My kids and I recently visited The Stand and had a great overall experience. I ordered the Onion Stack Burger, and it was excellent. The bun had a great texture, the burger was grilled perfectly, and the crispy onions added a delicious crunch that really elevated the whole sandwich. I paired it with The Stand Blonde Ale and wasn't disappointed! The beer complemented the burger very well. Part of me wished the burger came with a side, but considering the burger alone was over 1,000 calories, I was probably better off without the temptation! For the kids, we ordered the mac and cheese and a hot dog, and both were well received. I also appreciated that they offer a good variety of kid-friendly sides, which gives families plenty of options. We also shared a cookies and cream milkshake, which was rich, creamy, and very tasty. The only downside to our visit was a small service issue. I had to help my kids in the restroom and couldn't leave the table unattended. By the time I returned, my daughter's leftover mac and cheese, which she wanted to save, and our lemonade had been cleared away. It wasn't a huge deal, but it was disappointing since we weren't quite finished with them. My daughter wants to come back because this was apparently the best mac and cheese ever. Yesterday my coworker and I had lunch at The Stand in Chino Hills. We both ordered the Veggie Bliss. It was delicious. I also ordered my wife's usual Chinese Chicken Chop Salad without wonton and crispy noodles to go. I did not check the order. When I got home, the order included wonton and crispy noodles. We were in the. Chino Hills area today and had to stop here for lunch. My husband ordered his "go to" burger, The Stand burger with house-made chips and I tried one of their salads today, the Southwest Chicken salad with the dressing and bbq sauce on the side which was so satisfying! Came here on a sunday night and it wasn't too busy. We got parking around the corner. You have to park in a lot close by and walk over. They don't have their own lot but there's plenty of parking around this mall area. This is a spot where you order then sit, so we quickly got in line while we reviewed the menu. I got a bbq brisket sandwhich, my wife got a onion soup burger, and we got 2 kids cheese burgers and 1 kids nuggets, all kids meals came with frys. We also ordered a regular sweet potato fry and a regular fry. We sat down and the first thing I noticed is they had big screen tvs playing the football game. This is a great spot to watch sports and there was plenty of seating inside. There were also spots to sit if you didn't want to watch the game. Our food came out and it was super hot. We even ordered extra sauces and extra pickles, all at no cost. I loved their ranch sauce. The bbq brisket sandwhich came with brisket, bbq sauce, a cole slaw and banana peppers on a pretzel bun. It was very delicious and the sandwhich was tangy and sweet and salty. However my wife's French onion burger was bomb! It came with a side of onion soup and she had her burger cooked medium. I had one bite and that was BOMB. She asked for extra onions and extra sauce but it wasn't provided to her, even though the lady at the register said she notated it for her. All my kids loved their food and ate it all which was a very good sign since they can be picky eaters. I also ended up getting another sweet potato fry, the large portion which was double the price. Regular was about $4 and the large was about $8. I don't think the large was that large, I thought they would have given more considering it was double the price. The stand is a new-ish place that opened up at the Shoppes. Lots of seating on the inside. Keep in mind, this review is only for one item on the menu, but my family and I were just not huge fans. We built our own burgers - veggie patty, brioche bun, the workings, and pepper jack cheese along with the charred jalapeño scallion aioli. To start, the veggie patty, which had a black bean base, was pretty unflavorful and the texture felt off. The charred jalapeño scallion aioli was definitely the star of the show, if we were to come back, maybe we'd just get a burger without a patty or try the falafel sandwich. Those were some of the only vegetarian options. The sweet potato fries and regular fries were good. The patty was definitely not my favorite, and ruined the burger for me. While the chicken was good, I wish there was more of it and cut up. Also it has no right being called Piri Piri Chicken as someone who has been to Portugal. I really think they either try a different recipe and preparation or change the name. Also the ratio of rice to chicken was really off. So much rice and not enough chicken. This is a convenient location in the Shoppes. They have a lot of parking but since it is shared with all the order restaurants and stores it can be a walk to get to the restaurant. I like that they have a dog friendly patio outside that is covered. Our food came pretty quickly and everyone enjoyed their order. The fries were nice and fresh and they will give you any number of sauces to dip, including their lovely house sauce, which is reminiscent of a thousand-island based sauce at a very popular CA burger fast food eatery. You can get any burger on their menu with a veggie patty which they make themselves. It is not impossible or beyond and is more a black-bean patty with other vegetables smashed in it. I thought the patty and burgers were tasty overall. The one star was knocked off because they got our order wrong. After multiple repetitions that it was all vegetarian, no bacon, one member of the group did get bacon in her burger despite the patty being vegetarian. To be fair the manager was very apologetic and made a new one and refunded it also when the recipient pointed out the bacon mistake. We would be happy to come back again in the future! read more

I've officially become a fan of The Stand! Service was impressively fast, and there were multiple TVs playing the football game -- perfect for game day dining. There was plenty of clean seating available, and the space felt well-kept and inviting. What really stood out was how the staff handled everything. You order at the counter, but they bring your food out piping hot to your table and even check in to make sure you have everything you need. It's a nice blend of quick service and a real dine‑in experience. I also noticed staff constantly cleaning and helping guests -- one even stopped us as we were getting ready to leave, insisting they'd take care of cleaning up for us. Small touches like that really make a difference. The Stand won me over on my second visit, and after this experience, I'll definitely be coming back! I was treated to lunch by Jen and I welcomed the All-American menu. I purposely ate a light breakfast and got in a gym workout before coming here. My girlfriend had the Stand Burger and I ordered the Buffalo Chicken sandwich. We also split an order of fries. This sit down burger and sandwich shop seemed to be an enticing option for our group as it had a variety of different kinds of burgers and vegetarian options for one of our friends. This place has good burgers and sandwiches. I have been here quite a few times. This time I had a chicken club sandwich and chopped Cobb salad and fries. I told the staff I wanted to split the salad with my husband and she served the salad in two separate bowls. That was really nice of her. It made sharing a lot easier. They got burgers, salads, a good kids menu, and so much more. They have a lot of sauces you can choose from for dipping fries, chicken bites, etc. Keep note that this is one of those places that you order first, you get your meal and that is it. The people taking your order is quite friendly. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. The ultimate egg, and the kale quinoa salad with steak is a must try. The burger is pretty decent size and you can order the meat to be how you like it. The Quinoa Salad is the first time I have tried fried quinoa in a salad. Keep note that there is nuts, but it has a perfect balance of everything. If you want great American food, without having to have someone serve you, quick and easy, this is the place to go. Tell me why I came here expecting to eat a burger but I ended up craving veggies so much that I ate a salad and broccolini?! I felt so healthy and it was actually much more delicious than I expected. The broccolini had a great flavor and the salad was large so it was pretty filling. One of the highlights of the meal was the guac though from the guac and chips. It was so incredibly good that I recommend adding it to everything and I mean it. That said, balance is key, so I ordered some mac and cheese and a strawberry shake to eat with my fries and it was the perfect end to a Friday night. This is a great place to watch basketball games or baseball games now that the season has started so I'm looking forward to coming back and getting myself a burger next time, especially since the people at my table loved theirs. read more

Ordered through the app at the Chino Hills location. Quoted wait was 20 minutes, actual wait was 35. I get that dinner rush adds time, so that wasn't really the issue. What bothered me was that people who walked up to the counter after I arrived got their food before me. On top of that, it looked like part of my order was sitting ready while one item was holding things up. By the time I got home, the bun was soggy and most of the food was cold, well beyond what you'd expect for a normal to-go order. If one item is going to be delayed, it would make more sense to either hold the rest or fire it fresh once the slow item is up, rather than letting it sit and degrade. We ordered 2 Stand Burgers, blueberry lemonade (amazing), Frozen Paloma (tasty), French fries (basic tasting) and not as crunchy as they could have been. They offer a lot of different options to put on your burger (eggs, etc), and they jalapeño (pickled) was fantastic! The line to order had about 15-20 people in it. I finally get to try their chimichurri steak salad and cookie n cream shake. The salad did not disappoint at all!!! Very flavorful and crunchy. The salad dressing can be pretty strong so I suggest maybe ask for it on the side (it has a tangy and a little sweet taste). They have chimichurri on the steak but since the salad dressing is so strong, I cannot taste the chimichurri much. Also their onion rings are bomb! Crunchy and it was freshly made out. I was a fan of The Stand when there was a location in Westwood. The food at this location wasn't as good as I remembered. I have had better versions of the ABC (Avacodo, Bacon, Cheese) Burger (2 stars). I didn't eat all of it because I was really disappointed that it was at room temperature. I know there's a risk of food temperature being warm instead of hot for takeout. However, it tasted like it was only packaged to order rather than cooked to order. I enjoyed the Sweet Potato Fries (4 stars). I decided to dine here to give it another chance since my husband liked their Stand Burger, and his takeout order wasn't as cold as mine. Even though the temperature of the food was better, I just wasn't in love with the Onion Stack Burger (2 stars). The patty was a little dry, and the burgers toppings didn't really improve it. I ordered the Sweet Potato Fries again, which were still the best part of the meal. The service was an average of 3.5 stars (2 stars for takeout and 5 stars for dine in). They were kind and friendly.
