Charbroiled Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich- 9.56$, small fries- 3.19$, tax- 26c
    North S.

I have lower standards for fast food but will still rate it compared to restaurants Santa fe chicken sandwich: I'll admit, I got this for free because of my coupon. My first time trying this burger (and one of my very few times trying carls jr in general). Surprisingly juicy and moist chicken breast. After finishing, there was just a pool of juice on the tray. With minimal ingredients, bun, chicken, cheese, sauce and lettuce, it lacked flavor. What flavor there was was good, it wasnt depriving of flavor but I wouldve preferred more. The lettuce flavor was too strong, kinda annoying. I usually like lettuce but I think the placement of it being below the chicken was annoying. Cheese wasnt fully melted. Most of the price is definitely from the chicken. Fries: shape, size, and texture similar to mcdonalds. The big difference is flavor. Not bad but less flavor than mcdonalds. Also for being small fries, lots of them are pretty long Buffalo sauce: Buffalo sauce surprisingly liquidy. Reminds me of franks red hot. I wouldnt get it again Overall got pretty full so cant complain. Kinda a healthy burger which isnt what im looking for. I wouldnt get this again. I'll say the chicken was moist and tender but thats about it. Extra Wait time surprisingly long for an empty restaurant. Drive thru was busy, it wasnt that long but I expected faster for an empty fast food restaurant. Idk if im in the wrong, told the cashier I wanted to use my coupon, she asked me what burger, I said santa fe chicken sandwich, she added it and then in a kinda condescending way, explained to me I needed a purchase of 1$ or more. I already knew that, I then waited for her to finish talking so I could say small fries. I was sitting when the same lady walked to me to serve me my meal, restaurant style. And was generally really nice and polite. Way nicer than our last interaction The same lady was also doing the drive thru when I was waiting to order During my time, saw 2-3 people coming in. I was gonna rate it 3 stars but actually comparing to other restaurants, it is a 4 star. The food was good and actually better than some other places ive been to. And service was good minus when I was ordering. Also clean place. Fast food is popular for a reason 4/5

Between the 2 Carl's in town, I prefer the other. if you're over here, go to Nobby's, and if that's closed go to in n out.

I finally got a chance to check out Raising Cane's in Chico, and I gotta say--it's a whole…read moreexperience. If you're looking for a quiet sit-down meal, this probably isn't the place for you. But if you like fast service, crispy chicken, and a high-energy vibe, you'll probably love it. First Impressions: It's Loud, But It Works The first thing I noticed walking in? The noise. Between the background music, the crew calling out orders, and customers chatting, the place is bustling. But weirdly enough, it works. Even though it sounds chaotic, the team has a system down. Orders are being called, food is flying out fast, and everyone's moving like they know exactly what they're doing. Oh, and then there's the disco balls. Yes, you read that right--three disco balls hanging from the ceiling. It kind of gives the place a fun, nightclub feel, which adds to the whole energetic atmosphere. The Food: Simple, Fresh, and Filling I went with the Three Finger Combo, which comes with: Three crispy, golden-brown chicken fingers A side of crinkle-cut fries A buttery slice of Texas toast Cane's signature dipping sauce A drink The chicken? Hot, fresh, and not dry at all. You get solid white meat with a nice crunch on the outside. The Cane's Sauce? Definitely the star--it's got that tangy, slightly peppery kick that just works. And between the chicken, fries, toast, and drink, you're definitely leaving full. For $11-$12, I'd say you're getting your money's worth. Service: Fast & Efficient One thing Raising Cane's does really well? Speed. They even have people outside taking orders to keep the drive-thru moving. And when they're not serving food, the crew is constantly cleaning tables--not just wiping them down but actually disinfecting them, which is nice to see. A Nice Bonus: Discounts & EV Charging One thing that really stood out to me? They offer a senior and military discount. With prices going up everywhere, it's cool to see a place still showing some appreciation for seniors and veterans. Another surprise--Blink charging stations outside for electric vehicles. That's a smart move, making it easy for EV drivers to grab a meal while charging up. Final Thoughts Raising Cane's is one of those high-energy, fast-paced spots that's probably going to be a hit, especially with younger crowds. It's loud, but fun, and the food is fresh, simple, and satisfying. If you're looking for a quiet meal, this ain't it--but if you want fast service, good chicken, and a lively vibe, it's definitely worth checking out.

I ordered the Heeler (because blue cheese, duh) and my partner ordered the Cowboy. I was pleasantly surprised that burgers came with fries... these days, most places try to up-charge any side. My partner is kind of a burger snob and he said he'd give it a 7.5/10... but his favorite burger is from 5th Street Steakhouse, so the competition is stiff Lol I would say it was a 9/10 for me. The highs? The gourmet bun was toasted and branded with their logo, the produce was fresh, the bacon was hot off the grill, and the entire thing was cooked to order. The slight misses? I ordered the sea salt & vinegar fries and they were too salty for me... and that's saying something because I love salt. The burger patty was also a much leaner beef than we expected... and while "my health journey" appreciates that, it wasn't super juicy or tender, despite being cooked to a perfect level of doneness. All that to say: I'll for sure be back... I love to shop small and support local, and it's much easier to do when businesses like this are putting out such good quality eats!
