It has quite a bit of spread out seating to enjoy and isn't crowded by any stretch of the imagination. All in all I would highly recommend stopping by, if not just to see the adorable turtles.

The park is perfectly placed and laid out for events. Lot's of seating in the sun and shade, trail access, decent mix of shade cover and open sunny areas, plus it feels really safe. The trail that extends through this park is one of my faves. It is wide, flat, and gorgeous. I usually walk from here to where the Hollywood Hills wineries are, then back. Perfect flat walk for people with strollers, dogs, etc. The parking is limited- only about 15 spots. The baseball fields across the street aren't much better. I usually try to find parking at Woodin Creek or, if I have to, pay for the Schoolhouse District parking. A magical oasis in the middle of our sweet suburb!

The playground is great for kids aged 4-14. My little daredevil gave me a heart-stopping moment on the spinning climber, but thankfully she managed to hold on and avoid scraping her knee. Her sisters were beaming with joy, making it a fun-filled afternoon for all! A heads up: parking might fill up quickly, so plan accordingly. We actually took the local bus, which worked out great, so there's a convenient public transportation option available. The park borders the Sammamish River trail and offers a lovely view of Lake Sammamish from the walking trails. I recommend bringing a blanket or camping chairs - there's plenty of grassy space around the play area.

There are paved paths and clear routes to trails and the beach. We ended up walking them down to the river, which had a lovely sandy beach, which was such a surprise! There were benches and tables down there, which I am sure are very coveted in the summer season. For a nice fall day, this was the perfect spot! I would love to come back here with some takeout and enjoy a lovely meal on the river. Very dog friendly, great views, and awesome amenities (water fountain, showers, trails, easy signage, bathroom). What more could you want!

His nearest neighbors at the time were a group of Native Americans living along Lake Sammamish. Now that you've made Luke's acquaintance I invite you to experience the lovely park named in his honor. Just off Redmond Way and in the shadow of a high rise hotel, is a small parking lot that I've never seen fully occupied. The covered picnic area shelters several tables and the grassy area is perfect for lawn games or running children. Not far down the adjacent, paved Sammamish Trail is water access for splashing or communing with the water fowl, as well as a fishing pier for specially created those with disabilities. Fast food is available nearby if you forget your picnic lunch. Come, sit a spell and relax! I've always accessed this area from the Sammamish Slough Trail which runs alongside the slough, and I've always loved this grassy meadow area, just south of the Redmond Way bridge. There's a small stepped ramp for folks to walk their canoes or kayaks to the water, and a sweeping weeping willow across the slough to the west, with a picturesque picnic table nearby. The Landing itself, like the rest of the slough trail, has been renovated and updgraded a few years back. It still has a lovely trailed loop and expansive grassy area for folks to play frisbee or let their dogs run, but now is more tended too, and less "wild". During Redmond's annual "Redmond Lights" festival in December, the Landing here is ablaze with warming bonfires, XMas lights and singing choirs or entertainers. It's a lovely spot to break while biking or walking or jogging on the trail, to or from Marymoor or Redmond Town Center or the Woodinville wineries, etc.

It's a fun place for the little ones, they can see animals like pigs, bunnies, goats, chickens and…read moreponies. If you're lucky and get there during feeding time you can watch the process and ask questions, staff is super friendly! It's still a fun little stop to just get outside and enjoy some fresh air, and well, animal air lol. It has plenty of wide open space for groups to play or picnic. The little animal area is fun for some laughs. The sheep were all quiet until we walked away and then they had plenty to say! And come on, watching the workers walk the pig....plain old fun!!! We enjoyed ourselves, even if age wise we might be older than the normal farm animals crowd. We also walked down the super nice paved path by the horses. There is a little shelter down that way and a tire swing. There are trails here and there is a nice map when you come from the parking area. I liked this park long ago, and still do. It's a great quiet spot not too far from town to just hang out for a little fun.

This is a relatively untouched park. It consists of areas on the East and West sides of Juanita…read moreDrive. The East side is partially developed with 3 fully fenced baseball fields, a fourth baseball field, a soccer/lacrosse field, a gazebo, a kids play area, and an active beaver dam / pond. The trails are all classed as multi-use and enjoyed by hikers, dog walkers and mountain bikers. The west side of the park is a favorite of mountain bikers and has several trails with bike features. Denny Creek runs through the park. Part of this area had been know by local teens as the crash for years. In the 50's there had been an airport on top of Finn Hill and a plane had crashed about 1/2 mile short of the runway. The final remains of the old wood frame canvass covered plane were removed when they built the kids play area. If you are looking for the airport, you will find the Inglemoor Shopping Center (QFC & Bartells, etc,), apartments and houses where it was.

It was lighted, but this wasn't the tree where the festivities were going to be around. We had to walk two blocks or so to get to the other part of the park by the shopping mall. This park has 2 swing benches and the big tree. It also has big stairs to get up to yhe second floor which is kind of an uncovered house tree. Colorful part.

As I drove in I also noticed the painted pillars and decided to check this park out before going in and shopping. The park is very well maintained and neat and tidy. There are abundant benches and tables to sit and just relax, rest, or enjoy something to eat. On the whole, the park is aesthetically pleasing and I liked the artistic twist to the places to sit and overall theme of the park. The seating and tables on the elevated wooden platform were a new style to me. It would be a fun place to sit and eat and watch the cars pass by on the street below. Sculpture art pieces were well executed and contributed to forming a cohesive feel in the park. Painted pillars, my oh my what cool pillars. Each pillar has different artwork painted on it and lists the name of the sponsor for the column, as well as the artist who painted the column, and a quote in theme with the column. Between the columns are suspended benches where you can sit and either face the road or the park. So very cool! Fun place to stop and see some artwork outdoors.

My friend and I went for a hike today at this Preserve. It was so pretty and peaceful there. The…read morepond was a spectacular sight, with the floating logs and the reflections of the tall trees in the water. We hiked the Tree Frog Loop Trail (beautiful) and also the trail to the left of the bathrooms (I didn't see a sign on that trail to tell me what trail it was). Thankfully the trails were all easy level. It was great to be out in the woods again. I think this was my first hike of 2024. It's still quite cold out, but I felt such joy as I took in the trees, the pond, the ferns, and the other scenery. The air here was very fresh, which I appreciated. On our hike today, we only saw one other hiker the entire time that we were there. We also did not see any wildlife at all today, although there may be wildlife to see at certain times. So, we basically felt like we had the place to ourselves for a little while. It was my first time hiking at this Preserve today, but it may not be my last. I'd love to go there again and sit on the bench by the pond.
