We then waited about 20 minutes for the Nutella crepe before asking our waitress about it, only to find out the order had never been sent to the kitchen. We also ordered breakfast with sourdough toast, scrambled eggs, and sausage. Instead of scrambled eggs, we were served hard-fried eggs, so that order had to be remade as well. It was frustrating because everyone around us seemed to receive exactly what they ordered, while our orders were either forgotten or prepared incorrectly. Mistakes can happen, but having multiple errors with the same table made for a disappointing experience. They also had daily specials written on the chalkboard. When I got to the counter and asked about them, the waiter told me they were no longer available and wasn't sure why they were still posted. A woman from the kitchen then came out and erased the entire chalkboard. It was confusing and made it seem like the specials should have been removed before customers saw them. The manager on duty was very kind and apologized for the errors.

Be patient as it takes a while to receive orders. They are known for their traditional danish Æbleskiver's which are essentially pancake balls. They have a variety of flavors and toppings, sweet and savory. They also have a lunch menu as well as breakfast items besides the pancake balls and an assortment of drinks, juices, coffees, housemade flavored waters. I got the beach babe water, very strawberry forward. I will try something different next time. The Æbleskivers were well prepared and my entire family enjoyed them. I'm not a big fan of pancakes, I prefer a crispy waffle. The stand out of our experience however was the friendly service from the woman taking our orders. She was so welcoming and talkative even though they were very busy. It was our first time here and she treated us like local friends. Once she spotted our dog she immediately searched for her dog treats and offered one. While we were waiting for our food I asked for a small cup of water for our dog. A minute later the woman who took our order walked out with a large, clean dog bowl filled with cool water. It really put a special touch to this darling place. We had seen on other yelp reviews that this wasn't the cleanest place, and that is certainly true. The day we visited, the dining room was filled with flies. They were so pesky, that it made it difficult to sit and wait for our food because they just wouldn't leave us alone. A fly strip or two may have helped quite a bit with this issue. We sat at a low table, but there was bar seating as well, which most of the locals chose to use. Our table was a wood surface coated with a clear varnish that was sticky to the touch and likely not very cleanable. The condiments were very dirty and gross. We chose not to use them with our food. There was only one waitress working and one cook, and there were 3 other people besides us dining in. The food still seemed extra slow coming out. It appeared that the cook only worked on one order at a time, so we watched as each patron was served until ours came out. I ordered the Malibu Chicken Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries. My sandwich didn't really have much flavor, but it tasted fine. My fries were not too greasy as can be the case with sweet potatoes. I was hungry and devoured my meal.
