Very spacious, they always have bags for poop. Even if it's a park, there are just a few places with dirt, very clean!

I can honestly say I love this dog park and had an incident where two dogs attacked my pup. There's this pitbull my dog is TERRIFIED of so whenever that dog is around, she becomes timid. I believe all the dogs can smell the fear in her and she had played with the dogs that attacked her before. The owner did know the dogs were acting all crazy when the owner brought them. I believe this on top of my dog being timid, it is the reason she got attacked. I believe the park is great, but I probably won't go if that dog continues to be there since my dog is so afraid of the dog. read more

Great place to bring the dogs! Always has friendly people, adorable dogs, and has a lot of space for the dogs to run and play. Parking can be a bit rough because Mt. Rubidoux folks like to park there and hike but I haven't had too much trouble. There's obstacle courses, small dog play areas, and of course the main park. Mature trees offer great shade. I'll often bring a book while the dogs play or chat it up with fellow dog owners. read more

I've been taking my 12 lb poodle mix, Bernie to the Redlands Dog Park and to Hound Town, the Moreno Valley dog park. I've had nothing but positive, good experiences at both of these dog parks. I stay completely on the small dog side as it it pretty obvious that things between the big dogs can go south quickly. Every so often a big dog is on the small dog side, but this has always been a gentle spirit who gets intimidated by the big dogs and is just more comfortable hanging out with the little guys. I had business in Riverside, so I decided to visit Carlson Bark Park while I was there. I pulled into the parking lot and immediately noticed that almost no one was in the dog park, but the many cars parked obviously belonged to people on the Mt. Rubidoux trail. I pulled in to a parking space and was arranging my belongs when I noticed that the car parked next to me had no dog, but it did have two very small children and two adults who were very out of it. It was a small family who was obviously living in their car. I felt a little deflated, but wanted to continue with my visit. As I got out of my car to get by dog from the back, I was approached by a homeless person and asked for money. By this time I had only my dog park gear-phone, keys, whistle and water, with me, so gently refused his request. Finally, I got Bernie out of his crate in the cargo area of my car and we made our way into the small dog side, which seemed to be deserted. There were some people on the big dog side with three large dogs and two medium sized dogs. The small dog side was very unusual in it's shape. It almost seemed like an afterthought to the big dog side of the park. It was extremely narrow, but very long. I let Bernie off his leash and decided to walk/jog with him the length of the park. As we were making our way, we approached one of the very large oak trees still in the park and just before we got even with the tree, I saw the legs of a man sleeping under the tree. Well, that did it for me-I was getting myself and my dog out of there. The park's location, adjacent to the Santa Ana River river bottom, means that the likelihood of encountering homeless people there is very high. But that is not the environment I want for myself or my dog at a dog park. So, for now, it is back to Redlands and Moreno Valley, whose parks are in areas where there is no likelihood of encountering homeless individuals or families and where one never feels uncomfortable or at risk. read more

It's a nice dog park with a good location for me HOWEVER, I have a 5 month old puppy and so I took him into the "Puppy Play Area". A portion of the barred fence near the entrance and exit of this area, the bars are way too wide for puppies, they fit right through the bars. I experienced this and my puppy got loose. While I was there two other puppies were able to get through the bars also. And there's no second gate to secure the area any further like the larger area. Just poor planning. Just wanted to give a heads up for anyone with puppies or very small dogs in that area of the dog park. read more

I like to bring my pit here as often as I can, I like that the property is sectioned off according to the dogs' size; puppy area, big dog area.... What I DON'T like are some of the CARELESS pet owners- people who's dog(s) bark at other dogs, the ones who snap at other dogs necks & bark at people..... which happend to me. The weather was perfect, the sun was out, and the heat was on. 80 degrees to be exact. Who wouldn't want to spend a Sunday in the sun with their furry friend? So what better way than to go to a dog park?! I love how this park offers fenced off sections for puppies, small dogs, large dogs and has a special are to train or teach your dogs tricks. They have poopy bags, benches, a water fountain and trees for shade. It feels nice to let your dog run leash free! =) The only complaint I have would be that there are some areas where grass is not growing. My Miss Daisy left with dirt all over her. But the people and dogs were all nice. The area for large dogs has small dogs as well. So I had a chance to let my dog interact with large and small dogs. I love the area that this park is in and would say this is a nice park. read more

this was my first time to this park and i love it! the agility area was nice and all 4 sections of this park were very clean. its divided into agility, small dog, large dog and puppy area. we took our 2 year old boston terrier and at first had her in the small dog area but she much more interested in the large dogs so we took her over and she loved it! the people that were there were nice and we spent a lot of time talking about our dogs but at the same time they were aware of what their dogs were up to. i like the drinking fountains and poop bags that were available as well as the benches and a few bigger trees providing shade. its also close to home so i'm sure we will be there a lot. read more

The park isn't as great as I feel it has the potential to be. Many people STILL don't pick up after their dogs, and the grass continues to wither. Nevertheless, it's not a bad place for a medium to large dog. Plus, Mt. Rubidoux is RIGHT THERE, so it's also an excellent place to take a hike --so to speak. =P read more

I've been bring my dog here ever since I got her and she LOVE this place. She was able to play with dog of her size (she is a large breed dog) and there were plenty of big dogs at the park. The park has multiple trash bags stations, water fountains, and trashcan. The park is separated into 4 sections: puppy, small breed, large breed, and obstacle course. The people who bring their dog are generally very nice people. No complaint! read more

Pretty large park for the pups to run around, deff needs more benches and be careful because there's a lot of crackheads that walk by, not sure where they come from or why they're there but they're the only reason why I don't like this park. read more

I absolutely love this park. I have a seven month old border collie Siberian husky mix. She is extremely active and playful and most of the dogs at this park are sweet as well as their owners. From what I've heard this park is extremely better then the one in Fontana plus it has the great Rubidoux mountain trails right behind you. Only downfall, some of the owners do not clean up after their dogs so you might need to look where you step just so you don't end up stepping in poop. read more

From the 91 W, you exit Mission Inn Road and turn right, then follow the road all the way down until you see signs for the dog park on the left. Today was my first time visiting this dog park. The location of the dog park is a little bit random, being right next to this rocky mountain, but at the same time the location was beautiful. The dog park is well built and felt integrated in the nearby downtown area with the historic Riverside Bell cut out of the walls. There is a small section for the smaller dogs and a large section for the bigger dogs to run around. There is even a section with a little obstacle course for the dogs. The dog owners were super friendly and there was a good amount of dogs even though the weather was a bit foggy and chilly. This is a great place to socialize your dog due to the seemingly large amount of dog traffic and large area to run around. read more

I used to bring my dog here all the time when I was going to school at UCR. She LOVED this park! She loved it so much that when we would take a road trip down to the area we'd have to stop by this park. It's changed a little over the time I've been coming here. More recently there's a little less parking than before, but still a decent amount. There's a large breed park, small breed park, and agility area. The agility area looks locked, but you can just move the latch on the gate to get in/out from the big dog park. Good amount of space and well socialized dogs that come here. Friendly people gave me tips since Cali was the first dog I ever owned. The parking lot also attaches to one side of Mt. Rubidoux, so you and your dog can hike too! A great place to bring your dog for some exercising. I have a golden retriever and usually bring her in the "small dog" area because she's kind of scared of big dogs lol. People with their small dogs usually don't mind when I do. There is also a puppy area, large dog area, and a agility area. My dog loves the agility area. We took the dogs here for the first time this morning. Our blind guy isn't much for socialization since so much of how dogs socialize needs to be seen, and our new girl isn't yet great at it yet. However, the puppy playpen, which was more than enough space for our two to run around, was wide open. From there, they got to sniff at the big dogs on the other side of the fence, but feel comfortable playing safely with us. Afterward we took them to the agility playground, which we had to ourselves for much of the time. Our girl ran on the skinny ramp/balance beam quite happily, and our blind guy contentedly sniffed at the ground after trying the wide ramp once. The dog owners seemed to be fairly attentive to their dogs behaviors, which I found very reassuring. Even so, it's great that there are both big and little dog pens, plus the aforementioned puppy area and the agility park. It was enough space to make nervous dogs feel comfortable, too! read more

It's a big park with a good amount of dogs usually. My German Shepard, Zuul, loves running there. The down side and why we won't be going there anymore is that after every time his eyes are green and goopy. There's something there ,since the dogs always vary, that he's allergic to. I was at another park and a woman told me she almost lost her 6 month old puppy to Parvo after a visit there. She admitted she was ignorant about Parvo, but it's still something to be careful of. BTW the puppy was fine after a long battle. read more

This park is nice. I take my two dobermans here. I like it cause it has plenty of space for dogs to run around and play. Most of the dogs that come to this park are usually friendly. Saturday's tend to be the bussiest. read more

Had a great experience here! Clean park and friendly dogs. I like that they allow littler dogs in with the big dogs. My dog is on smaller side and he loves playing with all different sizes. Took our two pups there, we fit on the "small dog" side although many small dogs were hangin' on the "Big Dog" side. Fun trying to get our girls to do the agility stuff but do take snacks if they are not already trained. We also forgot to bring a ball. How lame, I know. Many people park here to go to Mt. Rubidoux so don't be surprised if it is packed. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded at the park but many cars in the lot. read more

Great dog park for big dogs. Large field area to run and play catch. On busy days, the poop bags may run out, so bring some of your own for back up. The water fountain was jammed recently, so have some water just in case. Overall, great park for dogs. read more

Awesome park for our first time! My small Yorkie/Chihuahua mix had an awesome time, there's 3 parks which are divided: small breed, large breed, agility course. Although, no one really used the small dog park there was a lot of breeds mixed within the large breed park - puppies & sizes all mixed! It was really neat, everyone is really nice too! If you're trying to train your dog to be more socialized I suggest to go into the smaller park & work your way up. That way it won't throw off the balance for any of the dogs in the larger parks! Oh & make sure to clean up your dogs poo plz. Lol. read more

Nice park with great trails. This was our first time going and we really enjoyed it. The dog park was great and pretty well shaded. They also have benches available for the pet owners to relax at. We walked along the trails and enjoyed it. There was some glass here and there, but that was to be expected. Make sure you bring lots of water. The trails don't provide much shade if any at all so be cautious of what time of day you go. Very happy with our first time there! read more

This park WOULD be good if the grass were kept up. I take my dog to the park to exercise/play, not to roll in the mud like a pig. Also, Rubidoux walkers use the foutain then leave the gate open. :-S Needs turf improvement badly. Small dogs area is used by everyone for some reason. Best dog park I've been to. Beautiful at the base of Rubidoux mountain, you can go on a hike up the mountain with your dog, or walk along the paved scenic walkway or socialize him in the dog park which has a puppy play area, a small dog area, the large dog area is HUGE, and there's an agility area for all size dogs. No chain link fence, its all done nicely with wrought iron fence with a doggie design throughout. The location and the green grass is the best part. The only negative is that there is a part of the grass that was really really muddy and it hasn't rained in over a week, but it was just more fun for the dogs to stomp through. Visited this park May 6, 2018. Disappointed about the maintenance there. Many owners obviously do not pick up their dogs poop.

My one-year-old dog was attacked here today we have been coming to this park every day around the same time so far it was a great experience we were meeting other lovely dog owners and their lovely pets This was ruined for us today A large group of people came in with their German Shepherd not five minutes after they arrived both German Shepherd's attacked my dog for having so many people in their group not one tried to break up the fight all the other dog owners including myself had to step in to get the German Shepherd's off my dog there were two small children present and within close vicinity when this happened they are completely traumatized after everyone broke up the fight The group with a German Shepherd started yelling at everyone and acted as if they were nothing wrong with what just happened they continue to let their dogs run about the park snarling and growling and other dogs that still remain there were at least 5 to 6 dog families who quickly exited the park I don't know if I will ever return here. I'm hoping someone who got a photograph of these German Shepherd's and their owners will post their pictures so that this does not happen to anyone else. My dog Luke is OK and did not sustain any injuries thank you to everyone that helped out in this situation Luke and I are very grateful! read more

Great park. Big, lots of grass and shade. Usually busy with big dogs. However, people need to realize that this park has 4 different areas. Big dogs and small dogs have their own area. If you have a small dog, take it to the small dog area. It's the safest place for it. Big dogs tend to play rough with each other. Your squeak toy has no place in the big dog area. Also, keep in mind that you're at a dog park. Dogs have a mind of their own. If you're sitting in the grass reading a book don't get mad if a dog jumps on you. It's bound to happen. Use your head. It's your own fault. Other than that we love it here. :) read more

great dog park. we used to go to the one in loma linda but our dogs would always be so dirty because there was more dirt than grass. this dog park has an awesome small dog section that is long and skinny, great for tossing a ball. the large dog side is huge, definitely would bring a big dog there if i had one. it was quiet, there's fountains for the dogs, bags to pick up after them, picnic benches, and plenty of shade for owners. read more

I usually go to the dog park on pierce, which is awesome. This park is nice, but only has one area for dogs of all sizes. Two dogs tried biting my dog and i had to leave. Ive never had a problem with irresponsible owners or aggressive dogs at the other park, but at this one its a problem. read more

This was our first time at a Dog Park, our Maggie is 7mos old. The large dog area was perfect for her. She played well with the other dogs. She was so tired when we got home, just what we wanted. We will be back, we live in Moreno valley so it close to home. The park was clean & water for the dogs also shade for the owners. read more
