The first thing many people will notice about this Carl's is they have one awkward drive thru layout. When you pull in the passenger side is closer to the service window. It's usually the driver side is closer to the window, a first for me in all my years I've never seen this before. Now that is out of the way I went inside to order a oreo shake and that wait time was long. I was standing there for about 10 minutes waiting for my shake even though it was moderately busy. They take their sweet time to make your order here. At other Carl's, or fast food places, they usually make it there on the spot since it's one item but over here the cashier was just walking around the back. If ya decide to come here bring your patience and a passenger because they take their sweet time here and you'll have someone to talk to while you wait. read more

I finally had a chance to try Carl's Jr. new vegan Beyond Burger. I ordered mine with no cheese or special sauce and asked for ketchup and mustard instead. I did ask an employee if they cook their fries with any of their breaded meats and she said fries are cooked in their own fryer, so you can make it a combo. I've always liked the Beyond Burger so it's such great news for those who travel a bit to have a restaurant chain that is nearby. Also, it's a bit less expensive than a sit down restaurant so that's a plus. The only thing I'd love to see are vegan sauces and cheese. But for now, thank you Carl's! read more

My husband and I rarely eat here, but when we do our stomach always hurts afterward. Last night on our way home from a graduation party, my husband asked me to stop there since he was hungry. On Christmas Eve, I stopped in to Carl's to grab a burger. This is the same Carl's Jr where I was introduced to the brand back when they were new to So Cal. I settled on a Six-Dollar Jalapeno Thick Burger and a fountain drink. The whole tab (including my 10% senior discount) was under $9.00. (Just because they call it a $6 Burger, don't think that's the cost.) A few days before, I went to Red Robin and got their Burning Love burger, which is comparable by description. Let me tell you, besides being several dollars less expensive and no endless fries, the Carl's burger tasted better. Also, you don't have to tip, and you can park close to the door and get out of there when you're done, which is 10 minutes, not an hour. I stopped going to Carl's for maybe ten years because their ad department was objectifying women. I like women, and I like burgers. You don't need to show me sexy girls to get me to buy a burger. Carl's Jr. restaurants are my go-to place for flame cooked hamburgers, but this place bears NO resemblance to a Carl's Jr. There were only two people working and nobody cooking. One unpleasant lady was working the drive through and the counter, the other (also at the counter) was slopping together hamburgers as they rolled out of a reheating machine. I ordered two of their Super Star Combo specials before I realized how they were made. I should have left without them, but I went ahead and took them. I asked the staff about it and they said it is set at 60 degrees ALL THE TIME!! They each had a trace of brisket and BBQ sauce. The burgers were OVERCOOKED, DRY & ALMOST INEDIBLE. A couple burgers were burned- too badly burned for DNA samples to be taken to determine what animal they were from. They tasted a little like bovine offal. The so-called fried Zucchini only tasted of grease-no flavor to the processed contents inside the little fried wrappings.And since when did zucchini have an orange hue- Farmer Boy is much superior in this department. We left the food order along with the greasy fries and went to The Hat for their astounding Pastrami Burgers, perfect fries and endless condiments.
