An amazing experience from service to food here! First, I was seeking a great vibe with service and food. They have karaoke all the time there and the attendance is really good. You get to hear a lot of different singers and songs from all different genres. It was thoroughly entertaining. We sat at the bar and service was GREAT. Bartenders are very welcoming, always attentive. We started with the cheese pizza as we were intrigued with the 3-day dough rise. Wow, as a lover of NY style thin crust pies, this one is SO GOOD! It was so good that we ordered a second one! The crust comes out thin, but with crisp. The ratio of cheese, sauce to dough - perfect! I loved the pizza. While I didn't order any other entree or app because as two people we ate two pizzas, I was intrigued with the ALL DAY breakfast. As my favorite meal of the day, this is worth sticky noting. I am intrigued with the steak entree for sure and am likely to go back to try it! We also had the coated dessert pecans. A bonus to our visit, Chef Josh came out and we got to talk to him. We learned the pecans are his mom's recipe. We also learned about his passion for creating dishes. Josh and his cousin run the kitchen and work 7 days a week. They are so committed - but above all else, committed to quality dishes. He also mentioned that the menu will rotate and change based on available fresh ingredients. My 30th birthday celebration continued into the weekend at Carl & Martin's Bar, this time with some peers from a local meetup group I'm in. I used to drive by this bar on my way to my old job and I've never been inside until now. When a peer posted a karaoke night meetup at this bar the day after my birthday, I thought that this was the perfect event to go to. I have a passion for singing, but I rarely do karaoke in front of large crowds, even though my friends and family have begged me so many times to do karaoke for them. I actually had a singing recital the next morning, so I wasn't able to stay the entire night or go too crazy. Karaoke nights are held Tuesday's-Thursday's from 7pm-12am and Friday's-Saturday's from 7pm-3am. They also hold various themed events once a month. Carl & Martin's Bar sits on a hill at Green Valley Pkwy in Henderson, right before it changes to Patrick Lane. It's surrounded by an apartment complex and some office/medical complexes. There is very limited parking right in front of the entrance, but additional parking can be found in the back. Walking to the entrance from the back parking lot takes about a minute or two. I found my group sitting next to the stage. They don't have table service so you will have to order at the bar, which, unfortunately for me, allows smoking. I wasn't able to drink alcohol this time around, so I just had a small plate of al pastor tacos, which served as my dinner for the night. These tacos weren't too big or too small and they were really good! I'll have to try out their alcoholic drinks the next time I'm here. The karaoke song selections were out of this world. Lots and lots of people, including a few peers in my group, signed up to sing and the host announced at some point that there was a 2 hour wait time to get up on stage. Many people sang solo, while a few duets here and there were performed. Carl & Martin's Bar was a great place to have a little fun and watch other people do karaoke. I'll be back again! read more

We came here after passing a few times. Always curious to stop by and I know many are just like us. Let me tell you now... STOP BY YOU WILL BE HAPPY! This place is relaxing and just a vibe! The bartenders are so nice and welcoming and offer great suggestions! There is lots of games to play and even poker machines to keep you entertained. The food is so good! I can say nothing disappointed me at all and especially the nice touch of letting you upgrade to seasoned fries! Not sure how this is scored so high. Arrived last night to check out the bar AND to eat. SUPER LOUD!! Like I get it, it's a bar but for Karaoke? the music was louder than the singer. No service when we sat down for food, or drinks. Definitely not a place for out of town people. We left after waiting for what seems a life time. I'm new to town and I wanted to get my karaoke fix. Let me tell you... this place did not disappoint. As soon as I walked in I knew I was at my new favorite karaoke spot. The drinks were stiff without the Vegas strip price tag. You could tell who the locals were, because ohhh man did they have talent. I could have sworn some of them were professionals. Each song selection just added to the ambiance, you went from rock, to country, to rap and everything in between. It took me some liquid courage to get up, but after a few drinks I was ready to roll. This is a wonderful spot for karaoke! I've been coming for the last few weeks and I really dig it. They have it Tuesday & Thursday from 7-midnight & Friday and Saturday from 7-2am. The Dj's are great. Shout out to Red!! so is the crowd. There can be anywhere from 20-30 people in the queue to sing on a busy night. A big place with a stage. Highest recommendation if you want to Karaoke in green valley. I still have to try the food. read more

I went there in the afternoon on a Saturday. It's a dark bar. Spacious. I was there fora Tupperware bingo party. The rest of the joint was empty. The waitress was nice attentive and efficient. The food is typical bar food. I liked the fried zucchini. My sister will most likely use their location again for her Tupperware bingo. So I'll probably be back. I have passed this place 100x. FINALLY I went in. Omgosh the owners dog was a patron! lol you can pet him, he's so nice. The ambiance is friendly and the place is clean. Not a huge menu of bar food, but definitely enough choices and it's good too! We love the sliders. The bartender is great. We have been back a few times, he remembers us! No we aren't bar flys. lol but sure, have a bite and a drink? It's great! Throw a few bucks in the machine, and hope to win. Again ambiance is great. Not to loud and crazy. Made our way out here to Carl & Martin's for the Karaoke World Championship venue qualifiers! The drinks are strong and delicious, the service was wonderful. Danny the bartender was friendly, quick, and he was just wonderfully pleasant. The food we had was actually surprisingly delicious! I'm always wary of "bar food", but this actually tasted like they put effort into making it taste great! It came out quickly, nice & hot, and was well cooked and seasoned nicely! Stopped by for dinner (Ghost Kitchen). Had house salad (no soup on menu, yet) and liked they expanded their dinner portion menu (steak, fish, etc). Tried the Alfredo with shrimp (+$1). Sauce was good, pasta well done and shrimp seasoned well. Was very warm and comforting. *they have expanded their appetizers and are constantly adjusting their menu and will find the right lineup. Okay so you know " we brunch" And I want to start with this was Day One of the New Brunch service. Our adventure started out a little shaky and I felt like it may be another episode of " The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" Things turned the corner however and well... First they have done a fairly good job of renovating the previous lounge space into a more " Local Bar" with lots of LVGK and UNLV stuff adorning the walls. Carl and Martin's is a tribute to a Longtime Reno establishment. There are several table games( pool, shuffleboard and darts) but No gaming. This fact and a limited number of televisions for sports viewing means this eatery will have to be "On Top" of the service and food to succeed! Our cocktails were on target! Both the Screwdriver and the Bloody Mary were excellent and proper pours! I felt the BM was a bit Over Garnished, but that's just me. The service however... we had to request waters and also had to Flag down a server for a second round. The server that took our food order disappeared until after we had finished eating. We waited 35 minutes for my wife's French Toast to come out. Another 10 minutes went by before I received my Eggs Benedict. While there were only four tables present and there were three servers on so we were unclear as to where the delays were. When we did get our food it was Excellent! My wife's French Toast was crispy yet fluffy. There was a perfect amount of cinnamon to balance out the rich custard it was bathed in. The home fries were crisp and seasoned well, and bacon was expertly cooked as well! My Eggs Benedict were Amazing! The ham was perfectly grilled and while I would have enjoyed my English Muffin to be a bit toastier, my poached eggs were cooked to perfection! I only wanted more of the velvety rich Hollandaise sauce that was obviously made fresh! About this time we were approached by the manager who apologized for our wait time and explained that they were struggling with a new menu, and a Young and new Chef. We spoke and assured her that with the quality of the food we received we felt the Chef would find her groove and have a very successful Brunch endeavor. The restaurant is clean and organized and well lit for a lounge atmosphere. Being in the business my whole life I understand the struggles! I want to recommend you stop by and give Carl and Martin's a chance. Check out Happy Hour as they have nightly activities such as trivia, karaoke and live comedy! Have been here numerous times pre-covid as Elixir. It's now reopened under new management as Carl and Martin's Bar. Clean and inviting inside. Full bar and decent beer selections. They only have pizza for food right now but the pizza was pretty good. Bar manager was nice....and was quick to explain the hopes for this place. We play trivia here on Tuesday nights. Corrine is our fabulous server and she never disappoints. The place gets quite busy and she is never too busy to get us extra napkins or anything else we need. She even used to remember our orders each week (until they recently changed the menu). The new menu is heavy on burgers and pizza options along with nachos, wings and a sandwich. No salads or lighter meal options unfortunately. The atmosphere is upbeat and there is plenty of seating. The projection screen needs an upgrade so coming early to watch a Knights game isn't something we do anymore. The service is the biggest positive here. read more

The food and service were top notch! We went for Sunday brunch yesterday and it's FANTASTIC! We started with the biscuits and a side of gravy (getting the full order next visit - gravy was absolutely perfect! Great peppery flavor with crumbled sausage. Yum!!) they were phenomenal! Great new vibes, brighter lighting. I loved the dark red curtains and ambiance but this place has created a great new atmosphere. Very nice bartender but.. The bartender is sloooowwwwww. We waited 30 minutes for drinks with 4 people in the bar. When the place filled up we left because we knew we wouldn't get drinks and food. I'm not talking staffing issues, 15 people in the bar and and 30 mins for a cocktail. We asked the trivia guy to ask the bartender on the mic for our bill. I used to frequent this place when it was another bar and was hesitant to try it again under new management. I'm glad I finally gave it a try! The bartender was really friendly and engaging, the food was super tasty and the machines were loose! If you are thinking about giving this bar a try, go for it!
