They pair especially well if you want slow down to really enjoy your beverage, be off the phones and just take in the coziness/hustle of a coffee shop. Not a bad thing at all, that's just the vibe here. I got an iced coffee from their specials menu and it hit the spot. I'd get it again except that I don't quite remember its deal. I also got a danish that was fine, but sometimes I feel like this type of coffee shop has a pastry case just to give you the bare minimum to eat while you're drinking what you're really there for. They have a cute patio that feels like someone's back yard, but a lot more seating is available inside. I'm glad I finally tried a Spyhouse and I'll likely return.

The matcha almost tasted completely fruity with no actual matcha taste, to the point where it came off more like a smoothie or juice than a caffeinated drink. (Full Disclosure: Caribou Coffee remains my favorite (2nd wave) coffee chain.) The store has the northern MN cabin feel, Caribou-branded merch, and their bagged coffee, in 1 lb. packaging. The baristas were friendly and helpful, patiently explaining the differences in beverages. I ordered the hot mocha, and chose real dark chocolate for the mocha portion. In my opinion, and I'm not alone, is that Caribou Coffee serves up the best hot mocha, and as a bonus, they place a couple of chocolate-covered espresso beans on the lid. Plenty of other creative mocha options are available. Each of my family members enjoyed their beverages. No food was purchased on our visits, but the store offers a selection of bagels and sandwiches. The only downside to this store is its location in a strip mall, and it's a bit smaller in size as a result. MISC Ford Parkway was named for the Ford truck plant that used to be along this road.

Staff was friendly and asked for my milk preference. Parking is usually a bit of a problem, although I've never had to park farther than a block away. Many people bike to the coffee shop or next door neighbor, Longfellow Grill. The patio is the place to be. Lots of cyclists, runners and walkers passing by. Lots of outdoor eating and talking. I always enjoy my visits here.
