I finally decided to come here after my children's pediatrician recommending it for years, and I was at my last straw with the long wait times and disorganization at my nearest CVS. It's a small location with usually just the pharmacist working but her store is very organized, she's more than willing to fill the prescription right away and she has all the prescriptions we need available as well as lots of over-the-counter options as well. She helped me with advice regarding my toddler's congestion and took her time explaining how to use the medications. She has reasonable prices as well for OTC and of course prescription meds are the same price as the bigger box pharmacies using my insurance. I feel really happy with my decision to switch my kids over to her pharmacy and I think I will switch myself over as well. read more

I started going to San Marcos Pharmacy four months ago. I previously went to Ralph's but had very bad experiences, one being they LOST my prescription! Disaster! Anu is a miracle worker. I have always filled prescriptions at Ralph's. Ralph's said Tricare as secondary insurance would not split the bill, so it never kicked in. The pharmacist is cheapskate, don't care about people, told me on few occasions that she don't have my meds because it's not popular and no one else in San Marcos, but me, getting this meds! At the same time she told me that her wholesale supplier back order this meds, due to high demands! Go figure! *Not reliable *No availability, always back order. *Cheapskate, she rather lose customer than order right away at higher price from another supplier. * Profit above all - should be motto of this pharmacy. * Greed * Don't care * Majority of prescriptions are back order. * Majority of meds are out of stock (mine never in stock) * Keep you on the hook with prescription, after you drop it off, expecting to pick up in 1 hour. Instead pharmacist call and tell you it's going to be 5 business days?! Wtf?! (Especially around weekends). Some meds don't meant to be taken every 5 days! Disappointed!!!!! This has to be the best pharmacy I have ever gone to bar none. I have regular medications that are filled on the monthly basis as well as the occasional odd one and Anu always comes through. I am always greeted with a smile and she actually knows my name when I walk in the door. There's a shocker! Try getting that kind of service from one of the big pharmacies who just see us as another one of the cattle. You say sure, you have had a good experience but, I have some that come close with my current pharmacy. Will they come in after hours to make sure you have the medications you need? I travel a lot for work and prescription renewal dates don't always work out to fall on the right days and folks forget from time to time. Anu actually came in at 8PM on a Saturday night to make sure I had my medications for a trip that was to start on Sunday as I had forgotten to get it taken care of. She even offered to drop it off at my house! I would never expect this on a regular basis of course but the fact that Anu was willing to do this for me was just over the top. I want to give a shout-out to this wonderful pharmacy! The pharmacy was getting ready to close on a Sat. afternoon of this 3-day holiday weekend. My 91 year-old father realized that he'd run out of his diabetes medication. His regular pharmacy at the VA was closed and there was NO WAY to get his medication by tomorrow. I called San Marcos Pharmacy in a desperate attempt to get some advice on maybe somewhere I could go to get his medicine. They offered to give him enough to get him through the long weekend and they STAYED OPEN for an extra 15 min until I could get there!!
