This is a cool chain restaurant that is located inside Cliff Castle Casino. I've been to the one in Vegas and it is similar. The decor is fun and the service was excellent. I ordered the rocket double with tots and wasn't disappointed. It was worth the trip through the casino.. it was a little pricey, but people probably drop more than that in a slot machine on the way out. I would go back for the cool vibe of the place. read more

Ate at this same Johnny Rockets the last time I blew through here, which was a LONG time ago. Amazed, pleased, surprised to see some vegan options including a burger and - WHAT?! - a shake! That is treating the customer right. To be able to enjoy the true Johnny Rockets retro hamburger joint shake joint experience. Thank you so much. Our server was fantastic as well. read more

I frequently eat here when I go to the casino and usually I have no issues, however the last time I visited I experienced terrible service. When my party walked in, we were told to seat ourselves and we picked a booth table right next to the entrance. All we wanted were some shakes. We sat there for forty minutes and not once did a worker take our order; in fact, they passed us multiple times. We decided to just place a to go order at the register. The lady serving us had a very short attitude and yelled at us. After we ordered a few milkshakes, we stood at the counter for twenty minutes waiting for them. Conveniently located inside the Cliff Castle Casino. You will work up an appetite for a burger and some tater tots after a few hours of gambling. Friendly staff, fresh food and fair prices. Lots of parking...and after you eat you can bowl at the bowling alley, it's about 20 feet away. read more

We were in the Cliff Casino today and saw this restaurant that definitely brought back some nostalgia. I haven't seen a Johnny Rockets restaurant in years and we were very happy to sit down for lunch. Our burgers and fries were very tasty. Our server was also a kind young man, but towards the end, we had to wait a while and track him down just to pay our bill. The only thing that was a bummer was at the jukeboxes located on each table were not in working order. According to our server, the owners had 'unplugged them' a year or two prior, more than likely due to Covid. Just a side note: Bring them back! The people want to hear music again!!! read more

Surprisingly good! It's a chain and usually food from a chain place could be subpar. But everything was good here! Fries was fresh and onion rings were super crispy. I shared a plate with another person in the group and they even split the dish. Server was very nice and attentive as well. read more

Yes, Johnny Rockets it is. Unfortunately, it's located in the back of the smoke filled casino. So yeah... this place is a hamburger joint made to look like the old 50's diner. It's cute and clean. We were seated right away. Our waiter David was the best. Super friendly and outgoing. David took our order and it took about 15 minutes to get it. In the meantime he came over and entertained us with his ketchup art. Give that guy a raise. So yeah, everything tasted great. Hot and fresh off the grill. Everyone was satisfied. read more

Well we made it a point to stop here for dinner on way home from Grand Canyon. What a mistake & BIG disappointment! Waitress was nice enough...but that's it. Food served was absolutely garbage...note to cooks in gallery -less talking and more attention to what you are serving please! Management ought to really do a sit in inspection and try to eat what these guys are serving up. This was a great stop for eats in the past...but things have gone down hill. People work hard for their money to spend here so it is your responsibility to hold up your end of the deal. Should of went to Sonic instead...probably better on my wallet & "food" you guys served up. read more

This place is located inside the Cliff Castle Casino, which is its only downfall. The smoke wasn't as bad as we expected from the other reviews but it does smell like musty, smokey casino, if that is a smell. The restaurant appeared clean and well maintained and the service was excellent! Our server was attentive, and took our order immediately. Once ordered, our food arrived quickly. The hamburger was very good as were the fries. Upon leaving, all of the staff waived at us and told us to have a great evening. If you want a good burger with good service this place does the trick. read more

I went with friends for a last meal together before they left the area for the winter. A fun atmosphere, in the casino next to the bowling alley so I imagine it's a great place for families. I was surprised that they were able to easily accommodate a vegan/vegetarian as I hadn't been to a Johnny Rockets for several years, the last being located in Freeport Maine. I ordered the vegan strawberry shake with the Original Burger opting for the whole wheat bun and Boca Burger & fries, very delicious and well done. My carnivorous friends both sampled my order and were equally impressed. The only reason for the 4 stars was the price, for 3 people, 2 burgers, 1 philly cheese steak sandwich, 3 shakes with an add on of chili (for one fry) and avocado (for on burger) it was over $80 before tipping. Not very family budget friendly. read more

Johnny Rockets is an interesting place. They thrive on nostalgia by playing older music & having the waiting staff come out with nickels to give you to put in for this music machine that sits on your table. So, obviously it's been a while since I've been to one. They don't do the nickels in the machines anymore; they updated that by providing patrons with an app to select music to dine to instead. Our waitress was very nice; she got some team members out to dance for us during our dinner & offered my youngest a kids menu & crayons. Food was hot & came out as ordered. read more

Always served with a smile and burgers are a classic! Very family friendly and located right by a bowling alley! So glad to find out they remodeled everything, non smoking casino and even changed the floors so that smoker smell didn't stick around. WORST hamburgers we have ever had! Was delivered by DoorDash (which was fine) the original double was a single, missing the extras ordered and the onion rings, cheese was burnt, it was very small and tasted horrible. The second burger was a single with the same problems. Paid $75 without the dasher tip. Will Never order from them again. This was the first time and last. Horrible quality and outrageous prices! Now we know. Just hoping to save others the pain. read more

I was happy to see Johnny Rockets inside Cliff Castle casino. I was a little reluctant to eat here with my mother because she is not happy if she has a bad meal. You'll hear it for months. I ordered for her, the Original burger and I had the Black Bean Garden burger. Fries were yummy and the wine ... always goes perfect with burgers and fries. read more

We were staying at the hotel upstairs (part of the casino) and were very pleased to not have to venture out of the hotel to get something to eat. The casino offerings looked pretty sub-par so we were actually excited to see a notable chain option. The only reason they are not getting the full 5 stars is that the casino smoke was overwhelmingly disgusting. Would be great if they could have sectioned themselves off a bit more so that the smoke wasn't so bothersome. Very friendly and fast service. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food was way better than I was expecting it to be as well. I had the garden salad and my husband got chicken fingers and onion rings. Everything was actually really tasty, I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy a chain restaurant so much. The casino has a huge free parking lot and it was easy to find spaces even on a busy Saturday night. read more

Keeping in mind that this is first and foremost a "burger joint" in a casino, then food, cost and service are primary concerns. This visit found the food to be very good. The burger was properly cooked and well dressed. The server was exceptionally willing to "dress" it even further to our requests. The chili cheese tots were good and more than a meal by themselves. Bacon was on the fatty side, but still tasty and acceptable. Cost averaged about $10 per person, still less than the casino offering. Drinks were $3, a bit higher than usual for the area. Our server, Nikki, did a fine job helping us with serving the food quickly and hot, AND she kept our soda glasses full at all times. Well done, Nikki! For a "burger joint " in a casino, this Johnny's rockets to nearly the very top! read more

When you are traveling the highway this is a great restaurant to eat at. I ate the grilled chicken sandwich it was very large and filling it comes with unlimited free fries. Our waiter was great his named is Peter he was very kind communicated well quick to serve us with our food even though it was packed on christmas day he still he asked us several times throughout our meals if theres anything he can do for us. It took them 20 minutes to have someone even bring a menu by on a Monday night. There were 3 other tables with food and 5-6 that had nothing yet.. sadly the cook looked like he was cranking things out but the food was building up and nobody was picking it up for several minutes. read more

I'm surprised by all the 1 and 2 star reviews. While this is not a gourmet burger place and you should be aware of that when you walk in the door, it's inexpensive and the service is great. We sat down to have a couple burgers (I had one of the turkey variety). We both got the mushroom-swiss and I gotta say the mushrooms were fantastic. I was impressed with how great they tasted. I forgot to order a salad instead of fries, but that's OK because the fries were piping hot, salted perfectly and I can just go to the gym sometime this week. Our server was exceptional, I wish I would have caught her name. She joked around with us and made sure to check on us after receiving our lunch. I have zero complains of this location. read more

We were stuck eating at this restaurant during our recent trip to Sedona. We stayed at the casino and were tired from a long road trip. We went downstairs and found this restaurant open. Service was extremely slow. I ordered a grilled cheese. It was the most disgusting grilled cheese. Imagine a stiff bread with a hard one slice of fake cheese stuck to it. Not melting, not warm, just a hard piece of cheese stuck to one bread. The saddest grilled cheese ever. read more

I kid you not, this was the best burger & fries I have ever had in my life! The bacon was real applewood cooked to perfection, ripe thick tomatoes, & delicious, fresh, thick slice of white onion on a soft pretzel bun. What started out as a day so bad my fiancé and I had to rent a car and get out of town. We stopped at the Cliff Castle Casino just to grab a bite to eat. Best decision ever! On top of everything our server Nikki (who was the only one on duty) was old school friendly, even though she had to handle a restaurant full of customers. Went here with my family when I took them bowling. Wings and onion rings were fine but they lost the order for all our shakes and ice cream. Waited forever and finally left to go bowling. The brought them out after about 1 hour and were mediocre quality. The chocolate peanut butter shakes came out vanilla with just some reeses pieces mixed in. No peanut flavor since all they did was break the candy shells off in the mixer and the peanut butter centers were all at the bottom, in tact. After an hour they didn't even offer to comp them at all! We had ordered 2 shakes split for thr kids and they made them whole ones because they didn't want to split them. That was a waste because they didn't even finish them. read more

Although I am generally not a fan of going into casinos to eat, Camp Verde has somewhat limited burger options, so we gave Johnny Rockets a try. The restaurant is very clean and the burgers and fries were pretty good too. Cute little 50s decor. Staff was friendly and efficient. Would eat there again. read more

If you care about cleanliness, rank smells and good seating don't choose this place. I am shocked we haven't gotten sick yet. Some of their servers hand you the silverware by touching the end you eat from & it did not look clean, we noticed a rank smell a few times recently, and I did not feel well after our last visit there which was recently. We plan to never go there again, at the Johnny Rockets located in the Cliff Castle Casino in Camp Verde, AZ, next to the inside bowling alley. Just saying...the choice is yours. Trish S read more

I came here with a group of friends for my first time and was not at all disappointed! Our waiter was super cool and friendly, the food, oh my gosh the food. The burgers were hot, greesy, big, and amazing! The frys were fresh, crispy and super tasty. Then the milk shakes, rich, creamy, delicious, and perfect to go with a burger. Enjoyed the food and even though they were shortstaffed, the server and the rest of the crew did an exceptional job getting the orders out and the food correct. The Salted Caramel shake was blended well and the burger was quite tasty. If I'm ever back out this way I will keep this place in mind. read more

In spite of the low reviews, we stopped in for lunch. The guys got a burger with fries and I had a chicken salad. We were all pleasantly surprised. The salad greens were fresh and there was enough chicken on the salad. Both of the men said the hamberger was good, and they especially liked the sweet potatoe fries. Win-win Management and staff has changed, for the better from previous. Staff is friendly, efficient and professional. I live in town and we have few choices, but our choices are consistent and down to earth. The Roost is great for travelers and residents alike, who are seeking good food and atmosphere! I've been impressed with the sense of community the restaurant provides to all.

They have daily specials and I took advantage of today's special. A 16-oz beer and the Robbie cheeseburger for $11. I'm sorry, that's an amazing deal and well worth it. The cheeseburger was juicy and full of flavor (see the pics). I couldn't eat it all and took half home for later. It doesn't come with fries, like the normally priced option, so I ordered the jalapeño cheese curds again. I haven't had them since my first review and these came out hot and spiced just right. NOT greasy at all, which is amazing period. Again, I wish they had a chipotle or spicy ranch option for sauce, but the ranch did its job. The times I've been here I've found the food consistent. Service is always good...one bartender/server runs the day shift and she's good. Rimrock food options are slim, but the menu here is vast and there is something for everyone. Definitely a solid choice in VV for locals or if you're passing through!

I opted for the "small" ($8.50) over the" large" ($13) and it was a beautiful salad both in presentation and taste. But the salad portion of the menu also said one could "add chicken or smoked turkey" ($4) or "add beef brisket" ($5) and I did. Did you just tell me I could get a perfect, tasty, ample salad with a separate, robust and delicious side of BBQ beef brisket for $13.50? I wasn't just ready to fly to Arizona; I was ready to move to Cottonwood. This meal was delicious. A "small platter of smoked brisket" ($14.50) was enjoyed equally by another at my table but, with my bowlful of brisket, I paid little attention to that other meal. My attention instead was aimed at a nearby table's indulgence in the smoked Mac-n-cheese ($4.75) and Cheesy Jalapeño Corn Bread ($4). Jealous I was, for I had no room for anything more. What a winner. COLT Grill might be half the reason I return to this area in the future.

We originally thought this would be typical drive-in fare, but the quality and freshness exceeded my expectations. It's really a step above most other similar greasy diner and drive-in establishments. Burgers here are extremely customizable. To save time waiting in line, Bing's provides slips of paper by the counter to fill in for ease of ordering. Simply fill one out and pay at the register to get an order started. A lot of items seem to be made fresh to order, so the food took about 20 minutes to arrive. Deluxe Burger, Bacon Jam, Mayo, Lettuce, Onion, Tomato, Pickle ($10.25) - This is a huge burger, tall enough to make it difficult to compress enough to fit in the mouth. They use pretty high quality ingredients here and seem to hand cut the veggies. The lettuce is nice and crisp, the tomato is thick cut and fresh, the red onion is an entire slice instead of rings. The pickles are much larger than typical chips but still have that kind of neon-green sheen to them. Mayo is only spread on the top bun slice, enough to lubricate the burger, but not too much to become too messy to eat. The burger patty is excellent. It seems to be made from fresh beef and then only slightly smashed from a ball on the flat top. It's a THICK patty, served piping hot with good char and robust beefy flavor. The interior is cooked until well done with no pink, but it's not dried out at all, and there's more than enough moisture coming from the other ingredients to balance it out. The bacon jam that I added for $1 is a fantastic addition. It's sweet from sugars and caramelized onion and full of bacon umami. The burger as a whole isn't very greasy at all. (5/5) Large Hand Cut Fries ($6) - The fries are relatively thin, shoestring-like, fried to a darker golden brown giving a good caramelized potato flavor. The interiors remain mostly fluffy, although some of the smaller fries approach being dry. The exteriors are mostly crisp, but much softer than, say, battered fries. The fries are appropriately salted and peppered, meaning that they are nice to eat without any accompanying ketchup or other dip. They are on the more oily side compared to some other places. (4/5) Bing's serves food with really fresh flavors. It's simple fare, but very high quality. I'd definitely return for more if I'm ever back in town. Bathrooms - One unisex room outside the restaurant on the North side. Note: Bing's charges a 3% credit card fee. This is labeled on the menu (actually the menu states 3.9% fee)
