A very popular drive thru. I got a small hot chocolate that was delicious. I got a sesame bagel with the garden veggie smear. It's an orangey color which I liked. It was really tasty, but scant for a whole bagel. Hell, for the mulit-millionaires they are, even an extra teaspoon might cut it, two would be better. Friendly service just the same. read more

This place is always busy but has really friendly staff and the bagels are great. The drive through can take forever especially if everyone is ordering food too. The drinks here are pretty good, have ordered here many times and have only had one or two occasions where the drinks tasted a little odd. I would have given 5 stars if the service was a little faster. This Caribou also closes a little earlier than the one on White Bear which is a little annoying. read more

Admittedly, when I went here, the place was extremely busy. It was a Saturday morning. There were at least 7 people standing in line ahead of me. There weren't many open tables. Still, this place rocks! Here's why... It's a marriage made in Heaven. You can get your favorite hot Caribou beverages, and the amazingly tasty Einstein bagels or other sweet treats - cookies, gourmet bagels, cupcakes, muffins, and more. The restaurant is nicely laid out, with a fireplace and a lot of space for talking or working. It was pretty loud when we were here. I had a gourmet toasted bagel (cinnamon apple) with their scrumptious honey almond cream cheese. My tip would be to tell them you're eating it there, even if you aren't. Here's why. You'll get more cream cheese. If you order it to go, they'll put less cream cheese on it and it gets put back together, whereas if you eat in, they'll separate the two halves with plenty of cream cheese on both. We love caribou but this location is terrible. I avoid the drive through at all costs as it is always slow. I often see on their screen the drive through orders are running 15-20 min behind. The only thing that is consistent is the inconsistency. I can't remember the last time they got my order right. We've had to go back in to get orders fixed multiple times and even still had it made wrong. These are not difficult orders, usually just adding a flavor shot or whip cream. read more

It's a real bummer - you would think Caribou + Einstein bagels + a fantastic location would make me a regular. Nope. I want to like this place so much, but every time I've tried to give it another chance I regret it. I have waited 20-30 minutes at least four times for just coffee and a bagel with cream cheese - not even at peak hours. The line creeps forward at a glacier speed. Not sure what is going on, but their system and staff just do not seem prepared to handle a normal volume of orders. Also, not sure what is up with their bagels. I used to love Einstein's - but these are over baked, way too dark for plain bagels, weirdly dry, puffy, and foamy - more like a large dry roll than a bagel. I have actually been driving 20 minutes out of my way for decent bagels, passing right by this place that is less than a mile from where I live. read more

I am confused by the not so positive reviews of this location, as I have always had positive interactions with the staff, quick service and quality food and drinks. The coffee is always hot and the bagels are always fresh, so I am happy with the service I receive. The only criticism I could possibly have is that not everyone asks if you are a caribou perks member, so it's hit or miss whether or not you earn points for your purchase. They also open at 5 AM so it's very convenient for those of us who start work early and would like to swing through a drive-through to grab a drink on our way to work. It would be nice if they had their gourmet bagels available that early, however I understand that they are just opening and it does take time to bake. I'm not the type to leave a nasty review but this place needs to step it up in a handful of ways. The service is very slow. My typical experience is that I walk up to the counter to order and see multiple employees in the back, talking, completely unaware of my presence for a painfully long time. I decided to time it today and it was almost 2 min. That's just bad customer service. And this is not a one-time experience. It happens pretty much every time I come in and it's not busy. If it is busy then you can also expect to wait forever because the girl at the register moves like molasses and there will be a line. They mess up orders a lot. They'll put it on the wrong bagel, forget ingredients, etc. Once I ordered avocado toast and when I got it, it had the saddest little bit of avocado on it. I'm not exaggerating when I say I couldn't even taste the avocado. There wasn't even enough to cover the bagel and that was the only ingredient! These things are insignificant when they happen once but they are the norm for this place. Today I asked why there were no onions on the sandwich I ordered and was informed they didn't have onions because "the supplier had an incident" whatever that means... That's fine but please tell your customers that before they spend their money on a sandwich that they think will have onions on it. The coffee is just plain bad. It's very weak and tastes like it was brewed hours ago. If you like good coffee, do yourself a favor and go to Dunn Bros in the Festival next door. read more

I really enjoy their bagel sandwiches. I mean it is really convenient and plus I could just relax. Whether studying for a test or uanging out with family/ friends makes it worth a stop. This is a cool location and hybrid Einstein Caribou but the worst run and service I have ever seen. Inside or drive thru they are slow and always mass confusion with the workers on who is doing what. It is never the same people twice and a turnstile of teenage workers which is probably the issue. When it was in the strip mall Caribou was great, it's been a disaster since day one. They constantly run out of things early I The day and drive thru can be 15-20 minutes which is unacceptable. Owner must not care as a lot of other locals are disgusted with this place. I wish I could like this place but I have tried since they reopened with Einstein and just can't get over the awful service. It doesn't matter if you go in to the store or drive through, the wait is ridiculous for even basic menu items. The drive-thru line is always a minimum of ten minutes - you'd think I'd learned my lesson the first few times. I live very close and find myself attempting to give them another chance when I have more time - otherwise this is not my regular coffee shop. But today was the last straw. I went through the drive through, got to the menu board and was asked to wait a few moments. No problem (and no surprise). When they were ready, I placed my order. Nothing extreme, just a peppermint latte with almond milk. I was told they only have peppermint mochas from their holiday menu - um, ok? I asked if I could just get my regular peppermint latte (as I do throughout the year) as I didn't want the mocha since it has chocolate/dairy. She then told me lattes have dairy, so I reminded her that's why I asked for almond milk. Long pause. I asked if I could order the latte I asked for. She then said "yes". Ok, great. Back on track. Then she told me it would be $7.29!!! What?! Ugh. I rolled forward a few inches, as that's how far the line had moved, and sat in place for another 4-5 minutes. I couldn't take it - there were 4 cars ahead of me and knew this would turn into another 20 minute wait for my coffee. Admittedly, I left. I'm sorry for anyone behind me and if this screwed up their orders, but I gave it my last shot! The price was wrong. The service was clueless. The wait was ridiculous. And guess what? I ran over to neighboring Dunn Bros in Festival Foods and was in and out with my peppermint latte in 3 minutes. Sorry, Caribou. You've lost a customer. read more

They just act like they're really really busy and they don't have time to talk to you. Slam down your food tray and walk away. One of the guys there like a gray-haired chubby guy just made me feel like an absolute idiot because I gave them my perks number from like 5 years ago but I didn't remember what it was and he talked to the other people in line and said I'm sorry about that lady you shouldn't have to wait. Right in front of me! I saw back on the floor which I don't know if it was a cockroach or not because I'm not sure but it may have been and it didn't make me want to eat! My boyfriend got like a tiny tiny tiny little cup of potato salad it was like a French meal size portion. So we asked if it was right and they like begrudgingly put more in there. I had the egg and cheese and bacon Bagel which was really Bland and boring and when I got my coffee it was just like out of the question waiting for even a refill.... To top of really bad visit off the stuaff is just not helpful or I don't know they just don't have intelligence..... they ask you your name and forget it. So my order is under a completely other name which nobody could pronounce which is part of the reason I waited a long time for my meal which is not really okay because if you get a meal and a brew coffee you think they could at least give you the brew coffee if you're waiting for a million years to get some food. Then we went out to our motorcycle and it was just covered in birdshit it was disgusting!! 0ne of the other customers came up and said isn't nature great? So if you do go to this place which I don't recommend; don't park by the trees got some really well fed Birds. On a plus note.... the actual place is really nice now I remember when the Dunn Brothers was there and the bathrooms were just like old so it's it looks nice but it's really not good experience. Also there is only one place in the bathroom so I waited a long time outside to use the bathroom.It really shouldn't have took that long this whole little brunch yesterday probably took an hour and a half for coffee and bagels and then for some reason there was no Wi-fi . If I could rate this less, I would. Ordered a breakfast bagel that was served cold, like it was refrigerated cold so I had to go home and microwave it. When I did finally eat my sandwich a knife wasn't cleaned because I could taste cinnamon sugar through my ham Swiss and egg. On the plus side they didn't manage to screw up my plain iced coffee with almond milk. Let me start out by saying, I love Caribou. I love the food, I love the drinks, I love the atmosphere. Also, I usually am the last person to complain. I understand that people make mistakes and I try to be understanding. That being said I HATE this location. I've given them so many chances it's incredible, mostly because it's really the only location that is convenient between my house and where I work. I visit the store at least a few times per month, even though it's a little inconvenient with no drive-thru (I understand the location is tough, so I can get over that). Also, they seem to have a ton of people working there, not very busy most of the time, and yet still VERY slow. All of that I can get past.. it's not ideal, but it wouldn't stop me from visiting the store. However, what will stop me from visiting the store is that EVERY single order I've placed at this store has been incorrect in some way. Not sometimes, but every single time. It's infuriating when I get back to work with my order, open it up to find something other than what I ordered. They've also had to ask me how to make certain coffee drinks before (a macchiato). I'm sorry, but it's not my job to know how to make drinks, it's yours. It's probably $10 for coffee and breakfast with a tip for the baristas--I expect to get what I'm ordering! It's extremely disappointing, as I want to keep coming to this store. But I won't until things improve. The staff need some serious training that they must not be receiving. read more

Very disappointing experience in the drive through. It was 7:30am on a Tuesday morning. There was only one vehicle in front of me. I ordered two unsliced/untoasted bagels, cream cheese and a chai tea latte. I got my latte immediately and then waited nine minutes for two unsliced bagels and a tub of cream cheese. I was told the reason for the wait was that a large in house order for sandwiches came in and there was only one person making sandwiches, so I had to wait for those to be done. Sounds to me like you are a little understaffed, which I understand happens, but how about one of the other eight people standing there twiddling their thumbs goes and grabs me two bagels and a tub of cream cheese? read more

I work nearby and because it's convenient and I like the sandwiches, I've given them "another chance" too many times. Something is always missing from my order or they didn't make it as ordered. Last time, the sandwich was wrapped so loosely in greasy paper that it fell apart when I took it out of the bag. For the past two weeks, they've "run out of fruit" by 1 p.m. The worst part is that the cashier hands me the bag without a smile or "thank you." I cannot express how much I miss the old Caribou. They had great service, drinks were great, did not over charge, and had everything ready. This new one is a show. They have so many workers and they still manage to take 15 minutes to get you your drink. Today I thought I'd get a treat and get a campfire mocha and they gave me a regular coffee for the price of a campfire mocha. Disappointed. I love caribou & I'm so happy that they collaborated with Einstein Bagels to produce this amazing place. I enjoy coming in and getting my freshly brewed coffee and bagel before sitting down and reading my favorite book or doing a crossword puzzle. In the mornings it's very busy so there is an understandable wait but it is worth it because they serve really good coffee. It's a nice newly remodeled place & the bathrooms are always well taken care of. I will always go to this Coffee & Bagels because they have friendly, young staff who try their hardest. I try to tip them more because I know, from personal experience, how much hard work is put in while being a young food service worker. read more
