The clinic is located on the 5th floor of a building, which gives some nice views of downtown from above. Reception is usually really pleasant and efficient. The Waiting Room is cozy and plenty of magazines of all genres are available. The actual dental area is very clean and modern, with plenty of up-to-date tech. I believe Dr Bougher takes pride in being innovative and provides the best care with the most current technology and dental techniques. Besides from keeping himself well-educated and up-to-date he is super personable, knowledgeable, considerate, patient and really strives to make you feel comfortable and answer all your concerns. You really don't feel like just another client, he takes his time with you - especially during a procedure, he takes you through his steps, explains what he is seeing and he is very sensitive to your pain and keeps asking to ensure you're as comfortable as possible. Besides from Dr Bougher, I love my hygienist - Sue. She is definitely top-notch with everything she does, my teeth always feels thoroughly clean and spotless. Sue is also one of the kindest people, super easy to talk to and she remembers you! She also makes sure you are always comfortable as well, and warns you if a spot may be tender - but I've never had a complaint because she's always so gentle yet effective! Overall, I can't say I don't like the dentist anymore because you cannot dislike Dr Bougher and Sue and all the amazing dental care they provide. A childhood trauma with an ahole dentist still makes me nervous, but Dr. Mehio and the team were so kind and so knowledgeable, I can hardly wait to go back. As we all know, dental is very expensive when it is paid for out of pocket. I explained that I do not have any insurance and cannot afford to pay for my cleaning but would call back to book when I could afford to or was reinsured. She laughed and clearly pulled the phone away so I couldn't hear, but I did. I don't think that is is funny to laugh at others misfortune and will not return after this humiliating experience.

Dr Chan sits with you and performs such a thorough consultation, reviews your xrays and photos with you to show you exactly where your concerns should lie. The good experience begins when you walk into the clinic and meet Sherrilyn who is the receptionist. She always has a smile on her face and seems like she really enjoys what she does. The dentist I see there is Dr. Monika. She is amazing and so is her dental assistant, Amy. They make each and every one of my visits very pleasant. Dr. Monika is not only extremely knowledgeable about anything dentistry, she's also very meticulous and will walk you through and describe every step of the way. She will do an initial consultation where they take pictures and check out the condition of your teeth. Then she'll down everything that needs to be done and the prices for all the procedures. I got my top 2 wisdom teeth removed yesterday and both Dr. Monika and Amy ensured that the extraction was pain-free and as comfortable as it could be for me. Dr. Monika also gave me her personal number in case I had question/concerns and took the time to call me the next day to make sure that I was doing well. Everyone who's asked me which dentist i go to, I always tell them about Dr. Monika. The whole team at La Vita Dental will take care of you and make this dreadful experience a pleasant one. And the detail care/instruction and attention from the dental staff are superb. I am also happy with Caroline's professionalism. The dentist had a mishap and how he and Caroline dealt with that subsequently - were professional and wonderful. Dentist Sasan assured me that great care would be given. And on my last appointment (implant surgery), as before, I was provided information about the implant procedure and the post actions after the surgery. In addition, Dentist Sasan provided me three prescriptions just in case if any discomforts are experienced. I am so glad of this, as pain came much later. Thank god I got the prescriptions filled immediately after the surgery. At my previous dental place, no prescriptions were given and I had to wait till the next day to get anything. I even had to make an appointment to get some relief. :-/ I especially like the implant pre-estimate and its steps (and its costs) to put an implant in place.. Getting the pre-estimate that includes the insurance coverage from my previous dentist was like pulling one's teeth without anesthesia. They had to wait for few weeks before insurance coverage could be given. At Arta Dental, I get the estimate right away. I definitely don't like surprises. Also, I am not at the dentist to be entertained. Vancouver Cosmetics seems to think telling jokes every forty seconds is a normal thing. It's one thing to have a normal friendly conversation, but to do it during the procedure? After having few appointments with Dentist Sasan indicate to me - that great care and attention are provided (except for the mishap). The doing, the checking, and the verifying are so important and that is what Dentist Sasan had done. Thank goodness for his checking; otherwise, the mishap would have gone wrongly. In addition, at first, I thought I was being avoided, because no cleaning appointments were scheduled for me, so I assumed the worst. Caroline assured me that wasn't the case. Some just came for one thing and nothing else. I FEEL the dental service I ahd received was upgraded to several levels. I do feel like I had gone into a country club where the dental staff considers that the utmost importance is to give great dental care. The place is well ventilated and carefully decorated - seemingly - and I appreciate that quite a bit. The environment definitely helps to relax me as a patient and relieves any anxiety. The staff was super friendly and happy and the clinic itself is modern, bright and inviting. As it has been a few years since I last saw a dentist (and that was in a different county) I was not sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The dentist (Dr. Albertina Chan) is super nice and makes sure that you are informed of all that is going on during the entire process. I've always felt a little embarrassed by the state of my teeth but felt no judgment at all, which made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I would absolutely recommend this clinic!
