Time to update this Starbucks since the last review was written in mask wearing days and I thought a waxed floor was worth writing about. Hey the mask was probably cutting oxygen to the brain. I was still greeted with a smile and quickly gave my order, did the scan and pay which takes 2 sec, step to the right and drink handed to me a minute later. Hmm people still waiting for their order and I got to walk in and out. The store was busy especially with the drive through as well a walk ins. I'm glad to see they keep enough staff to handle a rush and baristas remain in good spirits giving the place a cheerful vibe. read more

I've never had a bad experience at this location. Sometimes the drive thru can be a little bit backed up; I notice this when the cars in front of me have ordered multiple frapps, which take longer to make. So, the wait makes sense. I always have some substitutions or add-ons when I order. This location ALWAYS gets them right! As a person with allergies, this is so so important and appreciated. I've also ordered inside and had good experiences. I used to study inside sometimes, but I haven't in like two years so I can't speak for how the atmosphere is like. read more

07/19/2024 visit. The team had a warm and friendly aura. Even with the global order-ahead app crash, I didn't feel chaos or negativity. I hope people set aside their inconveniences, and show patience and compassion for their barista's. We are lucky they show up to work and continue to serve us. My friends and I went through the drive though at about 9am, their drinks came out good, but mine was an utter disaster. The person at the window first gave me an iced sugar cookie latte with whole milk which is what I ordered, but they gave me the incorrect size. They originally gave me a grande when I paid for and ordered a venti. The person at the window seemed very upset that I corrected the mistake. He then proceeded to rudely give me a venti, when I tried it, I could tell that they just added water to the grade to make it a venti. This was very disappointing considering I paid for coffee and not water. It would be nice if the baristas could correct their mistake and not be rude about it and actually remake my drink and not just add water to it. I don't know why evey time I come here, that when I order my iced tea lemonaid or açaí refresher, it's very unflavored and weak; first of all it's in a very strange location. But when I order the same iced tea from the Starbucks on the other side of the highway it taste how it should, not like watered down "sweetened Iced tea". The main road was under construction and wasn't aware of the road closures to the Starbucks I wanted to go (on the other side of the highway) I was brought to this location in some strange office park with a weird enternece and exit that aren't on the main roads. I would definitely find a different way around the construction next time I need to get to that Starbucks that knows how to make sweetened iced tea no matter what flavor it is instead of being served disappointing drinks read more

This is my Starbucks! Is it the closest Starbucks to my house? Probably not but its pretty close and its worth the little extra time because every time I visit, the people working here are so nice and friendly. Not just one of them but all of them. Interacting with people who actually like their job or at least do a really good job of pretending. can be uplifting on a hectic day. The drinks have always been spot-on, They don't have dog treats like Caribou, but on occasion, a dog loving barista will give my Teddi a little "pupachino"-whipped cream in a tiny Starbucks cup. "Orange mocha Frappucino"- I always think about that from Zoolander when I pull up at a coffee shop. I don't drink coffee, but once in a great while I'll stop off for a mocha something or other. Big fan of the drive thru- because I'm way too lazy to get out of my car for a drink I sort of like. Their frappucino is not bad and usually satisfies my craving for some mocha-y delight. This is also a good place for the old last minute christmas gift around the holidays. Too bad they can't send that through the drive thru. Now that's lazy on my part. THE Best Starbucks ever! Best service you will ever find!! Great location! Premium in every way!!

A good experience at Starbucks is still pretty generic. One that meets all the requirements and is a nice experience still caps at about a 3-star rating for me, 4 if the service is really exceptional. Hence the 3-star rating here. This Starbucks is nice enough - they have a small patio area that, although it's smack in between the 36 service road and Fairview, is still pretty nice on a warm day. The baristas are neutral/pleasant, the drinks are pretty consistent. Seating is slightly limited because this location is TINY, but the bonus is that this location is a bit more out-of-the-way than the Starbucks on the other side of Fairview next to Rosedale Mall, so the drive-thru line is usually less packed (yes there are two Starbucks a stone's throw away from each other; they're multiplying seemingly by binary fission around here). If you need drive-thru coffee, I recommend Mudslingers on Lexington and County B, and if you want a nice place to sit and read or work, I recommend the Grateful Table on Fairview and Terrace Dr. But hey, sometimes you need a frapuccino, are conveniently next to one of Starbucks's many locations, or your aunt gave you a gift card. I get it. Try this one for a quick drive thru, and the one on the other side of 36 by Rosedale for more fun baristas and arguably better seating. read more

Decent place to get work done. More quiet than most Starbucks in the area. Just writing this because I'm to shy to actually talk to the manager, but they have a fruit fly problem. Literally see 6 flies around me and it's hard to focus with them flying around you. Even found one in the bathroom. Great friendly staff though. read more

The store itself is rarely open. Drive through always backed up and usually takes about 25-30 min to go through. Sometimes (only sometimes?) you can pick up a mobile order in store but sometimes they won't let you. I thought he was a staffing issue but they have at least 6 employees in store at any given time. On those rare days you are allowed to order inside, they treat you like trash! Will do 4-5 drive through orders while you just stand in line. They literally have employees sitting around while two people work and about 20 customers wait!! read more

Mmmm. Starbucks. I find myself here semi-often for reasons that don't really matter to you (nothing personal). However, you should know that I do keep coming back. That is what is important. They have a drive through if you are feeling extra lazy. It looks efficient, however I have never tried it. If you do, make sure to get non-fat for your lack of exercise. The counter is always friendly and efficient. I have never waited more than a couple of minutes for my drink(s). I must disclaim though, that I have not been here during 'peak' times. Maybe others disagree, but whatever the case, I will be back when my reasons allow me to be. read more

I swung through this location after a long day, and before I could get my wallet put away, my drink was ready. As usual, I return to places where the staff is good. Don't go to this place after 5pm if you're wanting a medium brew coffee. They are always out of medium brew after 5pm and ask for you to wait another minute or two (while in drive-thru) for medium brew. Also, they will not say sorry if they mess up on your drink when you go back to get your correct drink. Go to the Snelling and Fairview Starbucks down the street instead. read more

Not much to look at, kind of boxy, but it has a nice vibe inside. The staff is real nice and efficient. They play a good variety of music, and all in all, pretty chill atmosphere. Same coffee as in any Starbucks; real robust brewed coffee, solid espresso drinks. In any case, it's a great place to study. read more

If you are not going to go in, this would be rated higher. The staff is pleasant and was good about explaining why they couldn't serve coffee that day (hot water main issue). It isn't the best location for viewing. It is convenient for getting in and out for the drive thru if you are in a rush. Ordered 7 drinks all the same size 6 coffee and 1 hot chocolate and 7 pastries for a work event. The carriers were horribly flimsy and without handles- several close calls, the hot chocolate was not marked. Trying to find the guest speakers hot chocolate was a debacle. The pastries were all shoved into one small bag in their industrial wrapping. no plates were available, no napkins were in the bag. No to go creamers were available- I was told they never have them. They were kind enough to put some cream in a small to go cup. No sugar packets available. I had to ask. With the exception of the person who put the creamer in the cup it was clear that service was not part of the training program here. Every time I asked for anything sugar, carriers, plates that I was being a total pain. I've lived in Minneapolis/St.Paul for 11 years now and I conclude this is the best Starbucks in the metro. Everything I order is consistent - I know exactly how it's going to taste and for some reason, everything I order always tastes better than the other Starbucks (i.e. Brulee latte, white mocha, etc.). Caribou's overall in comparison, is super inconsistent - sometimes their Berry White Mocha is super amazing, other times, it's so nasty that I take 2 sips and have to dump the rest down the drain. This location is on my way to work every morning and the fact that there's always ~4 cars waiting in the drive-thru says in itself how favoured this location is. The biggest gripe I have however is the seating arrangement in this location - it is super tiny as in 90% of the tables are literally right next to the front counter. So when I come to this location, I always go through the drive-thru or order-out. read more
