first let me say…read morethat tilly is fantastic. i usually order eggs and hashbrowns or taco salad due to having a limited diet, i cannot have dairy and i don't eat meat. but i have been told to back off greasy food no more than once a week am i allowed it. so i said i will go get an egg sandwich, they have a $10 special. it doesn't say dine in only. i also have ordered this from andy directly--2 one time, 2 another... tilly says the owner which is andy? says no to go orders on egg salad anymore. so... i can't eat there. brother says take it off the list or leave it on for breakfast for when i can eat that stuff again. i am pretty upset because i took nothing out of the freezer, made no alternative plans, sure its my fault, i should have prepared for a disaster. my bad. stupid rule, if its not to go, put that on the sign--dine in only. and don't do it sometimes, make it a permanent rule. AND I am having a party in 2 weeks, I had already discussed getting egg sandwiches w/onion rings for each guest, now they say I can't do that? That would have been 10+ sandwiches...

So after the bar at 2am, I'm staring down a Cobb salad with fried chicken and half a turkey Swiss burger. Both were terrific! Friends Frankie and his wife were singing the praises of Mulligan's Chicken Fried Steak and the Beef Nachos. The food really is that good. The service is always great in here. I have been a few times now, and the regulars are warm and welcoming for the most part. Sure, there's the quiet bar hugger that just stares here and there, but overall it has that familiar "Cheers" feel to it--that's a good thing for the young people reading this and have no idea who Coach, Sam, Norm, Cliff and Woody are. I'm not a people or a crowd person--wife is. So she did the heavy lifting of getting me "in" and I admit that but they're all great folks. If you're at the bar, you aren't hurting for attention. The ladies that are behind the bar (at least it's always been ladies when I'm there, maybe there are some dudes?) are on top of it, super sweet, and you never have to flag them down for another drink. Try the food! I've had a few things here, and I'll be honest with you, I expect a bar that has this feel to have microwaved pizza and chicken tendies. No, they have a full kitchen and so far everything I've had out of it has been legit and delicious. Mushroom burger was big, juicy, and delicious. Fries are good sized, fried crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and seasoned well. You can also get homemade chips, but I haven't tried yet. Caesar salad is good sized--get the chicken, and blackened. Really good. Fried pickles and zucchini are good too, as is the onion rings according to the wife. I forget what else I've tried here, but I haven't been disappointed. They may not have all the mixers to make every drink out there, and I think someone else mentioned they didn't have tap beer (which also surprises me, but oddly enough, I haven't noticed). So I can't confirm nor deny that one. But if you're looking for a place that has a good attitude, good atmosphere (it is dark and smokey, but I'm not a fan of smokey air and this place doesn't get to me, they have a new industrial air filter that does pretty well), and good food with good folks behind the bar, and maybe want to earn the right to be a regular, this is not a bad place to do it. Or just send your wife to do all the work and reap the benefits like I did!

You get to hear a lot of different singers and songs from all different genres. It was thoroughly entertaining. We sat at the bar and service was GREAT. Bartenders are very welcoming, always attentive. We started with the cheese pizza as we were intrigued with the 3-day dough rise. Wow, as a lover of NY style thin crust pies, this one is SO GOOD! It was so good that we ordered a second one! The crust comes out thin, but with crisp. The ratio of cheese, sauce to dough - perfect! I loved the pizza. While I didn't order any other entree or app because as two people we ate two pizzas, I was intrigued with the ALL DAY breakfast. As my favorite meal of the day, this is worth sticky noting. I am intrigued with the steak entree for sure and am likely to go back to try it! We also had the coated dessert pecans. A bonus to our visit, Chef Josh came out and we got to talk to him. We learned the pecans are his mom's recipe. We also learned about his passion for creating dishes. Josh and his cousin run the kitchen and work 7 days a week. They are so committed - but above all else, committed to quality dishes. He also mentioned that the menu will rotate and change based on available fresh ingredients.
