Well, I needed something different for dinner. I was well aware of the FALSE ADVERTISING MENU, that shows the burger price in huge font, and the actual cost of a burger meal in small font. I went for a "double guacomole" burger combo. 2 minutes later they gave me a luke warm, obviously hastily reheated, double burger with maybe a teaspoon worth of guacamole, and cold fries, for....... $20.50 I suppose this Carl Jr could be best described as, a place for non-discerning, one time tourists, with money to burn. read more

Not sure if this is normal or the math of 2 times 2 equals 3 is correct but current common core math, but I received the incorrect amount of patties. We came in to use the restroom and order a couple of double westerns and were met with a "do we do that?" I believe he meant to ask his supervisor that question, but it was verbally directed at me and his POS system. I said, "don't you? It's the two-patty version of the western?!" He then signaled his supervisor who introduced him to the miracle of doubling a party amount. He asked if that'll be it. And I said, 2 of those, right? Just 2 double westerns. He acknowledged, we used the decently kept up restrooms (which is above par for commuter towns), received our order and headed off. While my wife was unpacking, she discovered that one of the Doubles did not have 2 parties. We checked the receipt and noticed he entered a double as just a 'western', omitting the double requested. So I let my sone have the double as I trudged through the said patty the call a non-double western. (FYI I'm putting an emphasis on the fact that you shouldn't be eating a western from this establishment without the second patty. Unless it's 1/3 pound after cooking or greater.) This is the tail end of our trip upon returning home and ended things on a sour note. Shame on this location for almost going two stars for a not bad restroom. read more

My family and I stopped by to grab some lunch and the tones of voice and drive thru to order our meal met all of our needs and exceeded our expectations. The restaurant and restroom was clean. Friendly staff - Antonio was very helpful and friendly. Yesenia smiled and greeted us with such enthusiasm. They care about their customers... we shared such smiles I'm so happy and pleased that we stopped by to have such a memorable moment. I want to do a review for the 1551 Pacheco Blvd Carl's Jr. The one infront of WalMart. My son and I want to go back but now, we have to drive all the way across town or drive to Santa Nella, I don't think that's kool.. This is the 2nd time going in, my son is Class A driver and I work FT Career Advisor. The same elderly hispanic worker, "Antonio", was very rude, there was nobody in the resturant and he literally denied my son 2 ranches one for him, I had to go up for my own ranch. one for me, he literally stood at the front counter staring at us like we were doing something wrong. He denied my son a refill and was trying to tell him one filling per visit. He was so wrong, this is his 2nd time treating us like this and we spend close to $35 each visit. I asked for management info and he ignored me like he didn't hear me, he stood at the front talking crap about us like if we didn't understand him. When a spanish speaking customer came in, oh he was so nice, we speak spanish and could understand him. He has no business in customer service treating hard working, paying customers like this. I was able to provide feeedback and a man called me back saying they would have to retrain him and we should not have been treated like that, twice. We want to go eat at Carl's, we like the burgers and onion rings, but just don't want pay for that service and so now have to drive to another town or clear across town!! Why are we inconvenienced because the worker, antonio, has personal issues. We are paying customers and pay alot too!! When I'm working, I'm not paid to bring my personal feelings to work, both times my son and I had a decent day at work and went happy to wind down, not cook and to pay to be treated like that!! Well, it's fast food, but au least it lives up to its name. Food: I stopped by driving up the I-5 and just wanted to grab a quick bite. Yesterday I stopped in with my mom, sister, and niece after driving since 7 in the morning yesterday. After constant traffic jams and several hours of driving we just wanted a hot meal and the ability to enjoy it. We got just that yesterday. We had to wait sometime due to the fact that many tour buses happen to stop at this (prior knowledge). I was already predetermined that my food was going to be cold and probably taste like crap. Well it was quite the opposite! The food warm and by far tasted like the best burger I had ever had. Food is always up to par and fulfilling. Diner and restrooms are clean and decent. Hence our two stars! I have never been to a diner where you up to the manager to notify them the lack of toilet paper in the restrooms and she returns with a roll and hands you the store keys and asks you "the customer" to put it in yourself. We found a bright spot in Los Baños tonight. The supervisor here, Luis, gave us exceptional service above and beyond what we expected. It was like dining at a full-service restaurant! Incredible. Luis is the type of employee who makes eating at Carl's Jr. an enjoyable experience. Side note: Thanks to his leadership, this Carl's Jr. stayed open in their dining room until midnight, just as was posted on their sign. The remarkable part is that NONE of the other restaurants we stopped at were open even though they had similar signs posted! That's how we ended up here. Great food, by the way. read more

Been here 4 months now and I've been to CJs in my former home town. Sadly, I tried the teriyaki burger . It was AWFUL. I will give them another chance with something else - but never again the teriyaki burger. The bun was burnt and then made sogy with the crazy amount of sauce. It was just a mess. I peeled off the soggy paper, it revealed a lopsided unbalanced, carelessly made, over soggy sauced sandwich with wilted lettuce.
