It took 12 visits for Dr. Henry to replace one crown that I'm not even sure needed to be replaced…read more The first replacement took four visits because the color wasn't right. Then, at my annual exam, he told me it had been installed incorrectly and offered to replace it at no charge. That replacement took another eight visits. The temporary cracked three times, I had to go to a dental lab in Springfield twice for color matching, and the final crown was wrong and had to be redone. Look, I get it -- humans make mistakes and sometimes things happen that are out of our control. But 12 visits? If you've never had a crown, this is not a normal experience. I've also had concerns about their billing. On one occasion, I was quoted one amount for unrelated dental work, then later received a bill with additional charges. When I called for an explanation, I was told the person who gave me the quote was no longer employed there and had given me the wrong pricing. Convenient. At my last cleaning, I also specifically asked the hygienist not to use the water sprayer because I'm sensitive to the vibration. She used it anyway, despite my request, and it was very uncomfortable. That said, I did have one very positive experience a few years ago when I chipped a front tooth. They saw me the next day as an emergency patient, and a different dentist in the practice repaired it beautifully. Despite that one positive experience, I will not be returning.

I left that day NO EXAGGERATION- 9 hours later (9a-6:30/7pm) with a tooth extraction, $500 poorer, dental payment plan that exceeded $,1000 for the next6+ months, and numb from the rooter to the tooter. I was pretty much coerced to start plans of reconsidering and tooth extractions until March 2026 which will be deep cleanings every 4 months, cologne, bone marrow, 3 tooth extractions, a bridge etc so that's roughly $4,000 by March 2026. I explained it would put me in the hole, but I tried and now here I am months later in the hole and in pain once again. Not their fault they're just expensive as heck and the payment options in this economy isn't realistic or affordable! But overall they're great I love the hygienist and the assistants and the front desk girls even though the turn overrate is crazy. I love it here wish I could afford it haha. They definitely pressure you for preventative care and don't take NO for an answer that's for sure. Hopefully I can renegotiate my contract or just find an affordable dental place

Let me start by saying that I am 51 years old and have never had any dental problems (major or…read moreotherwise) before a recent out-of-nowhere root canal problem. Add to this that, apparently, I have four tooth roots instead of the normal three, and it's oft-said that you have a sometimes difficult procedure ahead. I was sent to Bloom Dental by the equally excellent Cherrydale Smiles (also in Arlington, Virginia), who did my initial X-Rays, discovery of problem, and cleaning out of gum, pre the necessary root canal work. I always heard nightmare stories about root canals. That was before the incredible Dr. Yousefi took over. I felt ZERO pain at ANY time during the initial procedure (or at any time), and even had to come back for a part two since I had an infection that needed elimination before the work could be completed. I was worried there would be pain during part two, but again, Dr. Yousefi worked some magic on my aforementioned unusual four-rooted tooth with NO pain did it in exceedingly efficient time (45 minutes tops for the entire two-part procedure), and it's now temporarily crowned and awaiting final crowning at month's end.
