Carls is only 6 blocks away from home...only ordered the second time....the Carls Double....it was disappointing for sure! The bun was soggy the lettuce and tomato unlike in out burger was just a wilted mess...sorta like it was steamed and soggy. Carl's Jr customer service is nonexistent! I have called but their number does not work! Went to their website and filed a request that asked what the policy is for "Senior Discount" in June and again in August and have yet to get a response. The manager Raul refuses to give a discount and when he give back your change - it's "short"? I think this is deplorable and that Raul needs to informed that what he is doing reflects poorly on Carl's but maybe Carl's does not care given their non-response! Went thru the drive thru and ordered two 5 piece chicken strip meals large. When I got home I opened up my order to see 2 strips in one box and 3 in the second container. The fries were actually the worst I have ever had from here. They were soggy and cold. Had to turn off my car while waiting for the guy in front of me at the drive-through. Then when I got to the window put in park, and should've turned off my car. So make sure you're willing to pay for your food AND gas lol. Finally got my order. But when I got to the park for a picnic with my little girl I saw no napkins and no catsup. If I could give it zero stars I would.. the little Mexican girl named iris is a HORRIBLE employee I heard her talking bad about another employees girlfriend IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS! She was rude to me when I told her she shouldn't be doing that! I over heard her tell her employees that she usually disconnects the phones after a certain point in the night so she doesn't have to deal with the complaints before they close... the food was cold and gross and guess what the phones were "busy" from 9 pm to whenever they closed. I have not been there since March, but let me explain my experience before that. There are not that many choices in this town. If there were, this place would be out of business. They have no nearby competition, so that is the only reason they can still be operating. BTW, the location downtown is much better in just about every way. But many of their customers are not too clean if you are not hard of smelling, and they often try to hit you up for a quarter. Nevertheless, the employees put up with it, and act a cut above, especially compared to here. If the two locations are owned by the same owner, that would be hard to figure. I don't want this location to go out of business, because having something there is better than having nothing there. The empty Sam's behind it helps to give the whole area an even more depressing feeling. A bird in the hand... The people are decidely not friendly, and almost overtly unfriendly. They act like they are doing you a favor. Trying to utter couple of words of pleasant conversation (like "nice day") gets you a blank look. Seems like they have a lot of turnover, probably because this looks like an awful place to work. They are always short of employees. I have been in there several times when only one person was in sight; this person handled the cash register and the food. When I see more than one person, one of them is often outside smoking, coming in o shovel up a french fry order when needed. In the AM, they usually have to "make" coffee when I order it. Very unprofessional. How can any worthwhile place not always have boiling, fresh coffee during every single minute of service before 10AM? The drive-thru lane always takes precedence over those standing in line. This happens down the street at the best burger joint in town too, but the employees there are humping it so danged hard, smiling all the while, so it is completely easy to forgive them. The music blaring from the four televisions is irritating. They have very good (not healthy) biscuits when you luck out and get a hot one (hence, two stars -- and if you ever come back, the place deserves two stars) . This is the only thing that makes me come back. However, 80% of the time, the bacon is undercooked, and the other 20% of the time it is barely cooked. Crisp bacon is TOTALLY unknown here. I attribute this to possible employee laziness, a general don't-give-a-damn attitude that pervades the place, and the overall feeling of impending doom. It's easy to make fast work of cooking bacon when you don't cook it -- and it does save energy. If they get bacon "pre-cooked" from a supplier, they need a new supplier. The napkin/coffee/straw/soft drink section is disgusting. However, the restaurant overall generally appears clean, at least out where the customers sit. There are a couple of other choices down the road; almost all of them would be a better choice, and they do 10X the business. I don't want to give the names, because some of them are too crowded to squeeze any more customers in, and I like to eat inside. That's mainly because their employees are top notch, and mainly that they have fun while doing a good job. Which is something this location could learn from. read more

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! i went through the drive-thru and ordered a chicken strip meal. we picked it up, and drove off. i opened my box and looked at my three very small, sad, chicken strips. ok, whatever, i cant eat much anyway. i picked one up, and COLD. cold and hard! i then touched the other ones and they were ALL cold and hard. i turned around, went into the place, and very politely asked for a replacement order. the manager at the register ROLLED HIS EYES at me, and then told me it would be 15-20 minutes. ummm...ok? he took my chicken strips, slammed them on the counter next to a worker in the back who seemed very startled, and then went to put on gloves. i re-evaluated my situation and then told him i would just like a refund instead of sit there for 15-20 minutes for chicken strips. he rolled his eyes again, and then told the drive-thru worker to issue me a refund but "only for the strips" since i ate some of the sub-par fries and didnt bring in the drink. whatever. went across the way to culver's for a much better meal anyway. :) One star because yelp won't let me do zero or take any away. Once again a big let down, 5 people inside with food already and one car in front me in drive thru. Waited over 20 mins. Management said customers purchasing $50 plus dollar orders with coupons and short staff. Well with the above customers even short staffed should not have been 20 mins. About a month prior ordered the chicken sandwich only tp get home and it was not cooked at all I. The middle and still cold,like it was just thrown in the microwave. Don't with the poor customer service and slow as a sloth wait time when virtually almost no one their definitely with chik fil LA next door going through atleast 15 cars in the same amount of time. Took a few minutes for someone get to the speaker and found 2 vehicles in front of me - should not be a big deal. Yeah right, 18 minutes later had my food. I ordered the double cheeseburger with jalapenos. Double means 2 burgers of which I got 1!!! The burgers are small to begin with so to only serve 1 left me still hungry. Good thing I had a protein bar and some fruit in the room. I called to complain and her response was...sorry for the inconvenience we are training a new person. I like their food and our cashier, Sedona, was warm and friendly. We don't eat at Carl's often but when we do, we enjoy it.

I keep forgetting NOT to come back here. I really like Carl's Jr. But this location needs to get their crap together. If you don't have at LEAST 30 min to spare, don't come here. It doesn't matter if you're 1st or 5th in line, you're going to wait. Then you finally get your food and it looks like it was thrown together by a toddler and then placed under a heat lamp for an hour. 7 out o 10 times my order is messed up or missing something and I have to go inside to fix it.
