Large selection of cars. Very clean. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Car buying process took just about 3 hours including 2 test drives.

Traveled from Los Angeles to Tulsa to purchase an SUV. I've purchased several cars from various corporate/independent dealers in six different states but this experience surpassed all my previous. Dylan was very resourceful in prepping all documents, registration, and loan details in advance of my quick visit, answering all my questions/concerns. He was extremely creative in working with my tight schedule and helping resolve all finance details with my bank. When I arrived at CarMax, Corey greeted me with a very welcoming vibe and walked me through CarMax's rigorous inspection process on all vehicles. Corey took his time addressing my extensive questions and it eliminated the few doubts I had of working with CarMax. He also suggested a few good dinning restaurants while I was visiting which I really appreciated. Lastly a shoutout to Ashton who was detailed in walking my through the installment contract.

Even though the CX 5 and 50 were smaller then we anticipated, we can not say enough good things about Jayden. He was excellent and if we ever bought any Mazda, it would be from him.

The waiting area is clean, has bottles of water and a speciality coffee machine for customers waiting as well as tv and areas to plug in a laptop. The restrooms are clean and well stocked. A few napkins in the coffee area would be nice. The waiting time for a just oil with prior appointment is way too long. Waiting for 2 plus hours is rather ridiculous. Charging customers a service charge for using a credit card given that an oil change alone hits the $100 mark is unacceptable. Dealerships are not an enjoyable place to be anymore given the experiences that many consumers have gone through with some dealerships. Somehow the facade needs a change up to attract more customers maybe a Starbucks or someone start a Pupbucks where well behaved fuzzy faces are welcome to hangout with treats that can be purchased pet safe along with human treats. The whole car dealership image needs a big change up, not only for Nelson Mazda but all dealerships. The employees are nice and today even though I was seated at the edge of the sales floor the sales people kept their voices lower to help protect the privacy of consumers. Nelson Mazda treated us quite fairly when we purchased from them a new vehicle back in 2020. If the wait wasn't so long for an oil change and loyal customers taking their vehicles only to Nelson would have credit card fees waived I would have rated higher.

They were respectful, straightforward, and, most importantly, true to their word. When they said they would follow through on something, they did--and that speaks volumes. What stood out to us most was their willingness to listen, communicate, and genuinely make sure everything was handled the right way. That level of integrity and accountability is not something you always encounter in the car-buying process, and we truly appreciated it. David Skinner and Chandler Carey, are a credit to the dealership. Their professionalism, character, and commitment to doing right by their customers deserve to be recognized. People remember how they are treated, and these two left us with a very positive impression. Thank you, David Skinner and Chandler Carey, for showing us what it looks like when someone stands behind their word. We sincerely appreciate you both.

I exhausted every reasonable avenue to resolve these issues privately first--repeated calls/messages to my salesperson, several voicemails to the sales manager, messages for the service manager, and ultimately opening a case with Genesis Customer Care. I would have much preferred to resolve this directly, but after receiving no response from the dealership, I don't feel I have been left with another reasonable option. I purchased a 2024 Certified Pre-Owned GV80 from out of state. My salesperson, Adrian Anderson, described the vehicle as "pristine." Knowing I couldn't see it in person, I repeatedly asked for close-up photos of any flaws, particularly the wheels. When it arrived, I found significant rim damage that was not clearly visible in the photos I was provided. Communication had already been frustrating during the sale. I made it clear I was a serious buyer ready to move forward, but the process dragged on for days because responses were so slow. I remained patient because Adrian repeatedly told me how busy he was. It wasn't until I was ready to walk away from the deal that suddenly things moved quickly. I also had to arrange transportation to New Mexico entirely on my own, as the dealership offered no assistance with transport. Once the vehicle arrived, there were more concerns. It was poorly detailed, with makeup and grime still inside and the previous owner's car-wash stickers on the window. Genesis Connected Services had not even been transferred to me--the previous owner's information was still in the vehicle, and no one from the dealership assisted me with getting it properly set up. Most importantly, the vehicle has a heavy vibration and pulls to the right. Since taking ownership, the communication that was difficult before the sale has essentially disappeared. I cannot get my salesperson, sales management, or service management to return my calls. I finally contacted Genesis Customer Care, and even they have been unsuccessful in getting the dealership to respond. I still do not have my second key fob, the 191-point CPO inspection I have repeatedly requested, or confirmation of when the vehicle was inspected/serviced--particularly concerning since the service information was never reset in the vehicle. I understand that a used vehicle may have imperfections or develop an issue. That isn't why I'm leaving one star. It's the combination of how this CPO vehicle was represented and prepared, the issues discovered after delivery, and most of all, the complete lack of support once the sale was finished. I was patient and courteous throughout this entire process and gave Genesis of Tulsa every opportunity to make things right. Unfortunately, I now genuinely regret purchasing from this dealership and would not do so again.

For something that could have been handled in 30-90 minutes, we ended up spending over 8 hours. On top of that, the attitude of the men at the service desk was below standard with little to no ambition towards a pleasant experience or help troubleshooting. Instead, we got a lot of finger pointing, staffing complaints, and other excuses. One positive note (and why it's not 1 star) was the salesman, Evan, who got us the car 6 months earlier stepped over from the showroom to show us some kindness (he had no reason or motive to do so). It did help to know that someone at the dealership cared.
