My mom had the beginning of Alzheimer's disease when she was living in my sister's home in N.Y. Melissa Rivera and Danielle were instrumental in finding a person to take care of my mom. Right from the beginning they brought over Dollie P. Dollie became my mom's caregiver for the next 2 years until she passed a year ago. With being overwhelmed this last year it is now that I write this review. Dollie was my mom's savior. My mom LOVED Dollie like she was family. My sister and I also loved her for taking the best care of my mom! My mom and Dollie loved each other and it was so obvious how my mom did not want anybody else taking care of her except Dollie. In fact a year later, my sister and I still keep in touch with Dollie. We cannot thank Dollie enough for how she took stellar care of my mom. She was always on time, patient, honest, caring, compassionate and always there and willing to do anything for my mom. And Senior Care was always there if we needed them. I would absolutely choose Senior Care again and trust them with finding a special person for your loved one!

Do NOT use this firm. The exact thing that Anita wrote happened to us. Word for word, expensive, no…read morefollow ups, in the end no Medicaid was received for my mom. I'm actually surprised they are still in business! The Nursing Home who recommended them to us will not recommend them anymore due to how we were treated. Do yourself a favor and find a better place or get a good elder care attorney. The only reason I gave 1 star was because I couldn't post this without it. Update: My Dad and I were in your office April 2017. The run around and paperwork he had to do while dealing with my moms failing health, after paying you a lot of money to have you do it, was terrible. No return phone calls for weeks from you was unacceptable and, as I have never written a bad review, I felt the need now.

They are nice enough, but the price was higher than an elder care attorney. A friend of mine had…read moregone to an elder care attorney who was able to do asset transfers, the transfer of a home, and apply for Medicaid. It was $2,500 less than what In Good Hands charged to only apply for Medicaid. I would recommend going to an elder care attorney instead as they are less expensive and able to deal with far more elder issues than just Medicaid. Just to reply to the comment... only one type of Medicaid was applied for and that is long term. The Department of Social Services does not have any other application for my mother. As for the pooled trust, it was never set up as my mother is long term. Not sure about assistance in MLTC plan, as you told me that I needed to do that, which I did. I had the assessments set up by the plan you referred me to, which I guess is the assistance you mention. As a result, my mom is an out-of-network MLTC and we are having a difficult time switching. In addition, the elder care attorney my friend used applied for both types of Medicaid (community and long-term) and set up a pooled trust. In addition, they transferred assets from both parent's names into just the husband's name, all for $2,500 less. Another co-worker had all the same services from an attorney for his wife for $1,500 less.
