This place is THE BEST! I had gone to other Chiropractors in the past and couldn't tell if it was working. They always pressured me into going SO often. This review is long overdue but better late than never. First off Dr. Jacobs is amazing, he is very friendly and truly tries to help with any issues. I have the normal wear and tear back pain and go to Dr. Jacobs for adjustments. I feel like a new man walking on clouds whenever I leave his office. The real reason for writing this review is because I believe Dr. Jacobs helped my wife and I have our second child. My wife and I were trying to have a baby for two years with no luck. A friend of ours recommended we go see a chiropractor. We were skeptical at first but thought it couldn't hurt. My wife and I didn't change anything during the two years of trying to have a baby besides starting to see Dr. Jacobs on a bi-weekly basis. Both my wife and I started to see Dr. Jacobs in April 2021. And at the end of June 2021 my wife took a pregnancy test (well, multiple pregnancy tests) and they were all positive. This is an update to my previous review a few years ago. It had been quite a while since I had been in due to Covid, but I started working out again and pinched something in my lower back, and was also having some mild and annoying vertigo issues. Called for a walk-in as we are leaving for a vacation in a couple of days and, as always, they were so accommodating. He and his staff are highly trained and professional that I haven't been able to find another Chiropractic practice since moving here in Washington DC. Not all chiropractors are the same. I can attest to this because I've been to a lot of different ones over the last 20 years, in different cities and countries. Here's what to look for- chiropractor who: - Listens to your complaints and asks detailed questions each and every time you visit - Is skilled with her/his hands (doesn't completely rely on gadgets and technology) - Offers suggestions for self care at home (could be exercises, dietary changes, use of heat/cold or natural remedies) - Provides education about your particular health situation - what to avoid; prevention of future injury; how to maintain wellness - Is intuitive- Can find underlying problems in the anatomy that are related to the pain. (the pelvis may be out of alignment and causing pain because leg muscles are tight or ligaments are inflamed, etc) -Is resourceful, has many "tools in the toolbox" (Can take different approaches to solving problems) - Treats each visit uniquely. Doesn't get into a routine of doing the same thing without adequate assessment each time. - Treats each patient with respect, regards of their complaints or overall health condition. I can confidently say that Dr. Jacobs is all of the above. I truly appreciate his attention to detail and his ability to discover the body's subtle changes and responses as it evolves in its presentation throughout the course of treatment. read more

Dr. Jacobs is great! I injured my back exercising, and was walking hunched over, in excruciating pain. I'm usually very responsive to Ibuprofen, but even large doses hardly helped. My pain was constantly 8-9/10... I was reluctant to take pain medications, as they wouldn't really address my posture (which was adding to the pain). Dr. Jacobs was able to reduce my pain by 60% the day after my injury. Impressed by the results, I went in for another visit the next day... again he helped reduce my pain significantly, enough to work that day. He recommended some gentle exercises/stretches that really helped (when I remembered to do them!). Over the weekend I went on a long walk and aggravated my back once again. Dr. Jacobs called me to follow up, and another day or two later I went to get work by him again. Now I'm a week out from my injury and I have a little achiness, mostly in my hips and legs... I'm pretty pleased with that. I haven't had to take any more Ibuprofen. read more

Dr. Jacobs has been a godsend for my family. We are not new to chiropractic but had lapsed in going due to the cost. Dr. Jacobs and his wife, Angie, are a CLASS ACT! They are so personable and caring and accommodating too! I walked into his office one day while walking my dog in the area. I was 5 months PREGNANT and my SCIATIC NERVE pain was paralyzing! I could barely walk, and more importantly, play with my 3-year-old. After one visit to Dr. Jacobs, I was instantly able to function! I've never visited a chiropractor. Truthfully, I'm against getting my bones adjusted and saw it as being unnecessary. However, I was in a pretty serious car accident last year and at my coworkers recommendation to visit a chiropractor to help with the soreness and toughness in my neck and shoulders, I found Carlsbad Wellness Chiropractic. All of my visits were short and due to the impact on my muscles and body, Dr. Jacobs used tools to address the inflammation. I went everyday right after the accident and the pain/ toughness was mostly gone at the end of the week!
