Nice convenient location near our house. Service is always good and consistent. We do not use the drive-through on a regular basis but when we do, it works very well. If we're planning on going in for coffee, we prefer this Caribou location to the Starbucks across the street, which has more of a cold corporate feel. I checked in to visit with a friend and grab some coffee. It's a typical Caribou Coffee, which is good. The coffee tastes great and the baristas were wonderful. It sits in a little harder spot to get to easily sometimes, but they do have enough parking around the area. I've visited this shop on a number of occasions and the people are always friendly and the setting is always easygoing. It's got a fireplace right in the middle, so convenient for more than just a couple people to sit around. read more

Terrible experience. Stood at the front for 3 minutes before I was helped(not busy). All I wanted was a hot chocolate. The lady told me they didn't have whole milk, so I opted for half 2% half 1/2 n 1/2 with whipped cream. The drink tasted terrible. The whipped cream tasted like oatmeal and I couldn't taste any chocolate in the drink. Waste of money and time. read more

Updated review...ordere the mini donut muffins for pick up today. They were absolutely disgusting. The description says "cake batter donut accented with nutmeg, dipped in butter and rolled in cinnamon sugar" that was definitely NOT what I got. We got these dry and very bitter little mini muffins, NO butter flavor, NO cinnamon sugar on them. Just plain, dry bitter and disgusting. read more

AVOID...drive through when you mobile order! Pros: Perks Cons: mobile orders, drive thru, staff, convenience. I was the only car in the drive through and had placed a mobile order on my way to work. I pulled up and the lady said come on up. When she handed me my order she said,"We do not allow mobile orders to be picked up in our drive thru. Next time you will have to come in to get your order." Why would I want to come in after placing a mobile order when I am on my way to work and want to drink my coffee on the way? I will not go there again. read more

I come to this Caribou location frequently. The staff is friendly, although the the service is a little slow. I'm sure with time and training that this could be improved. The atmosphere and decor are pleasing. At times the place, including the bathroom could use a a little tidying up. Hope this helps, because I really like it here. read more

We stop here twice a year on our way up to Grand Marais, it's a ritual of sorts and the caffeine boost gets us through the end of a very long drive. Its corporate, but they have great drink options and a convenient drive thru, and the fireplace inside is very quaint and the staff is always very friendly. read more

Caribou is wonderful top to bottom. It doesn't matter what location you go to. The place smells great, the energy is positive and the staff always greats you with a smile. This place is no exception. I stop at this location often as it is right on my way to work. Today set it off as the worst location I gave been to. So prior to this experience I would have maybe given it two or three stars . Multiple times I have ordered a breakfast sandwich from there and something had been messed up. It has been forgotten to be made multiple times as I stand there awkwardly. Today that happened because they handed mine off to some other customer and after 10 min I was asked if " I was waiting for something". when I told him he said " oh shoot" and proceeded to re make it, during that time that woman who took my sandwich came back in yo the store, annoyed because she was giving the wrong sandwich. They then handed me the sandwich she left and came back with and said " oh here's yours, sorry". Now, I have worked in many food places throughout my years of life including fast food places , and I know once someone else touches the food, let alone remove it from the store, clearly handles it because she knows it was the wrong sandwich, would be thrown out for sanitation. AND THEY WANTED ME TO TAKE IT! And when I said no, I wanted a new one, they looked at me like I was a big floppin B word.(I was doing quite well keeping my composure ) Also multiple times I have revived burnt coffee. read more

If you happen to go to the location on Hwy 96 & 35E in White Bear Lake you should know that they have a fruit fly problem that is not being taken seriously. They have been cited twice for already, yet continue to sell items that bugs crawl on. We went in there the other day and ordered a treat from the display, when the cashier removed the treat a swarm of flys lifted, we got a refund and asked what the action plan was for the fly problem. He replied "They have been out to bug bomb already but looks like they need to come back." He did not remove any of the treats. The following day I spoke to the manager and she said they have been dealing with this problem for over a year. When I commented that it isn't right for them to sell items with bugs crawling on it her reply to me was "The department of Health has been here and it is fine. It is no different than being at a picnic and a fly landing on your food and you shooing it away." I didn't believe this to be true so I contacted the Ramsey County Environmental Health and spoke with the inspector who has actually on their case. She stated that they cannot be serving food that bugs have been crawling on. I have returned on multiple tomes and they continue to serve food from the case that they are aware has bugs in it. read more

Wow, I just left this location a while ago and I must say it needs a new manager. Rebecca provided horrible customer service, and when I asked for the name of the manager she said that she was the manager. So I asked for the number of her manager. She provided me with a name and telephone number. I went outside and sat in my car to call the number- no one remotely connected with Caribou Coffee- in fact, a private home number. Wow, your customer service is so bad that you give a customer a fake number? I checked at another Caribou for a district/regional manager number. The second Caribou provided me with the same name, but a completely different number for the district/regional manager (and when I called it, it worked!). I worked for Starbucks for 5 years. I understand the frustration of customer service. I would not recommend this location. Btw, my order was a large iced latte. I didn't feel like I was asking too much. read more

I like most Caribous. I find this one to be poorly managed.most recently when I inquired about the 2 for$22 offer they said it was no longer offered yet there was a sign that showed 2 for $22 When I asked them to honor it they said they couldn't. When I asked them why they didn't take the sign down they said they couldn't. Go figure. Starbucks just opened across the street. read more

This store is quite exceptional, I really enjoy some of the employees and how cheerful they are. One thing that really brings down the ratings of this store for me is the supervisors Tyler and Scott. Tyler constantly has chewing tobacco in his lip, and spits it in the front sink which is unsanitary, and Scott is just rude. I don't know how the other team members can deal with them read more

sorry caribou, this location isn't up to par. hate the up-selling on every drive thru order. please don't push your food in the drive up lane. it slows up the pickup line. the milk in the latte is more often overheated than steamed/frothed at this location. when I pay $5 for a cup of coffee I expect it to taste good. BTW, I got a survey slip and completed it. I checked the box that I would like to be contacted. two weeks ago and it hasn't happened yet. what's up with that? This is my regular coffee stop because the staff are always friendly and efficient -- no complaints ever about service or product. I mostly ignore the hand-crafted drinks because I like my coffee plain and strong, and am never disappointed. Bakery products are tasty, as are sandwiches. Perks program is a bonus for regulars like me and I have fun with the trivia question as well. read more

I stop at this caribou quite regularly and am now starting to ask myself why I provide business here. In the last few months, I've ordered the exact same coffee and have only gotten it right once - maybe twice (assuming I may have forgotten at least one other time). Today I ordered my usual coffee - always a large. She handed me a medium and when I asked if it was mine because I ordered a large the response was, " it's exactly what you ordered just in a smaller glass. It won't make any difference - I can put it in a larger glass of it will make you feel better about it". I then asked, "so if I'm understanding you there is no extra milk in a large from a medium - so why would you charge more for a large." She said, I can also a shot of extra milk in it too if that would make you feel better, but there is barely any difference". So folks for a $6 coffee apparently there is no difference between a medium and a large they are just charging you more for the sake of doing so and then making it sound like you are complaining because you didn't get what you asked or paid for. Customer service and ethics need to improve here. I've been patient long enough - no more business here. read more
