Mac and cheese seemed like cooked elbow pasta mixed with cheap shredded cheese thrown in last minute along with bell peppers. Pictures to follow. Do yourself a favor, do not Order from here ever. 50$ down the drain I woulda rather tied it to a balloon and let it fly away. This is not a review to put down the establishment but a sign to the owner you should either change recipe or cooks or retire from the business as this was not worth a single penny

Not the best Caribbean food out there. I recently moved to Jackson, and I was surprised to see a Caribbean restaurant in the area, so I decided to try it out. I ordered a beef patty, and a jerk chicken dinner. The chicken was EXTREMELY dry, and the rice and cabbage both lacked flavor. There are a couple of restaurants not too far away (freehold, south amboy) that are amazing. I wanted to like this place, but coming from a Caribbean background, I didn't find this to be authentic.

I love island cuisine! The oxtails here are amazing! The beans that the oxtails are cooked with are great. I really enjoyed my lunch today!

Fairly wide menu and the food I have tried was good. A Little pricey though, but I'd recommend them

It's a great local spot with delicious food at good prices. If you're looking for fast service that still has quality meals, this is a good place to go. When you order, there are specials at the counter to check out. The most popular dish (that I've noticed over the years) is the Hawaii 5-0 with either grilled or crispy chicken. When I went the other day, everyone in my family decided to try something new--the Sushi Tuna Wrap. Wait time was 20 minutes and there are TVs around to kill time as you wait. You can also self-serve your own fountain drinks at this time. We were nervous that there wouldn't be much tuna but were pleasantly surprised when each wrap had a good ratio of tuna to other ingredients. Each wrap was also consistent--one didn't look better or have more or less tuna than the other. Every meal comes with chips and salsa which always add a nice touch. As stated, Fins is a great local spot for a quick bite and I will definitely continue going back.

Service is always friendly fast and prompt I've been here over a dozen times and am always greeted when I walk in and helped immediately when I get to the counter. My ONLY critique is every time I eat at the restaurant the tables are so sticky! To the point where my sleeve was stuck to it today. Just something for the staff to be aware of. Other than that no complaints I'll continue eating here for lunch time and time again!

We started with the Mexican street corn on the cob -- sweet, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. (could have been hotter in temp though). I ordered the bowl version of the Truffle Burrito, and it was incredible. The portion was huge, so I couldn't even finish half (hello, amazing leftovers for lunch!). My boyfriend had three mixed street tacos and loved the chicken taco the most -- which says a lot, since he isn't usually a chicken guy. Service: Our server, Antonio, was the standout of the night. He's easily the best server I've had in years. Friendly, genuine, and full of pride in his work -- we honestly thought he was the owner! He turned a great meal into a memorable experience. Ambiance: The ladies' bathroom was spotless and beautifully decorated -- a nice touch that shows attention to detail. My only small complaint would be that the lighting in the dining area could be a bit softer. The chandeliers give off a cozy, romantic vibe, but the brighter lights took away from the mood a bit. Even though it's a bit of a drive from Brick, we'll definitely be coming back -- happily skipping over the fancy downtown spots through Freehold for the best food and friendliest service in Marlboro!

At first you needed to go up to the register to place your order, but the last time I did a sit down here they had someone taking our orders. It was a nice game changer in my opinion. As you can tell, I have tried multiple items on their menu and all I can say is yummmmmmm! They are definitely on my top places to go to for birria type foods! They even have a birria Ramen, which sounds deliciously bad for you! Here's another piece of high praise...my fiance also loves the Birria grilled cheese....like a lot! Apparently, it is one of his too favorite foods he has tried in general! I will have to agree with him in that out of the Birria items I have tried thus far, the grilled cheese is my favorite!
