Found this spot on YELP.! And let's just say it's literally the best chicken fried steak hands down! The ambiance is definitely a vibe and everyone is very friendly and attentive. What we ordered: Hot chocolate Churro pancakes combo with bacon/sausage Orange juice Biscuits and gravy with hash browns Mango Rooster mimosa Country fried steak with tater tots

Banana walnut Cracked Cake (Pancake) - Combo

Love this spot for brunch! While the parking lot is on the smaller side, there are plenty of tables available inside. The menu is adorable--it features a cute little rooster that looks like Hei Hei from Moana! I ordered the banana walnut pancake combo with sausage and eggs, along with a coffee. Everything was delicious. The servers are incredibly attentive and kind, constantly checking in to see if we need anything. My friends loved their food, too! Overall, a fantastic experience--highly recommend.

Yep, we went 2 this spot again & had a fantastic experience!!! Our waitress was Jazzy & I hope we get her every time. My daughter & I like 2 split a savory & sweet items @ breakfast. We got an omelette called the Chick-Inn=bacon, sausage, avocado & cheese, sour dough toast & hash browns. For the sweet items= blueberry pancakes w/ the blueberries inside. I asked for an extra plate & Jazzy did the next best thing!!! Gave us each our own mini omelette & put the blueberry pancakes on separate plates!!! I was soooo impressed!!! The mini omelettes were perfect & delish!!! Hashbrowns & toast=yum!!!! And the blueberry pancakes ......SOOOOO GOOD!!! Love looking @ all the rooster decor!!! Great job 2day!!!

Had a wonderful time dining here for breakfast on a Saturday morning with my partner! Tucked away in sacramento, it's a restaurant with lots of personality and great food! We arrived around 9 am and were sat immediately. Arriving early was a good move since they hit their breakfast rush around 10 pm! It's an energetic place with friendly and attentive staff. They do take reservations! I ordered the half chicken fried sandwich with scrambled eggs with a side of tater tots and a Nutella waffle. I was so happy by the portion size as pictures don't do it justice. The sandwich was hefty with so much gravy and scrambled eggs in the sandwich. So delicious, mouthwatering, and crunchy. The tater tots were so crispy and tasty. The Nutella waffle had such a great heaping amount of Nutella! So soft, warm, and sweet! A wonderful experience to dine here!

Easy to make reservations the day before It doesn't look like much from the outside and parking was packed, but we seemed to get there right at the right time (10:30am on a Saturday) as a few people were leaving. There is a check-in iPad when you walk up, its cute and quaint inside. The menu had so many options and seems they may change their mimosa menu monthly. My cousin got a sweet and savory plate (#3) - but it seemed to be a lot smaller portion than expected. I got the biscuits and gravy. We didn't have to wait too long and food and service was good. If in the area again I would try again.

We like going here for a cozy brunch. I recommend joining the waitlist asap because it can get pretty busy - especially if you're going on a holiday like Mother's Day! They always have great cocktail options (even flights to try their featured drinks!) Food is typical diner food, but I'd rather support a woman owned small diner than a chain! I was really craving pancakes and the chocolate chip pancakes hit the spot. They weren't too busy so the waitress was able to check in on us frequently. They do have a parking lot but both times we have been, it's been full. The neighborhood does NOT have public parking, so you'll need to drive around a bit for a spot.

Man this place brought back so many great memories of when I was a kid. This location was home to Eggie's, a spot my mom and I would frequent. We had the entertainment coupon book and they were a staple in that book. The portions here are huge, food is awesome and service hits every mark. Parking lot is big but it fills pretty quick. And finding a spot can be a bit of a hassle, but don't give up. Be sure to sign up on the waitlist via Yelp and skip the line! Must try's here are the breakfast burrito's, home fries and their house made gravy! Toasted Rooster is now in the breakfast rotation when we go out :)

If you're looking for a breakfast spot that feels cozy, Toasted Rooster absolutely delivers. Went during the week and when I arrived I was greeted by staff and seated promptly. Restaurant has a bright and rustic decor. The menu strikes the perfect balance between classic comfort food and creative twists. Ordered a traditional 2 egg breakfast with bacon and hash browns. Their breakfast had crispy hash browns with perfectly cooked eggs and crisp bacon. Although Everything tasted great I thought the serving portion size of bacon and hash browns were a bit small compared to other breakfast restaurants.

Living in the area for almost 9 years, and only once I moved elsewhere, I tried this establishment out. Shame on me! There was a fair amount of parking, but can imagine with a packed house, it might be an issue due to its location. I arrived around 745am on a weekday and there were already a decent amount of people seated. I was greeted and seated right away. Prior to looking over the menu, the server quickly asked if I would like any beverages or coffee which I appreciated. They brought it very quickly. Decor wasn't anything too flashy. I ended up getting the mother clucker. Loved it! The servings was very generous, and the server frequented re-pouring coffee - score! Its great to know I may have another go-to breakfast spot when I have to work at the office for the day. I'll 100% be back to try a few other menu items in the future!

Thanks Ciara and Jazzy for always making me feel so welcomed. One of my favorite breakfast spots a must try. Food is made to order always fresh hot and delicious. Many options to choose from with fun names. I always see groups of people meeting here. Great for groups. Outdoor seating, indoor patio seating, booth or table, they also have counter seats. My veggie omelette was filled with fresh spinach, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes and bell peppers. So good. Their Coffee is so warm and comforting( actually hot coffee)The feel at home vibe. If you want to feel welcomed by friendly staff and delicious comforting food. Come try out the Toasted Rooster. Yum!

Honestly one of the best spots in Sacramento for breakfast. The food is always delicious and the service is great! The decoration and layout of the restaurant is so unique and brings warmth as you enjoy your meal.

If I had to guess I would think that it would we like this every weekend. Crowd. The close quarters and number of tables made the restaurant a very loud place. It was difficult to have a conversation with the person that you're sitting across from. Parking over here is also very sparse. The food is ok....pancakes are a bit dense and chewy....steak was a bit chewy as well, though we'll seasoned. Everything else we had was very good. Eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, coffee....all excellent. The wait was a bit excessive but our server hustled all mobusy. Only opportunity pricewise was the OJ....thougbt it was pricey for what i got.. Id like to come back next time when its not as busy.

Do they serve gluten-free pancakes, waffles, or French toast?

I do see gluten-free on their menu, but not for pancakes, waffles or French toast

What time is breakfast/brunch served until on weekends?

I believe they close at 3pm

Do you have gluten free pancakes, waffles or gf French toast?

We do not prep these items. While we do have the ability, the cooks do need ample time to prepare- so just know that they are made to order and take a bit longer to cook.

After enjoying glasses of chardonnay at nearby Luna Lounge (please reference my review if…read moreinterested), my wife and I headed to The Blind Pig to enjoy a few cocktails. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly bartender by the name of Ronny. Our first round consisted of two dirty martinis (my new drink of choice), which Ronny put his fist (that's a good thing) into making. One of the things that I love about dive bars is the various demographics that usually frequent them (along with their interesting conversations). For our second round we ordered a "Manmosa (yes I know that sounds ridiculously machismo in 2024)" that Ronny insisted on putting a fruity spin on. Not only were we thankful for his suggestion, but his version was GOOD! In real dive bar-like fashion, Ronny provided us both with an extra cup to house the remainder of the Manmosa that could not fit into our glasses (another dive bar perk). As we sat at the bar, my wife and chatted while lightly watching the movie Step Brothers on one of the televisions. Although it was a fairly slow Saturday afternoon, I can imagine that this place gets pretty lively in the latter part of the night though. We observed lots of seating, games, and an area for karaoke (toasted karaoke is the best!). I highly recommend The Blind Pig if you're looking to have deliciously strong drinks at a price that won't have you waking up the next morning rethinking the decisions that you made the previous night!

THE SETUP Goldfields is a charming, rustic country-western stylized saloon that serves up beer at good prices. But we weren't interested in beer and wanted quality cocktails. It's themed around horse racing, but not in an overbearing or... tacky way. The mixologist was delightful and had great recommendations, the lights were dim, and the drinks were all on point. The highlight was the espresso martini, which is among the best I've had. It was reminiscent of the one I had at the Starbucks Roastery in NYC, which is high praise. The other coffee drink that surprised me was the Revolver. I always forget about what a good pairing orange and coffee is, and I'll be taking this one back home with me to try! Every other drink we tried was delicious in some unique way. The Pho drink was savory and surprising, the New York Sour was rich and flavorful, and the Practical Move was refreshing. Will definitely return here after dinner to sip an espresso martini for dessert!

It combines a modern chic look with an abundance of plants, making for one of the more creative places I've been to. "Gorgeous" is the most fitting word to describe the overall experience. I took my date here for dinner and drinks. The Classic Burger held up relatively average but the fries had a standout savory taste to them. I would order the fries alone if I stop by again. As for drinks, I opted for the Strawberry Rosé Slushee; it's refreshing and the perfect choice for brunch or happy hour. It tastes modestly sweet so I would caution downing more than a couple of these at the risk of a hangover. The Purple Haze (mainly ube foam on blanco tequila) is unfortunately nothing short of a flop. To be fair, I'm negatively biased toward anything tequila in the first place, but this drink tastes like straight tequila. The ube foam doesn't contribute to the taste and awkwardly floats on the surface. TLDR: beautiful interior, good food, and decent drinks (depending on what you get).
