I was here about a week ago and got a couple of burgers and Animal Fries to-go. I didn't notice until after I reached my destination that I only received one napkin (which was placed on top of my burgers and thus covered in cheese and sauce) and no fork for the fries. I lived by one of the original In-In-Outs the majority of my life, even ate there several times before I began my 60 days of travel around America. This In-In-Out in Prescott, AZ had the very best Double-Double Cheeseburger of any In-In-Out I have ever been too. I'm not sure what they do different here, but I'd say it was a perfect hamburger. This location is one of the newer versions with an indoor dining area and it looked awesome at night. It wasn't as crowded as the In-In-Out by my old house in California, where the cars line up for four blocks, but it was busy in the drive thru and inside. I like the way the kitchen area is open and you can watch the employees cooking, cleaning and working the drive thru. Emily Jo was my cashier twice in 20 minutes and she was so nice both times. Around 10:30 PM they were VERY busy with the high school crowd and also a motorcycle show maybe? I misspoke while ordering and forgot to order fries. Our burgers probably took around 15 minutes which was pretty darn quick because of how long the drive thru line was too! Once it came up, I realized I forgot to order fries with our food, totally willing to just eat our burgers and wait for our fries, I ventured back into the long line, Emily was so friendly, we had a nice conversation for a moment and she got our fries out so quickly even though it was my mistake. The absolute best burgers in fast food. Well run as there was a huge line that they got through fast with good organization. Really wanted to give 5 stars, but the fries were ice cold-- and how they managed that with the line moving so fast was a bit of a mystery. Plus the $2 chocolate shake was just not good at all. Tasted like cold chocolate flavored corn syrup. I get why it's only $2. That said, go there, get a double burger and make sure your fries aren't frozen and you'll enjoy it. read more

First time...and last! Visiting from Orange County, CA with my motorhome, parked at the Walmart parking lot. On the same lot I saw In n Out, figured I don't have to drive for a burger, even though there is a Carl's within the store. So I ordered a "double double " with lettuce, onion and tomatoes with NO PICKLES AND NO KETCHUP. The guy told me that the sauce has pickles in it. So then I asked for to substitute with mayo. He said they don't have mayo, but they will pick out the pickles from the sauce. I said fine, but make sure all pickles are out. I was guest number 93. Waited 19 minutes until my number finally came up. The burger was nothing to write home about it, BUT THE FRIES were a disaster. COLD, DRY, STIFF, HARD and tasteless, I don't care if they just dug their potatoes just out of the dirt. Chewing on wood chips probably would have tasted better then what they served me. I have no idea the hype about In 'n Out, not just this particular restaurant, but in general, because their burgers isn't any better than McDonalds' or Carls. And besides the tasty burgers, Carls fries beats the heck out of the wood chip fries this joint served me. However, credit to the person who picked the pickles out of the sauce, did a great job. The fries were fresh and warm; they weren't too salty. Their signature spread is the cherry on top. I highly recommend trying it. The shakes are one of my favorite;, they are pure perfection. There were way too many people in this location when I entered and people were definitely not 6-meters apart. Some tables were blocked off, but nowhere near enough. I got a cheeseburger with whole grilled onion and chilis and a fries, and they were delicious as always. I ate at the outside tables to avoid covid, and the fries were piping hot. The cheeseburger was like any other In-N-Out's cheeseburger and it was great! Definitely love In-N-Out, but maybe do not eat here or get drive-through. Yeah...it was a really good burger for a fast food place. So much better than Culvers in Precott Valley and even better than 5 guys across the way. I remember trying my first In-and-out burger in Vegas and thought how aweful those burgers tasted. Cold, dry, bland and hardly no toppings. Glad I gave them a second chance because this In-and-out burger was delicious. Super moist burger, plenty of toppings on a nicely toasted bun. And...only $2.23 for 1 burger.
