I normally don't do fast food and now I know why, I understand that we are all going thru this pandemic together but let's try to make the best of it. I went to the drive thru about 20 min ago and when I got to the window I was given my total and proceeded to hand my card to the woman at the window and she nearly took my hand off when she grabbed my card out of my hand I thought hmmm and was going to let it go but then I asked for a packet of mayo and a knife and her response to me was, "A WHAT"!? I clearly repeated myself and asked for a knife, when she got back to the window she grabbed my bag and ripped it in the process of throwing it at me because that's what it looked and felt like. I then asked her name and asked if she was ok or was just having a bad day?!? I hoped for a better day for her but a paying customer should never be treated the way I was treated today. Araceli is her name and she should not be working the drive thru window with an attitude like she had today, before I drove off Araceli said to me sarcastically, "have a great day". I parked my car and called the restaurant hoping to speak to a manager or someone in charge to let them know what had just happened because a lot of times they may not know and I spoke to Gloria who stated that she was in charge and I proceeded to tell her what had just happened and of course she apologized because what else could she do, she promised to talk with Araceli, and I'm not looking to get anyone in trouble but today's little incident was totally uncalled for. This time I brought a friend here and both of us suffered discomfort from eating the food. Seeing as that I keep tasting the food I ate earlier in my nausea burps, I had washed my hands prior to eating the food, and we had previously not eaten anything, I have concluded that something here was bad, so I'm going to lower my most recent rating. This time, they honored the coupon I had used with no issue, but it was a complete waste of a coupon as we didn't feel well. However, the staff was nice to us. I pulled on it I make sure it wasn't the onion peel. I was hoping it'd be an onion peel as I'd already eaten it. It wasn't.I went to the counter- the lady at the register insisted it was an onion peel without taking a second look at it. I know what an onion peel looks like. I cook too- It was a long piece of thin end plastic. I pulled on it to show her it was definitely not an onion peel. Okay, never would I have thought I'd review a fast food restaurant, but here we are. Went through to get two large Diet Coke sodas. The menu didn't have drinks on it in the drive through. We got charged $6.34. For context, Chick-fil-A in the same shopping center charges $2.19 for a large soda, McDonald's charges $0.99. When we asked how it could be that much, the guy shrugged and said, "Each drink is like $3." Since we weren't offered a receipt, I have no idea how much the drinks cost here. Obviously the extra buck or two isn't that big of a deal, but on principle this seems kind of messed up, especially since for some people a couple dollars might actually matter. I'm also not sure how it's okay to just not post prices for items, not tell people what the prices are, and not give a receipt stating the price. So, in the rare event someone reads this, save some cash and go to Chick-fil-A (or literally anywhere else). read more

Why the 1 star rating? It's not only that In-N-Out and various burger joints (eg, The Habit, The Counter, Five Guys, etc) are much better, but Carl's Jr has actually gotten worse. The food quality has declined substantially over the years. After an initial bad experience at this particular location (Irvine Blvd), I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and tried again... and again. Then I stopped eating at Carl's Jr for a few years and returned recently to this location on a few occasions out of convenience. In addition to the below average tasting burger, the service at this particular franchise (Irvine Blvd) is atrocious. Not only have they gotten my order wrong repeatedly at the drive-thru (in two cases, I discovered the issue when I got home), but they can't even heat frozen zucchinis correctly. My zucchinis were undercooked on 3 separate occasions! They were literally inedible! While this level of poor service may not reflect all Carl's Jrs, I can't say the same for the food. The food is equally bad at all locations. What happened to the Carl's Jr I grew up eating? A Super Star and a Famous Star used to actually be decent tasting burgers. Even McDonald's manages to maintain the taste of their Big Mac. It may not be great food, but you still know what you're getting. I don't know what I'm getting any more with Carl's Jr and won't be dining here any longer. read more

Got off work late & this place just happened to be across the street so they ended up making me dinner. This is one of the locations that has the Green Burrito as a part of it as well, so I ordered a steak quesadilla combo w/crisscut fries & a medium tea. Quesadilla was pretty good & so we're the fries. I like my fries with the ranch/house dressing packet things & theirs tasted strangely watery- & these were the normal ones w/the foil rip off tops, not the packets or little cups they're doing now. I went to this location about a month or so ago but I had to write the review since it was the best customer service I had when getting Carl's Jr. I decided to get food here since it was fast and I only had 10 mins before I had to go to work. On my particular visit to this location, the cashier didn't know how to ring up my order (no sesame seeds) and was also about to charge me an extra $3 until I corrected her.
