Ordered a meal at drive through. When I got to the window I was handed a drink and a small bag after paying almost 15.00. When I checked the bag there were no fries. I mentioned this to the worker at the window and he informed me that I did not order fries. he then told me I could pay for fries and add them. I just went through the drive-through and my order was $22 and some change and they charged me for somebody else's meal which was $27. I asked employee if they can refund me from the till a.k.a. register. The employee said no we cannot do that only my manager can do that on Sunday morning. I asked employee refund the purchase to the card and he said no. The employee did not know what I ordered when I pulled up there because they deleted my order from the screen. It looks like all the employees need to be trained on how to fulfill a order and take a order accurately. And whoever is the manager there was no manager on site at that time which also creates a new issue because there should be a manager on site at any given time to handle these issues. Horrible horrible service! By far my fav go to fast food restaurant ever, but after today I don't think I'll ever make a purchase here again. The male that took my order rushed us in the drive thru window repeating our order two times within 30 seconds, 3 of us were ordering and he seemed like he was rushed the third person didn't even want to get anything from there. I asked for ketchup on my burger and got nothing, the fries were half empty!and to top it off, we asked for a milkshake with no whip and guess what, got WHIP. We told him he put whip and stared making a new one in such a rush, within 20 seconds he handed us a cup that had the the strawberry syrup and ice cream on the rim. My husband picked up food from this place yesterday and he didn't even have to wait for it. It was not freshly made, been sitting for awhile. The bun was hard and the whole burger was cold. The fries were wilted, floppy. And we got two stupid cookies that cost two dollars and they were no bigger then a fifty cent piece. We will never go there again. And it came to $28 plus. Out of all massive volume/convenience fast food burger joints, Carl's Jr is, without question, my favorite. I eat at the one on Marconi Avenue every Christmas Eve; it's tradition. Carl's has decent tasting food compared to it's rivals McDonalds, Burger King and Jack in the Box. At Mickey D's the fries are tolerable. At Jack in the Box, the dollar tacos are a great value. Burger King... Well Burger King just gives me the sh!ts 98% of the time I work up the courage to eat there. Carls Jr on the other hand is the most consistent when it comes to serving up decent edible food. With all that being said, even your favorite haunts will have a day or location when satisfaction is not up to par, and this location was one of those occasions. In all fairness, I would never give a fast food burger joint five stars because, well... Fast food burgers are garbage by default, but even a dumpster diver can tell you that he/she prefers Round Table over Papa John's in the back alley of a Pizzeria just after closing time... Moving right along... This restaurant's dining area was empty and clean. It was about 5:30pm on a Friday, and the dude taking our order just couldn't keep it together. I ordered the Six Dollar Mile High Promo combo, and he frantically (there was one person in line behind us and again... the dining room was empty, but he acted like he was behind on 15 orders) told us he didn't have any change in his till. My girlfriend held up a debit card and he sighed with great relief and smiled. We then sat a table and our order arrived within five minutes. I noticed both sandwiches on the tray were not in a box. Six Dollar Burgers come in a box. I opened my bacon promo wrapper and noticed the bun wasn't the fresh kind and the burger patty was standard sized. I looked at the receipt and sure enough he rang me up for the standard burger. It was the same burger I ordered, just less of it. I ate it because I was hungry and didn't want to wait. It was horrible. Overly dry, and the bacon seemed like it sat in the fridge over night and sat under a heat lamp all day which is not fair to bacon at all. Anyway, we took the experience in stride, knowing it wasn't the first time that had happened, and most definitely won't be the last. It was Friday, and I was in a decent mood, so... Tried to talk to her at the window to make sure she understood and she didnt even let me finish my sentence and shut the window. I ordered crisscut fries with my burgers and the threw them in upside down with barely any in each box breaking the boxes in the bag and breaking the bag. Absolute the worst experience of fast food ever. Their staff is short borderline rude. I have never written an online review but I am so frustrated with this place I had to do it. They screwed up one order I called when I got home, they offered to replace it. I went back picked it up and that order was screwed up (found out when I got home) called AGAIN and they offered to replace it. I went back AGAIN and guess what!??!?! They not only screwed the 3rd order up in an hour it was an entirely different order not even close to what I ordered, this is bad. They also have an associate there that is a Transgender which I am totally ok with I am Lesbian so this does stuff does not bother me like it would some people BUT I referred to her as "sir" through the drive-through and she flipped out on me saying "IT's MAM" I am a "MAM" this same person also refused to help another that made the same mistake I did in the drive-through she was so loud I could hear her from my car she just stop responding the customers they got out at the drive-through and were really upset they ended up driving off, I will NEVER go back to this place again ever, ever, ever, an interesting thing is I am not only one that feels like this they clearly have earned 2 stars out of 46 reviews for a reason. Hello, my husband and i recently moved to Carmichael about 7 almost 8 months ago. We really like carls jr and this location is literally 2 minutes from our house. The few times we went there they messed up our food and also the employees do not seem very educated on the menu items or products. The last time we went there a few weeks ago the supervisor or manager was very rude and had a horrible straight face look the whole time my husband was explaining what happened to our order. We will never come here again to this location. We also have contacted corporate about the matter as well. Hopefully they clean up whatever is going on at this store. I had the worst customer service experience this morning. I ordered a breakfast biscuit sandwich and a breakfast burger and a powerade with both meals. I get to the window and the girl repeats my order but says sprite instead of powerade for one of my meals. I started to say that i wanted a powerade instead of sprite and i was interrupted and was told it doesnt matter and then i was handed a sprite. But i decided to let it go because it wasnt a huge deal. I drove back home and i live only about five min or so away. I open up my sandwich and was very upset because the sandwich was smashed. I put everything back in the bag and drove back. I went to the counter inside and told the employee that i received a sprite and i asked for a powerade and my sandwich was smashed and i would like a new one. I was then told that they may not be able to anything for me about the sandwich because i left and came back. So the employee goes to the manager and the manager comes out and says we dont hand the bags all crumpled like this but ill make another one for you this time. I could not be believe she acted like i was lying or trying to pull some scam. I rarely ever complain because i know that working in customer service jobs can be hard. But i was very upset and i have worked in customer service for a while now and i have never treated anybody that way. I dont get fast food from there very often but i felt like having breakfast from there because i have enjoyed it in the past. I do not plan on going back there. I really hate to down grade the place over one item, but it was always my go to place for their $6 Burger when I wanted a hamburger. I salivate just remembering those things. BUT THEY CHANGED THE BUN. THOSE BAKED BUNS ARE AWFUL. FALL APART, NO ELASTICITY IN THE MOUTH FEEL, AND THEY TASTE LIKE CARDBOARD. For some reason you people have ruined my Number One burger meal. Drive thru nightmare. First of all they ask if you want whatever meal or sandwich they are promoting. Was asked, said no, so I proceeded to place my order exactly how I wanted it didnt matter, the person typing it didnt hear any of it had to repeat each item at a time until the screen was correct.Paid for order headed home and low and behold I got two orders of the same damn combo they were promoting. Went back to the Cj's and they started to remake the order but the same employees messing up again brought it to their attention and instead of remaking, The Sandwich Engineer decided to strip off any condiments that were incorrect and slap it back together. Tonight I used the drive through at this a bit shaky Carl's Jr. location, ordering some french fries along with my burger. I'm not griping about the disjointed window service, or her display of an uncaring attitude, b/c she wasn't displaying her attitude exclusively toward me. When I arrived home, my fries were there and OK, but there were no ketchup packets, something I've always gotten at this franchise and at every other one, no questions asked. Since I have called in to thank managers for good service, I called here to let them know that something is going wrong at this site. I was told that they no longer are allowed to dispense ketchup unless we ask for one. I told her to remind me to never return, and she faked her "sorry".
