Delicious burger spot in the West Covina area!! Can't believe I haven't tried this place sooner. My husband and I both ordered the smashburger, I built my own but he ordered the one that was on the menu. The meat was cooked perfectly and they have a bunch of sauce to choose from. Came back after a long time bc I suddenly remembered I used to love their garlic cheese, but it wasn't the same anymore :( could barely taste the garlic cheese and there was so little of it, it was almost nonexistent! We've been here several times since my initial review and have always gotten a good meal and friendly service. The burgers are big, tasty, and can be messy, so prepare to use some napkins, or in my case, stains on my shirts! Salads are fresh and filling. The sides (fries, tator tots, etc.) are also very large portions. All food is made with fresh ingredients and super tasty. They're usually busy and there can be a wait, but it's well worth it. First time trying the place and wanted to eat something at a dot down restaurant after the Halloween festival. The place was crowded but there wasn't a wait at the time we came in. The staff seemed pretty busy and we noticed many tables were full of people who came for the dodger game which was live on tv. We were seated pretty quickly but the staff was a little confused at first and kind of asked each other to confirm things so we weren't sure if it was ok or not too. We sat in a small table and the seating was not individual seats, so we had to be careful sitting with someone who wants more leg room. We ordered carne asada fries, cheesesteak fries, onion rings, kids meal sliders, stinkin bun burger, and West Covina burger. I didn't really want to be adventurous and try the PB and J burger but i know someone would like to try.... The cheesesteak fries were the best and favorite, the carne asada fries were actually too salty. The onion rings were super crispy and the ranch goes well with them, but the teriyaki sauce was way too salty. The burgers are standalone, they were pretty big and had generous toppings. The stinkin burger had garlic cheese sauce but the garlic wasn't too strong which is good and it was a bit messy to eat because the onion rings slipped out while eating it. I enjoyed the West Covina burger and it was a regular burger with everything so it was a great comparison to the unique ones. Stopped in after seeing an influencer try this place. This might have been an off night for a Friday. I'm not sure if they were short on staff in the kitchen or just somewhat disorganized with the orders. We were seated within five minutes and noticed that the restaurant was busy - that's promising. We ordered our food and I chose to do a build your own burger. There were other ingredients in the burger that I didn't add like the bacon or pickles on the side and it was missing the bbq sauce and didn't notice the bun sauce. I thought the burger was what I ordered since I added the fried egg which I saw immediately. I don't think the egg really added anything to the taste. No yolk break at all when eaten. The burger patty itself is good since it tastes fresh like it was homemade. The onion rings had a thick batter and really thin onion. This was more batter than onion. Would probably pass on this and try the tater tots instead. The service was slow or not organized that night again not sure since this was our first visit. A couple that was seated AFTER us got their food and finished BEFORE we even got our order, and we ordered at the same time. The servers were nice though. This place is all about burgers, fries, and tater tots and since that's basically all we think about, it seemed like Bun Street was going to be the place for us. After staring at the menu and struggling to decide, we ended up just splitting an order of onion rings, an order of Buffalo Chicken fries (which is half french fries and half tater tots), as well as a "Stinkin' Bun Burger" which is a burger with onion rings, garlic cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, and garlic aioli. Onion Rings- These things were large, well battered, and covered in a tasty sauce. Buffalo Chicken Fries- This plate was absolutely massive and stacked to the brim with french fries, tater tots, and chicken. Every single thing on this plate tasted so good! Stinkin Bun Burger- I was a big fan of this burger even though I regret getitng one with onion rings on it. My wife and I split this in half and enjoyed it very much.
